I need to restore my HD2 back to stock. First I was trying to remove HSPL as per the following procedure
4) Uninstallation
Only way to remove the HSPL is to flash an original SPL from SD card.
- Take any "RUU_signed.nbh" from a ship ROM and copy it to SD card.
- Rename it to "leoimg.nbh"
- Reset the device while pressing the volume down button.

I downloaded a stock rom and done the above and now I have the SPL screen as follows
SPL-1.42.000 XE
MicroP(LED) 0x05
MicroP(Touch) 0x30
Upgrade ROM code error
Please try again
If I then try and put a stock ROM back on I manage 1% and then the phone restarts. I get the following error on the windows application.
ERROR [294]: IVALID VENDER ID
I have tried both a HTC stock rom and an O2 stock ROM and both give the error.
Any ideas?

HSPL and stock ROM 3.14 (spl 3.03) isn't compatible sir.
I suppose you will flash a custom ROM!?
- First of all be sure the custom ROM have/use 3.14 stock ROM drivers.
- secondly use SSPL_RUU.exe

I downloaded the latest ROM from T-Mobile US's support site and it flashed properly. Then used HSPL3 to go back.
My HD2 was installed with HSPL and Android 2.2 NAND. I tried to flash stock 2.10.1 to restore it to default. Placed the LEOIMG.nbh on the root of the SD and booted into bootloader, used VOL Down to run, and received a ROM Install Failure.
Now when I boot into bootloader I am at SPL-2.08.0000 and on the green section it reads "Upgrade ROM code error Please try again".
The phone will automatically go into a grey screen with "Loading..." from bootloader but it seems to just sit there and do nothing.
Do you guys know what I should do? Thanks.
did you get 2.10.1 from the 'tmobile stock and test roms' thread? If so, its not a 'real' stock rom. It is stock, but its packaged like a cooked rom.
Use the 2.10.0 instead, or use hspl4 to apply hspl then reflash 2.10.1 over usb, then remove hspl again with hspl4.
i cant flash my HD2 any ROMs or NAND or eaven run task29. Im stuck whit energy rom i downloaded a while a go. I use radio 2.15.50.14 and HSPL4 but i shows spl-2.08. When i try flash or use task29 to clean my phone nothing happens.. What should i need to do to make me able to run NAND .... Thanks!!!

Check again your HSPL by entering Bootloader Screen.
"SPL 2.08.0000" or "SPL 2.08.HSPL" ?
If you have SPL 2.08.0000, it is a stock SPL. You cannot do task 29.
In order to flash SPL 2.08.HSPL, you enter bootloader and plug your phone to PC using USB. When "serial" text (in your device) changes to "USB", run HSPL 4 from your PC, and choose "SPL 2.08.HSPL". If success, you can do task 29 and install MAGLDR if you want to flash Nand Android, or else you flash any custom rom.

Ok, so once magldr is installed, can you enter magldr by holding power at boot?
YES, I CAN. AND I try to COPY THIS FILES initrd.gz AND zImage to sd card, after i enter in usb massStg,and some times it works,some not.if i copy the files,i must do a reset,but it doesn't work,and and when i press the reset button near battery,i recive a error 1fatal hit 1,and here i don't know what to do. sorry again for grammar mistakes
That's old cwm,it runs from the nand in later versions.
Go get "nand toolkit" in android dev thread, put phone in magldr, choose "USB flashing" and in nand toolkit choose partition size...... well, read the toolkit instructions, first posts.
Then once cwm is installed, enter magldr and choose 8-ad recovery,,,if 8isnt that option, update magldr thru the toolkit.
I can't find where to download nand toolkit, now is late,i will tomorow search better,but today I didn't find nothing on it
i found the hd2 toolkit,but i don't know what "Choose the partition size you want to install and choose cache size you want to install." what values should i choose ?
Pick a rom, ,, in post 1 it will tell you what to choose. Example, typhoon (and most cm7 roms) will use a 150 system partition, whilst sense roms need 200plus,, for cache, 5 seems to be common, tho some use bigger, its less important than the system size. Tho.
and also i can't install device driver softwoare,before installing the cLK insall recovery. my computer can't find the driver for the phone at this step. what should i do??
