Other stuffs:
SGS Boot/Shutdown Animations (NO VZW CRAP!)
Lots of ringtones & sounds kanged from aosp
Some wallpapers courtesy of WickedBeav
hacked lights.default.so for BLN (if using compatible kernel) - Neldar
AOSP style lockscreen (to switch back to puzzle lock, create a file named /data/local/enable_glass_lock, or if you are using voodoo5 and my custom cwm "red" recovery, look under advanced options)

ALL VZW and Bing crap (except for browser, looking to fix that, but Dolphin HD is better anyways )

If you are using a voodoo5 kernel, you DO NOT need to uninstall or wipe data or anything, just flash as you normally would (provided you are using my custom cwm "red" recovery). But, as always, if you have issues wiping data is not a bad idea.
Enjoy.

Awesome rom jt. Fyi if anyone is using bln and or blinky you will have to uninstall and reinstall them both.
SCH-I500 - DJ05/SuperClean .8/Nemesis OTB 1200lv/Voodoo5/Darkstar
thanks.
Is there a source version of contacts and calendar?
JT are any of the stock apps in Rom manager DJ05 apps? I like the puzzle lock's ability to unlock directly to the stock MMS program.
Thanks
Man jt. You're balling outta control son.
Had updated swype so when I flashed this it gave me swype fc issues. Had to make android kb default and redo update swype. Then it was fine if anyone has the same issue

@Mydnightsorrow - don'f forget to update ya sig
Thank you. Downloading now.
silly install question
I presume one has to go through the whole DJ05 install process documented elsewhere before flashing this rom, right? Contrarily, I assume it would be a monumentally bad idea to flash this over a DI01 superclean with some ancient voodoo kernel, right?
Just checking ..

Yes, do NOT flash this over DI01 or over old voodoo, you would not have a good outcome...

Jt1134: you should include the newest v2.15 Swype beta he's mentioning. It's soooo much better than the v2.2 build in your .7 ROM. Those damn "hidden word" pop up's are mostly fixed in it. Located here:

jt1134: This issue has persisted since we "got" the "new" YouTube app, in all versions of the ROM. Sideloading it does the same. It's behavior is exactly as he states. Any idea what's wrong? Need logs / help debugging, holla, I should be in IRC most of the time too.

This would be the ROM portion. You'd still need to flash the modem and a kernel to go to DJ05
So if you wanted to revert back to stock (just in case), would you just nandroid restore from a DJ05 restore point? Or do you have to flash adry's DJ05 ROM? Thanks!

So I could in theory flash this and then flash the stupidfast dj05 and then flash the radio? Does the order matter?
I had it in my head I would have to flash the kernel rom and radio that were in that Dj05 thread and then flash all this stuff over it. I guess that was wrong.
Also, is there a way to use ODIN on a mac?

[Q] The Perfect Storm 1.3 recent apps mod

Can't post in the android dev forum yet, so I'm asking a question here.
I'm trying to get the recent applications restored in the notification bar. I went to the mikmik forums webpage and downloaded the mod.
When I boot into CWR and try to install the zip file, it aborts the installation. Is there a setting I'm missing?
Running Perfect Storm 1.3 with the Ziggy 4.10 kernel

How to enable swap?

I have imoseyon's lean kernel and in the forum post he said that I should enable swap, but I have no idea how to do that. I have downloaded the tweak zip file as well as the enable swap file, but I don't know how to actually enable it.
I used the terminal to type in Su /data/impartin/swap.sh, but nothing happens.
I am in the special edition kernel and using bamf 1.7.

Flash Imoseyon's enableswap.zip from recovery. It's posted on his leankernel froyo thread, but not on his AOSP/GB thread (not sure why he didn't post it there, works fine on CM7/GB.)

[ROM][ODIN][EC09][6-19-2011]TouchWiz Gingerbread Leak!

Due to many bugs in EC09 and the widely reported SD Card issues, I am now recommending that you flash ED01-series Froyo ROMs or one of the AOSP Gingerbread ROMs (andmer's MIUI or jt's CM7).
I take no credit for this, but I thought that it should be in the development section. The leak has not been verified, so proceed at your own risk. P3Droid has leaked this after an intense argument with some of our beloved Fascinate developers. To read more about that, go to the general forum. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1128886)

