I was looking through techblogs and found this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=980018 where they were able to use Google's as of yet unannounced cloud music service, but on rooted 2.3 using the 3.0 music player. I was wondering if this would work for our Fascinates on 2.2 or if anyone's tried it yet
edit: after posting this, this thread showed up http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=984228
I tried downloading the apk for this, but it would not install.. anyone else having luck? The new Music.apk is posted in android development.

Youtube videos on the Hero open in the HTC flash player, which would be fine if it weren't for the crappy quality, choppy video and distorted colours. On my G1 I was able to open youtube videos in the Youtube application, which is of a considerably higher quality. Is there a way to do this on the Hero
Sorry if this question has been asked, I did a search both on the Forum and on Google but I was unable to come across an answer.
Thanks
I have the very same question. I've been searching the forum and the web without success so far. Anyone?
It is built into the Modaco ROMs. I'd suggest either installing one, or downloading one and seeing if you extract and install the APK.
Regards,
Dave
Which APK? The official ROM already has the youtube app, I just want it to be launched when I click on a youtube video within the browser...
Any other way without changing ROMs?
I'm still looking for a way to do it without switching ROMs, too. If anyone has any ideas please let us know
I would (also) like to know how/if it can be done.
Currently, when I need to play a link in the YouTube app, I copy/paste and load the page in the Steel browser. Steel will let me choose to either use the HTC Flash Player or the YouTube app.
I would have liked the HTC people to at least leave the option with the users...

I catn seem to view video on my Gtablet. I am running Bottle of smoke and have flash instatlled. should I put something on my ssettings? Does anyone n eed more info. I can only view you tube but nothing on facebook or nothing sent to me via email. Really want to see an email sent and I have to pull up my email on my phone or laptop. This kill the reason for having my tablet if I have to keep going back to my phone and laptop. PLEASE HELP> Will try anytthing but I need some advise.
BOS doesn't support flash in the stock browser (there is a workaround in the BOX OP over at slatedroid). For full flash support you could check out Flasback (honeycomb) or one of the many popular Froyo/Gingerbread based Roms.
I'm not very knowledgeable about the ROMs. I bought this tablet used and it already had BOS enstalled.
Is there anywhere I can find step by step instructions on how to change the ROM in order to get all my video access. Please advise. I am not real familiar but eager to learn.
Mobo Player in Market
From your post it is unclear to me if you're having issues watching Flash videos or with video files in general. If you are having trouble watching videos then I would suggest you download this free video app from the Market and the free codec pack and you should be able to watch any video on your gTab.

This site has the tutorials you'll need to change roms. http://viewsonic-gtablet-for-dummies.webs.com/
For the best video performance go with something froyo based.
Sorry,
I know this question probably gets asked a lot for this, however i did search the forum and couldn't find an answer to my problem.
Has anyone here been able to get Avatar.dcf to play on CM7 or NB's ICS v10+ ? I'm not sure if it's because i don't have the .apk (I have the actual .dcf file i backed up), if it's because i don't have a stock video player, or if i'm just missing something else... or just that it won't play because it's ICS. My root browser doesn't seem to see the file at all.
Would love to get a chance to get this up and running again. Any help is appreciated.
I bought my Vibrant used, and the Avatar icon didn't work on it. If you have the Avatar movie, you can always encode your own mp4.
I haven't seen any music players that claim they can do this. I'm not even sure if it's possible, but can any non stock music players be configured to access uploaded Google Music files? I find the stock Google Music app to be a little limited.

Cloud Sniper just makes the downloaded off line tracks available. I'm wondering about a program that allows access to the cloud files, not one that are downloaded.

Thanks! That's a great find. Glad to see that somebody is working on this.
I went to install the flash player on my Verizon SGS3 and I see this note in the Google Play page.
*** NOTE: FLASH PLAYER IS NO LONGER BEING UPDATED FOR NEW DEVICE CONFIGURATIONS. FLASH PLAYER WILL NOT BE SUPPORTED ON ANY ANDROID VERSION BEYOND ANDROID 4.0.x ***
While Flash Player remains on Google Play for installation on Android devices that are certified by the manufacturer, installing Flash Player on an uncertified device may result in unexpected behavior and can potentially destabilize your device. A list of certified devices can be found at http://www.adobe.com/go/certifieddevices. Flash Player WILL NOT be supported on any device shipped with or upgraded to an Android version beyond Android 4.0.x
Personally this stinks for me because I like to use sites other then just YouTube, like LiveLeaks.com for example. I've searched Google and XDA only to find the question asked a bunch of times and there is either no answer to the question or people are told to try a different browser. I've tried 3 browsers myself and none of them work. (Android, Chrome, and Dolphin HD)
Has anyone else gotten flash to work with their SGS3, and if so... how?
Thanks
I installed the flash 11 from play store and it seems to be working fine for me...websites with flash content which were not working earlier worked for me...just try it and see....i am using at&t s3

The flash player should work in the market. Just make sure you don't use chrome.

I did an uninstall/reinstall of Flash and have gotten it to work with Dolphin HD browser. Only issue now is the videos start out pixelated for about the first minute then seem to work normal. I have seen some other posts mentioning the audio and video don't seem to match up and I haven't ran into that problem yet.
