Hey Guys,
as the thread title says, every time i try and assign a com port to the GPS, that setting gets erased and reset to (none).. any ideas?
Update: I tried going back to the stock bell rom, and it allows me to assign a hardware port and save it. Switched back to the DCD, and even PPC one (after re-upgrading radio/bootloader) and still not working... additionally i also noticed that the ##778# program is not working either .
Any ideas again?
Is it poosible you have a task amanager running that closes programs when you click in the top right? It may be closing the settings box instead of saving it with the ok button. I've seen others with a similar issue. Try using the hard "ok" button on the phone instead of tapping ok in the top right to see if it saves.

From what I understand, the "Hardware" port is only needed if you have an external GPS connected to the phone. Being that you have no other GPS connected, it's automatically setting itself back to none. These settings are not necessary when using the internal GPS. The port located in the Programs tab is what's critical for "Programs" to use.
Mine does the same thing, but of course I don't use my external gps because I JUST got my internal working!!!
thanks for the insight guys.
Anyone have any idea as to why the ##778# program isnt working? I need it to set up data on the phone. For some reason it's not working on DCD's, but works on the stock bell, as well as JD's (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=32990)
If you're looking for EPST, try just ##778 Send. That brings it up for me.
im not able to turn on my bluetooth on my cell phone! i search and search for a patch or answer of why this is happening but i still havent figure it out. To be more specific i go to comm manager communication and click on the turn on bluetooth and it doesnt go on. i also tried going to setting connection and click turn on bluetooth and than ok and it wont go on i tried everything to get it to go on! i did a hard reset a week ago for this reason to fix the bluetooth issue it worked but now it doesnt again. please help me!
I've been searching and searching with no answers. Every thread on BT connection issues die off unsolved.
Well, hopefully this thread doesn't end that way.
I have a Jabra Cruiser 2 and early on it was the only thing I had paired. Press the connect button on the Jabra and my phone would connect right up with no user intervention. Later I flashed a couple other roms and found this auto connect stopped working. I don't think its worked since UnNamed 1.3 but not exactly sure. I also tried flashing different modems for a while but can't say if that matches up with this failing to work.
Does the modem have anything to do with BT?
Anyway, I've tried flashing ICScrewed 2.0.1 from scratch with a complete wipe of everything and it still doesn't work. I've flashed Entropy's last few DD's in a row and those didn't help either.
When Jabra is powered on and ready to connect my phone sits there saying "Paired" but doesn't try to connect on its own. I press the Jabra selection in BT Settings and it then changes to "Connected" and I can stream music through it. Even at this point I can't use the Jabra for telephone calls. I've made sure the options for music and telephone are checked under the Jabra settings.
...and yes I've deleted the BT pairing and paired from scratch. I did restore BT pairing once from Titanium but that was several roms and wipes ago. So unless it saves information to a folder, there shouldn't be any remnants.
Is there a folder somewhere that holds BT settings that can be wiped? Should I flash a new modem? Any ideas at all would be helpful at this point.
Nobody has problems with their BT? There has to be a way of clearing the BT settings from everywhere and pairing from scratch beyond the obvious.
Guess I set this thread up for failure by saying, I hope this doesn't die like every other BT thread.
...Maybe someday the BT problems of the I777 world will be solved.
Have you tried pairing your phone with any other BT device other than your Jabra Cruiser?
Have you tried going back to the same ROM (stock or otherwise) that used to work with your Cruiser?
That should narrow down the causes of your problem.
I use Jawbone headset and ever since I've started using it, I need to click it once to connect with my phone (I have set to turn off bluetooth automatically after every call.). But I don't have any problem with that.
Just bought a used T-mobile LG V10 and everything works fine except I cannot connect to wifi or bluetooth.
Both say "Connection not allowed" next to them in the networks menu. And when I try to turn them on they can't find anything. I've tried rebooting and factory reset a few times. No luck.
IMEI is clean as well.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
I also have the same problem, I went as far as disassembling the phone and making sure nothing was disconnected, still nothing
Hi,
need a bump on this thread, I got the same problem......rooted and on 6.0...........
T-mobile variant......
Any insight will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
I also have the same issue. According to YouTube the bottom left of the phone has a chip that controls wifi/bt. Didn't seem like a hard fix, but im not attempting it lol
I can no longer activate the bluetooth of the watch. Strangely, it is still connected to the phone and everything works, but I can no longer connect my headphones and my cardio belt. Has anyone come across this problem before. is there a solution ?
Merci
Firmware update 4.2.3.0 don't change anything

Same problem. I can't pair phone with watch when I want using unlocking phone with Bluetooth.
Same problem, when I try to activate Bluetooth to pair it with my earphones, it says "Activating Bluetooth" and then "Bluetooth deactivated"
Same problem here. Can't pair with heart rate sensor (4.2.4.0 version). I send a mail to Amazfit, awaiting reply,
Same here, please see https://forum.xda-developers.com/smartwatch/amazfit/amazfit-stratos-3-bluetooth-earphones-t4052503
Anyone knows how to fix this?
It seems new update 4.2.5.0 fixed this, i had to turn WiFI first (earlier nothing worked).

Can you please explain the steps? I'm unable to turn on wifi and therefore update the watch..
Hey,
i installed new update then tried to turn BT to check if it works now and it resulted in usual BT OFF, then i went to WiFi section, found my home network (had to type password in app) then i went back to bluetooth option and i was able to turn it on- i could find my HR belt in settings/accesories section of an activity.
edit, 02.04.2020:
today same problem as before- bluetooth keeps turning off

Hi,
Can you try these steps?
Go to system Settings in the smartwatch.
Under Settings, scroll down list and tap "About."
Under "About," scroll down to "Legal Statement."
Continuously tap on "Legal Statement" until "Lab" appears below it.
Tap on "Lab" and select "Signal Strength."
Tap "Start." A Pass or Fail message will appear once the test is complete.

I've just done the test and it passed OK.
However, enabling Wifi does not change Bluetooth behavior (still changes back to Disconnected)

I've tried the wifi connection trick, and it doesn't work.
Also, did the lab signal Strength test, and it says Fail. But I am able to connect to wifi, and to pair with the phone.

It seems we are experiencing similar and related issues. Mine connects to the phone (using Bluetooth) but Bluetooth doesn't turn on (for earphones, etc.) and my wifi doesn't capture any network.
Already tried to factory reset several times and anything I can think of. Any suggestion is welcomed to try to fix this.
I will contact the Amazfit support again

Just to clarify, although the strength test fails for wifi, I am able to connect to a wifi using setting > connection > wifi.
Looking forward to see what they say to do. They told that I should contact my retailer to claim the warranty.

Not really.. The Amazfit support is not helpful.
I have installed the newest firmware using the instrucions on this forum but didn't fix it.
Found several people with the same issue in the forum but no fix..
Both bluetooth and wifi are not working for me. But I am able to connect to the app.
Hello, i have the same problem, see below the amazfit support answer
