[Q] Atrix 4G Slow Sync Speed With my Dropbox! - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just got my Atrix and also bought Titanium Media Sync. I was trying to synchronize my Titanium Backup data to Dropbox However, the Atrix upload sync speed is extremely slow at 165kB/s to 250kB/s over WiFi connection. May I know what's causing the problem? I'm not even at HSUPA or 3G/4G network.

Go to the settings in Titanium Media Sync and enable the LEGACY sync option at the bottom.
Should solve that problem.

[Q] problem with HSPA connection for web browsing on hero

I have a strange problem with web browsing on an HTC Hero connecting to the Rogers network in Canada.
When the data connection is not active, the icon on my Hero shows "3G". When it is used, it turns to "H".
When email or other programs access data, it switches immediately and I have no connection problem.
However, when web browsing, the connection frequently (but not always) times out, and the 3G symbol remains. I can always get it to work by switching to email and initiating a sync, which is annoying to do.
Has anyone experienced this? Is there a reason that the browser would have trouble with the connection, but other applications wouldn't?

[Q] HD2 losing ActiveSync data randomly when starting ActiveSync?

Since installing the latest HTC ROM for the phone a few weeks ago, I find that randomly when I connect to my laptop via bluetooth ActiveSync on the phone, it loses all the data relating to the sync - contacts, calendar, e-mails, tasks etc.
It retains the connection details as it always connects to the laptop, and it then syncs all the data back again, but I'm a tad lost as to why this is happening.
I am running the Touch Of Glass theme on the latest downloads, but not sure if this could be part of the issue?

[Q] Preventing data sync while abroad

Hi All,
I'm going on vacation in Europe and want to minimise data costs on my Orange UK Atrix, but I want to use the GPS. Previously I've found that if I turn off data completely for a week or so, GPS fix times are terrible. I assume that this is because Android periodically downloads GPS fix data.
Ideally I'd like to prevent all apps from connecting to the network unless I request it. Are there any settings on the phone to do this, or apps I can download? I know I could just turn off data most of the time, and turn it on periodically, but I assume that whenever I turn it on all my apps will start downloading data! If I can get access to WiFi then I'll use that, but I'm not sure if/when I'll be able to get on a WiFi connection.
Any tips?

GMail sync only with home wi-fi

Hi
I'm not sure if it's Android or Transformer prime thing.
My google data (gmail, gcal) syncs properly and immediate when i'm @home with my wifi network, but refuses to automatically sync at the office wi-fi network.
The office network is freely available to the device, i can browse the net without any problems.
Can figure it out why the sync doesn't work.
I have noticed the same issue on mine except my home network sometimes has the issue too. I have resolve it by disabling the sync and then enabling it again. This method works for a little while then it seems to go into the no new notification mode. I have to manually refresh in gmail to get my new mail to show up. It is annoying. I even send test emails to both my phone and tablet, but it will not ccome through until it feels like it or unless I manually update. My xoom does not do that.
I have a sort of similar thing. All I know is that I'll be delivering pizzas while tethered. As soon as I get home, and turn off the tethering, my tablet connects to the home WiFi and gets one or more notification noises as it if wasn't syncing the same way when tethered. The oddity is that it doesn't know I'm on a mobile connection so it isn't trying to save bandwidth. I suspect there is something in the security or ports that makes it's connections to the home network different than when tethering, or when you are at work.
I can't speak to the issue regarding tethering, but for those of you having issues at the office, this is most likely due to firewall rules. I work for a cybersecurity software company, and have been fighting for them to address this as both my phone and prime suffer from the same thing.
If you have a good relationship with your IT/Corporate security people, try bringing it up with them.

[Q] Does Wi-Fi Sync apps work on a P2P basis

One quick question
Does Wi-Fi Sync apps like WiFi explorer, AirDroid sync like a P2P(Wi-Fi Direct) or does it actually transfer data through the internet???
Solution
Apparently the Wi Fi Sync works on a P2P basic and doesnt use the bandwidth..
Problem solved..