MIRROR: http://www.multiupload.com/CBDCQE5PWO
The mirror is courtesy of shinebox. The mirror from mydroidworld is very slow.
Please post back if you flash it with your results. PM me if you want anything added to this OP.
You will need ODIN.
Instructions:
Download from the mirror link. Assuming you already have the Samsung drivers and Odin installed, proceed and flash in ODIN in the PDA section. It should take 3 to 5 minutes. Profit.
Notes:
This will wipe your data!
This Odin package includes everything that you need (Rom, Kernel, Radio)
It is probably not the final version of GB, so it is unstable.
Know how to use ODIN and adb before you proceed.
The ROM is fully bloated, binged, and it doesn't have root!
I am not responsible for this leak or your bricked phone.
This runs a .35 TouchWiz kernel, so don't flash anything for ASOP, Froyo, Eclair, CM7, or MIUI!
Changes & Issues (incomplete list):
Stock browser has issues downloading. Results in FC.
Netflix can't be downloaded from the market without a build.prop change.
Less stable than Froyo (ED01 or later)
Notification bar has changed. Look at the screenshots.
May have GPS tweaks.. TBD
New MODEM in the all in one (Can get it separate... check here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1132236)
Multitouch rotate gesture doesn't appear to work
SD Card could be corrupted or formatted! Always backup!
Hacks:
Build.prop hack by nitsuj17
nitsuj17 said:
just switched the build prop to hopefully list the phone as a nexus instead of fascinate cuz google voice wasnt showing up for me
this fixes that...but idk what else

Multitouch Rotate Fix by redeyes
(original by jbdroid: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1017268)
redrol said:
First off I am a total noob at this stuff but I did manage to fix the problem with multitouch rotate not working on EC09.
You will need root and something like root explorer to edit this file:
/system/etc/permissions/android.hardware.touchscreen.multitouch.distinct
what we need the file to say is this:
Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<!-- Copyright (C) 2009 The Android Open Source Project
Licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0 (the "License");
you may not use this file except in compliance with the License.

distributed under the License is distributed on an "AS IS" BASIS,
WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF ANY KIND, either express or implied.
See the License for the specific language governing permissions and
limitations under the License.
-->
<!-- This is the standard set of features for a touchscreen that supports
independently-trackable multiple-finger multitouch. -->
<permissions>
<feature name="android.hardware.touchscreen" />
<feature name="android.hardware.touchscreen.multitouch" />
[b]<feature name="android.hardware.touchscreen.multitouch.distinct" />[/b]
</permissions>
The important part here is adding the last line
Code:
<feature name="android.hardware.touchscreen.multitouch.distinct" />
Save the file, reboot and presto, working multitouch rotate gestures.
Hope this works for people that are early adopters.

My Recommendation: Flash if you really want to, but I would recommend a custom ROM like TechnoROM (or for Froyo - ComRom)
NAMELESS v4 thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1131845
TechnoROM v1 test thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1134883
Update: Added Quadrant & Linpack screenshots. Nothing too impressive. Obviously, we are still on the old bml partitioning with rfs .
Happy Flashing,
JP Tech
1st, Please do post results. If this build is anything then it could help jt, adryn, sbm, and others. Hope that any watermarking was removed though.

I will test as soon as I can download it. My internet isn't that fast, so it is looking like another 32 minutes on the download. I will post in the OP my results. If anyone else flashes, report back, and I can include it in the OP. It has stormed here, but I think it is over.. hope the power doesn't go out .
Happy Flashing,
JP Tech
Awesome! Thanks so much. I'm downloading it now too, but the mirrors are all really slow. 30mbit connection, but downloading at 127 KB/ sec :<
Skeptical because of the EC09 build number (March 9, 2011) which puts it a full month ahead of our official FroYo build of ED01 (April 1, 2011), but it would be nice.
I know I'm an idiot for downloading this('cause I'm gonna download about 7 GB Roms this week...), but as I have a spare Fascinate, I feel like it's my duty to take one for the team!
Edit: Here goes nothin'

I have a 6 - 8Mbit Cable connection, and I am getting 105 kb/s (.84Mbit). It is just slow. I may post up my own mirror of it later.
My connection is 100Mbps down 70Mbps up.. I'll post a mirror when I'm done. It's taking very long for me to get the original file :\
I have the file... uploading a mirror now will make a new post with it
Thanks for a mirror. If you want me to, I can post it in the OP. It is horribly slow to download.
Now, I am flashing.. The moment of truth!
EDIT: Flashed.. It is booting!
Finally downloaded. Scared to Odin though. Dont want to brick before work here soon.
Personal experience so far, works fine, had a hitch with Odin freezing the first time, but just rebooted and reOdined. Runs smooth no immediate issues, and the instructions in his thread for rooting work (but his instructions have typos so be aware not to copy them as is). Already debloated myself and right now running Titanium Backup and so far so good, though would be better with voodoo ^^.
Update: Titanium backup worked, completely back to my own set up and yes Netflix does work, quite wonderfully. The visual effects of Gingerbread aren't in it, no light up bouncing and no fancy shut off/shut on, but other components such as download manager and certain settings options are all there.
I'm in! Will post impressions shortly
I'm running on this right now, i wanted to see what this was all about before i flashed our awesome dev version. But this leak is okay, it is not real buggy. Nothing great to me but its a leak, what do you expect yakno?

I'm pretty sure it was at some point. I'm still back on 1.3 and my GPS takes almost no time to lock on. My gf's D3 takes FOREVER.
