Why? and v4 wasn't gingerbread. v4 was still froyo.

Couldnt you have asked this in the kaoscinate thread?
I did have V4, but seems like I deleted it.

Like the others, I'm a bit confused why you would make a separate thread to ask this question, especially since question threads go in the Q&A section (it doesn't bother me, it's just confuses me). And yes, v4 was still froyo based.
But anyway, here it is:
http://rom2.galaxysense.com/rom.galaxysense.com/kaos/kaoscinate-v4.zip

Sorrt for the issues, I own the galaxysense servers, recently we made a move and som files were displaced

i dont think anyone would *really* need an older version of an alpha rom....

[Q] rooted x10i now what

Hi, really sorry if posted before please dont flame shout or anything else.
i have managed to root my x10i.
my phone has the following details
uk on 3
firmware 2.1 update1
baseband 2.1.54
kernel version 2.6.29
build number 2.1.a.0.435
what i want to know is what should i do now???? i would like to install a new rom.
which one do i choose.... there are many threads with links here, there, and everywhere and i am finding it confusing, i am new to this and would appreciate any help and advice that you could part to a willing and eager x10i user.
i would prefer to use/have a fully working rom inc camera and video playback.
i understand this will limit my options,
i dont mind using a stripped down stock rom.
thanks in advance for any help
It is possible for you to get 2.2, but dont know which version is the best, thinking rdannar or what he's called. it doesn't have a functioning cam, but you can get that from apps.

mmmh the camera works in most of the roms but the quality really isnt great. there is a 2.1custom stripped down se rom which im using and that is full functional and much faster than the standard se. just go through the 1st to pages on the android development and take your pick, they all list whats working and whats not.the 2.1 roms will mostly be fully functional
i got my x10a last week on friday an within 12 hurs rooted 1.6 installed 2.1.a.0.435 rooted that installed Root Explorer, xRecovery, hunnycomb 2.1 rom.
used this to install new F/W

Well.
Have you considered the applications you can use?
http://www.androidpolice.com/2010/07/13/8-great-apps-every-rooted-android-user-should-know-about/ (I know.. Old news, but still gives some idea)
Regarding ROMS: If you paint a SAAB blue, it doesn´t become a Volvo. Some parts of the 2.2> roms still uses big parts o the 2.1-update 1 firmware and it uses the same bootloader
thanks guys for all the replys and links. i have just used the go3easys rom

Questions regarding MIUI ROM

Hi,
Sorry for making new topic, but i couldn't find the Official thread neither a useful thread about this ROM.
I've just downloaded the rom from http://miuiandroid.com/roms/miui-development-roms/
1. Is this the best stable version? (meaning newest directly from this site, 2.1.13)
2. Can i flash SpeedMod or Siyah with this ROM?
3. I've noticed that some have five icons at the Dock, how can i activate this function, or is it something included in every theme?
4. Is the App folder function built in, in this ROM?
5 I've noticed there's the official ROM, and Galnet, and some others. Which one is the best and fastest?
thanks guys, and please share your thoughts about this ROM.

That's because this site is nothing to do with MIUI. On the link you provided, the second button at the top is a link to their forums where you can discuss it.

Help - most STABLE P500 rom for old BB

hi guys,
I hope somebody here could help me - I'm looking for the most stable ROM + Gapps for my old baseband P500. I really use it for work, so I cant afford to have it crash. I already have it rooted and installed recovery just yesterday from ROM Manager.
I installed a few different ROMs, but they are not stable. I have heard of other ROMs like PerfectPeso, etc. but it seems either the dev has quit or it has gone new baseband only. On facebook, I read about some people talking about CosmicExperia 3.5.. but not sure about that. I would have preferred gingerbread based ROMs, but hey... beggars cant be choosers.
On top of that, mediafire is no longer working, so I have even fewer working links now.
If you guys have some recommendations, could you please, please point me to download links as well ?
Mik's CM7.....Stable!

Why not update your BB... and use the cm nightlies... (Yeah they are very stable)
For Old BB use mik's 6.5.8 ROM (Most stable)

x10 ICS?

Sorry for creating this thread as I didn't really find all the information I need by searching it. These question may sound very noobish but I don't really know much about it so here goes nothing:
1. Is there a really fully-working version of ICS for x10? [I'm asking that because Dev "Feravolt" has been talking about his next rom on ICS]
2. Is this version of ICS is like the official vesion of ICS [I know that its not officially released for x10 and its ported]
3. Is it compatible with locked bootloader?
4. Where can I find the fully working version [Latest]?
Thank You!!

[Q] MIUI V5 and its soft brick.

Hi guys,
I might seem like a new member, but I actually lurk the forum all the time, and have flashed and troubleshooted a lot.
Unfortunatly, I cannot post this in the proper forum, cause of my restrictions, so I'll just give it a go here...
Before 4.1.2 stock Sammy was released, I had been using MIUI V4 for a very long time.
Now with the release of MIUI V5 on 4.1.2, I cant wait to actually start using this, but the soft brick bug which people encounter concerns me.
I wanted to ask this in the ASNET MIUI V5 thread, but as I cannot post it in there, I'll just ask a general question here;
Does the ASNET ROM also contain the Russian Roulette Soft Brick Bug? If so, is there anyone that can recommend me a different MIUI V5 ROM?
Perhaps the unofficial AOSP ROM? Or whatever is out there?
I hope some MIUI V5 users can convince me to finally make the switch.
I'd be able to solve the soft brick bug, but the thrills I get when my phone does not boot anymore, is just horrible.
Sometimes I think I'm too independant as a regular flasher.
Remove my thread if I did something wrong, or this question does not belong here.
I've been browsing en.miui.com, miuiandroid and whatsoever for weeks now, and I still cant detect a reliable MIUI V5 ROM..
Im using MIUI v5 myself and I dont experience any problems at all.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
started using Miui v5 from official site the day it was released .....damn this rom is pretty and smooth
Rom : MIUI V5
Kernel : HIROX V5 INTENSIVE
Modem : NELP2
click THANKS if you think my post was HELPFUL
Hey i have the same problem. I install miui v5 and use for about 2 weeks. However after that time my phone closed and i could not boot it again. I really want to use this rom but because of that issue i can't use it . Is there any proper solution for this issue??
Bump
I still have this issue, can anyone confirm if it has been fixed or is it just me?
Kernel: SiyahKernel S2-v6.0beta5
MIUI: Official 3.8.9 from the MIUI website
I know I'm using an outdated MIUI version, as the lastest is 3.8.23, so is it something that happens in 3.8.9 and the update will fix it? To be honest, I've had a hard time finding anything related to this matter anyway. It seems to be something exclusive to my phone and a few others.
