I'm running EB01 with the DL09 radio and I can still text. Is there a file to install the EA28 radio?

Is it really no eb01modem available for CWM?

If you can figure out how to flash a full modem via CWM and not a modem delta, which is what comes in OTA packages, then yes, we have a CWM modem for you. Otherwise, it's Odin/Heimdall only.

I think modem changes since DJ05 have been minimal if anything at all. I've been on the DL09 modem and it's worked fine with Froyo ROMs. Don't see why EA28 wouldn't work.

I can confirm - I'm running SC 2.9 with EA28 baseband. Everything works flawlessly, including SMS.

I'm not sure if you can install it with the stock recovery because I use the ClockworkMod. You should just get Rom Manager from the market and flash it. It's simple. For Ext2 you can use it on a stock kernel fine with OCLF in the market. For Voodoo (Ext4) you need to flash a kernel that comes with it on a Rom that supports it. Like Bionix.

Whoops. Learn something new everyday. It didn't work for me on stock JI6 though, so I figured you needed a compatible ROM.

OTA update after flashing Bionix 1.91

I'm getting update notifications daily after installing Bionix. I think I brought it over when I restored my titanium backup. Can anyone tell me how to delete the update, and reset whatever settings control the notification nags?

It's because you're running the stock kernel most likely. if you are running any alternative you shouldn't get the update notifications.
How cani check that?

Bionix is a ROM and he offers it packaged with different kernels. So flash either 1.9 or fusion 1.1 with a kernel other than stock (JAC or KK).

EA28 Odin files?

Has anyone come up with odin files for the modem, rom, etc for EA28 release?

Why? I suppose there could be some value, but if you want to remain at stock VZW you should be able to flash either the full DI01 or DL09 packages and get the OTA update, right?

Correct, however it would save time to go straight to their last official update if need be. Also did they release an EA28 radio, or does the OTA use the DL09 radio?

I have a friend who has a stock fascinate (rooted to use wifi tether), and he is indeed on EA28 Baseband version.
Im also looking for Odin EA28 files
EA28 is NO different except the Emergency Call update they ran. It wouldn't look fishy at all to return a DI01 or DL09, all you'd have to say is you did not accept the update.
Here's some justification as to why it would be helpful:

I would also like to flash up my modem... I have had a few missed calls and would really like to update just the modem... Would be a nice thing to have.
With all of these posts and articles going around that VZ will start tracking and throttling/disconnecting rooters by tracking if they are using the latest OTA version it would be nice if they could see we are using the last radio they officially support and expect.

flashing anything removes baseband and signal

the other day i DL and flashed CM7 trigger redux. i love everything about it except the stock kernal. when i first flashed the rom everything i flashed after that would take away my baseband and my signal completely, rendering my phone useless unless i connected to a wifi. i then managed to get a kb5 modem for cm7.1, which worked just fine. however i still cannot get a kernal on my phone. i took the cm7 kernals for 2.3.4, including platypus and the nightlys [they are all located in the bible]
im guessing since the 7.1 modem flashed just fine, i need to find a kernal for cm7.1?
are there any in circulation atm? or would the cm website be the best place for these kernals?
i apologize for the noob questions, but i am new to 2.3

Yeah my imei number is there. This is crazy, I've never had any problems flashing anything before. Its like my phone won't let me flash any other kernel, but the one that comes with cm7. I can flash cm7.1 modems just fine though

There are 3 kernels right now for the vibrant updated enough to work with the latest nightlies. But only glitch and kernel de jour have been updated, and personally glitch seems to be better (plus, I'm running glitch v11 right now and have been following that thread).
I'm pretty sure all the CM7 kernel links in the bible are too old and therefore, you lose your baseband.

GN-N7005 GALAXY NOTE LTE/ Latest ICS UPDATE

This is the Latest update for the above. works with our at&t Note.
I flashed it using http://samsung-updates.com/Odin307.zip
1. put your phone in Download Mode. Plug your device to your computer, open Odin 3.0.7 click on PDA and find the tar file.
Make sure you let Odin finish flashing. Only unplug your device when Odin gives you a message saying, PASS.
Now reboot your phone to recovery and wipe data and reboot.
Good luck

It does work with our Note. In my opinion, it's a lot smoother but you be the judge of that if you flash it.
As for root, yes it will delete Root but you can gain root easy as 1 2 3.

Confirmed it works just fine. Does seem smooth. Oh, nice updated Odin too.
I installed this rom and my data wasn't working. For anyone else having this issue I posted the apn screenshot from my phone.
Why would you wanna flash the hong kong version when you can just check for updates over the air. If youre on UCLF6 stock, It should prompt you for an update to UCMB4 OTA.
