cudahy_boy,
upload the file that you have and we will have a look.
How did you make the file?
Are you sure the extention is .txt and not something else?
If you do not use a txt file, what happens does it load the ROM?
I wanted the front facing camera but today was a busy day I guess something went wrong and I could get it to read my sims net work it would constantly tell me to connect later so I use qdl or which ever gool that is and it brought me back to stock froyo and I had to re root it but I keep flashing clockwork recovery mod but when I boot into recover its just a black screen any ideas

Hey guys! I just rooted my vibrant, changed the os to 2.2 froyo, flashed auxora final custom rom, and finished with the black froyo "skin" and adw launcher pro... however, now I keep running into the problem where my system keeps crashing. It started when I tried to access the camcorder, but now does it quite often...what should I do? Is it just the launcher or something else? Please help with step by step instructions please!
Skin wont work with the lockscreen, obin back

So let me get this straight... If I want to flash a skin or new rom then I do that by flashing the .zip file when in recovery mode. If I want to revert to some system or rom, then I need to use odin to do this? Also, can I use odin to directly flash back to froyo 2.2 using three files found here? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=799105
Skin are usually flashed with metemorph roms flash with cwm from rom manager, and to go back flash eugennes froyo that wont brick, "or what I do" odin back to 2.1 and start from new so theres no curruption or ghost

Hello All,
Anyone having issues with their Dell Streak where the three lights randomly flash 4 or 5 times and then goes black for a few minutes? I just rooted my phone and am now running into this issue!!
Thoughts or recommendations on how to stop this!! It is quite frustrating.
If you would search you'll find several solutions..
It's most likely something to do with flashing an incorrect recovery

What Should I Search On?
I have yet to find any solution to this problem. If anyone can point me to a direction to search, I would appreciate it.
This happened to me couple of times.
As far as I know this is because you have incompatible versions of baseband and ROM. This should not happen after rooting or flashing only recovery. But It happens if you flash new ROM, and leave old baseband, for example new StreakDroid requires you to update baseband
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=909263
I think (I'm no expert), that official updates through Update.pkg flash both ROM and compatible baseband (amss.mbn). But if you flash only ROM through upgrade.zip file, it will flash only ROM and leave baseband alone, and thus you can end up having incompatible versions.
Depending what do you want to flash, you can use Update.pkg and it should fix the problem (lots of them here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=805112)
Or if you want to flash custom ROM through .zip file, make sure you have proper baseband.
Just qdl it and let it reflash both the rom and bb for u. No flashing capacitive lights.

I had streakdroid 1.9.1 installed on my rogers streak, I had quite a few issues with it and wanted to revert back to stock rom.
once I unrooted and factory reset I flashed the stock rogers rom via fast boot with the right recovery image.
one done I get the dell logo on screen and it stays there FOREVER.. like its been on the logo screen for over an hour.
What am I doing wrong and how long should it take to install and what not.
I might not have all the right info in here Im a newbie sorry in advance
Envious1
so I loaded the streak in fastboot mode
then on pc went to cmd and made sure I had the right recovery img in the folder and the right pkg file on the sdcard
put in the command and installed the recovery img
then the streak reloaded and I went to update.pkg and it did that
android system recovery utility - GAUSB1A13500
Press the shutter button to start emergency software recovery
ect...
now its stuck on dell logo.. how long should it take after an hour I rebooted and it went directly to white page that said emergency sofware recovery start.
what should I do.
you could flash 1.9.1 again, that will save your phone.
You could keep trying to flash a stock rom and eventually it will work.

how do I do that. via fast boot because I cant even boot into the dell only fastboot

Basically do what you did when you installed streakdroid 1.9.1 into your streak.
Then retry the stock recovery and rom again is, what i think eSZee is trying to say, correct me if i am wrong.
so I got 1.9.1 installed back on but now when I boot up and select dell stages I get a whole bunch of errors and closes it.
do I need to update the baseband is that my issue? if so how do I do that.
SD 1.9.1 breaks the Stage UI. DJSteve doesn't like stage and has no interest in it. Posts in the 1.9.1 thread have said that if you remove Stage from the Streak with 1.9.1 and then use the aps to re-install it it will work. YMMV and I don't use Stage or 1.9.1 so this is untested by me.

Dell UI is laggy ... you will have better experience with the other lauchers.

Hi
I successfully sbf back to stock froyo and just gingerbreak 1.2 and motodx_bootstrap_signed. and then proceeded to add sdcard from zip in bootstrap mode and got upgraded to gb pre rooted with p3droids zip file. heres where i messed up I went to the themes section in xda droidx2 forums and tried to add fukenblack theme it didnt work so i tried to add the stock framework on the post still just boot loop . now when i try to sbf back to froyo i get an rsdlite "error validating files" and ive redownloaded the just in case . any help would be appreciated otherwise i got to wait till the upgrades offered here and say it happened from that

First of all, that theme hasn't been ported to GB yet. I made the same mistake, however I was at work and my work computer doesn't allow me to download the tools I needed to SBF etc... I didn't try to revert back to the default with that one download he included, I just started from scratch SBFing back to Froyo and doing it all over again.
If you get that error use 7zip to unpack the sbf file

yeah i cant do the sbf to froyo thats when i get error validating files. i just tried to do the update.zip again and p3droids or verizons both give me an error 7 something about dialer.apk. the loop i get is the droid noise and word looping continuously. hope they release the update here soon so i can call and say it screwed up my phone
thanks for the reply though if anyone else has any ideas id love to try them

You can't do the update until after you successfully sbf, once you get that working start all over
