I seem to be seeing some lag that I didn't notice before I installed SC 2.9.1. I've been running EB01 voodoo. When I go to the voodoo screen in CWM it says lag fix is actually disabled, enable next boot. The computer voice never says enabling, so is it actually enabled or not? How do I tell for sure?
Run Quadrant, if you score 800-1100 its not enabled 1400 or higher it is enabled.
1453 so I guess it is. Thanks. I always get my questions answered on this forum. Thanks guys for all the help.

cwm is one thing that is broken in the red cwm
you can also open up terminal emulator
type
su
cat /proc/version
you will see the date for EB16 or EC10

Since upgrading to the EB01 Froyo leak (debinged/deodexed) I have wifi issues where every 3 or 4 times I attempt to enable it, it will fail, and show "Error" under the Wi-Fi settings (where it ususally says in blue text "Turn on Wi-Fi", "Connecting..." "Connected to <network>", etc). I finally got the log message associated with it, and was wondering if anyone has figured out a way to address this?
From what I gather insmod is the kernel's mechanism for (in this case) loading the wifi driver, so this would be an issue with the kernel? So now what?
E/WifiHW ( 2467): return of insmod (args:firmware_path=/system/etc/wifi/bcm4329_sta.bin nvram_path=/system/etc/wifi/nvram_net.txt dhd_watchdog_ms=10 dhd_poll=1) : ret = -1, Invalid argument
At first I thought a reboot was necessary to get it to attempt to reload the driver, but I've since found clearing level 2 ram in the task manager does the trick. Still a big PIA though.
Thanks for any help.

I had the same problem until I flashed the EC10 kernel, hasn't happened since.

So, if I'm not mistaken I can just install the non-voodoo zip w/ Red CWM directly over EB01 with no wiping/cache clearing, etc, and be up and running with no data or configuration loss? Sounds like a pretty quick and easy way to fix my issue.
I haven't been following the EC10 thread, but I just took a look and looks like the static issue when the screen comes on during a call is fixed as well, the only other issue I've had.
Guess I may have to give it a shot! How long have you been using it?
KF
I've been using it for a couple days and have to say that it combined with SuperClean 2.9 has made my phone super smooth. I haven't found a single glitch so far.
Took the plunge and updated to EC10 last night. I've had only a brief time to play around with it, but so far so good with the wifi. Thanks for the help!
Could just be my mind playing tricks on me, but I could swear in general everything is more responsive as well... Not only loading apps, but when I brought up navigation this morning I've never once seen it lock on and start driving directions this fast.
Nevermind... Same problem still with EC10. Got my hopes up there for a minute.
I got the same problem with SC 2.9.2v and had with any other SC Froyo build. I'm using JuiceDefender so WiFi is turned on/off lot of times (every 15 minutes on schedule or when screen is unlocked). Usually once or twice a day I find that there is an error with WiFi and the only way to fix it is to wait couple of minutes and try turning it on manually or switch to airplane mode on/off.
I also use JuiceDefender w/ Wifi. If it doesn't occur less often with EC10 (too soon to tell still), I'll have to disable the wifi controls in JD so it's toggled on/off far less frequently.
Glad to see I'm not the only one seeing it. I bet the JD users will just notice it more since we are loading the wifi driver all the time.

And thanks for the airplane mode tip- I'll have to try that. I was clearing level 2 ram in task manager to do it. AM would be slightly more convenient.
jt1134's source build EC10 didn't help, still having same problem with WiFi. My log is showing the same thing.
At least the new kernel fixed the static issue. One thing at a time, right? I hope that this means there will be ED01 kernel drop
Actually, maybe April Fool's day is a bad choice...
What radio are you using? EB01?
Yes, I did the full Froyo update to EB01 over the stock 2.1 Verizon eclair, then installed the EC10 specifically for this issue. That's all I've done. Oh, went back into CWM after seeing the problem for a few days to clear the Dalvik cache. That's all I've done to date...
OK so it's not radio related but kernel/rom then. I'm on EA28 radio cause I had problems with missed calls with EB01.
Solutions? Bump?
Sorry for reviving this thread, but I have what I think is the same problem (on EB01).
My wifi always works after a reboot, but then if I turn it off and try and turn it back on, it gives me an error message until I either
A) reboot the phone
or
B) repeatedly turn it on and off again (usually takes 3 or 4 times to work again)
Anyone else having this specific problem or know how to fix it?

I was able to get rid if the problem by using Auto Killer Memory Optimizer. It turned out to be a memory issue. Use one of the preset profiles, like aggressive, and see how you do. I was having the problem several times a day and it never came back.
Or, upgrade to PWGB, which takes care if the problem too and doesn't require messing with memory mgmt settings...
What causes this, and any fix?
Anyone know.

It simply means that Quadrant can't access the internet, which is required for it to finish it's task.

My wifi is connected though, so I'm not sure why it's not working.
i am getting the same error. during the full test, does it calculate your cpu performance? it shows 0/12 and skip to the next test. after reinstalling it work for the first one with a whopping 1546...
Just had this happen right now...first time its happened. check your connection settings and/or force close quadrant and try again. Got 1864 on the stock cyanogen kernel that came with vegantab rc1.
Yep, I have the same problem with quadrant.
Mine won't even run at all it just blinks after I press Run Full Benchmark. I've cleared the cache, fixed permissions, un- & re-installed, still a no go. Are there other free similar Quadrant alternatives? I've run AnTutu Benchmark with no problems & get a score of 4787, but I assume it's a whole different thing compared to Quadrant.
My gps won't lock at all and I need it for the Google maps. I'm usually a half mile to a mile away from things on foursquare that are right there. All I get is a circle flashing looking for a signal.
I have tried programs from the market, MTDs kernels (Jt's) , glitch kernels, i have tried the manual entry with the lbsmode and can't even get into that mode, and i have tried to download some other things and flash with venue. No luck at all.
Anyone know of anything? I have searched everything! Literally everything.
Currently running Jt's VGB7, Glitch V12 beta kernel overclocked at 1500mhz stable.

Have you tried this? Its for the old ec01 modem but ever since I did this and ran GPS aids from the market it works great no matter what rom i'm on...its takes a few minutes to get lock the very first time, and GPS aids failed in the last setup stage so I have to use the forced mode but like I said ever since I used this I get GPS lock in seconds..hope it helps?!

I've set my main to 800/200 conservative. Occasionally I go back into the application and see that it has changed to 1200/200 on its own.
I check time in each state and 1200 is showing up on the chart, so I know its not false or a glitch. Why is this happening?
I've updated my kernels, I've switched to Entropys from Siyahs and its still happening, I'm not too sure if its the kernels fault though, any ideas?

Do you have an alternate profile set somewhere?
Also, unless you reset cpuspy counters after boot, there will be some 1200 MHz time, since SetCPU doesn't reset the limit until after boot.
You probably have, but I have to ask just to make sure...are you sure you checked the "set at boot" option?

I have 2 profiles set, but theyre 500/200 for when the screen is off an for when im under 50% battery. Phone is still using 1200mhz though, even though its set to never do that.

It is, thanks
Well guys i installed SETCPU right after rooting, set the limit cpu frequency values according to my choice (UC) but to mu surprise it still peaks at 1.4ghz. I'd set the valut to 200min 1000max with pegasis governor but it doesn;t work. It never happened on any previous device i rooted. Already tried rebooting, nothing happens. So what can be the cause? I guess CF Auto Root just installed the root binaries bit not the busybox. Can it be the problem?
Does your kernel support OC?
Well bro i don't want to overclock and it's stock, so i guess it doesn't support overclocking. Besides, i want to underclock it(UC). But it doesn;t work even my profiles like battery less than, charging etc doesn't work either. Setcpu shows the limit defined values but cpu keeps running at 1.4 ghz
flash a custom kernel
Thanks for the suggestion but i just wanna keep it stock to avoid any problems whatsoever. It's just that setcpu always worked even on stock kernnels. Already tried on S2 and my ace, it worked great.
