Baseband version: DL09
Build number: EB01
running SC 2.9 voodoo
Everything runs well, except battery life is terrible even after turning off maps?
Do I have the latest?

some do better with with dj05/dl09 radios on froyo; others with ebo1 radio

I've been running each version of SuperClean (currently 2.7) since it was released by adrynalyne. In my limited understanding, I believe that changing a rom does not change the radio being used. My radio (baseband version) is currently listed as being DL09 (see attached). Is there a way of updating the radio and is there an advantage of doing so? If so, does anyone know where I can find the best/latest radio for the Fascinate that will work with SC? I think I read somewhere that one's choice of radio can affect GPS performance. My GPS is currently working really well. Does the radio affect battery life (currently not very good) or other things also?
You need eb16 or eb01 radio to use froyo, sc2.7. Sc2.7 is removed and 2.8 is out now. There is a all in one odin pack on andriodcentral that gives you root, cwr, and sc in one pack. 15 minutes and done.

Bob-o, not quite sure I understand this comment, since I'm running Froyo (SuperClean 2.7) just fine with my older DL09 radio. I guess I'd like to know if there's an advantage to updating the radio, or should I leave it as-is and just keep updating the rom?

The EB16 modem will not work with the VZW Fascinate. If you want to update the baseband, update to the EB01 baseband. You may get slightly better battery life, and reception will also probably change slightly, though probably not enough to really notice. To update, you need to find a tar with the modem.bin for EB01 (or whatever baseband you want) and flash it via Odin. See here for instructions on flashing.
I've heard from some users that the DL09 radio works better sometimes than the EB01 radio. Some have reported better battery life. I'm running the debloated deodexed stock EB01 with the DL09 radio and it works fine, although I'm not certain yet if there's any improvement or not.

Both DL09 and EB01 work fine with all versions of SC. There's really no reason not to flash, unless you're uncomfortable doing so (I assume this isn't the case, as you're running SC ). You might get slightly better signal or maybe better battery life. You also might get worse. You won't know until you try it.
If it doesn't work as good as DL09, no harm done, just flash it back.
I still show "kernal version 2.6.32.9," is this correct?
Also the "Voltage Control" app that came with my theme says I don't have a compatible kernel? Did I do something wrong? Everything seems to work fine but I'm worried I don't have the right kernel... Any help is appreciated.
Setup is as follows:
Firmware Version: UKB 2.0
Baseband Version: Si500.04 V.EBO1
Kernel Version: 2.6.32.9
Build Number: SCH-I500.EDO1
Voltage control is not compatible with PBJ
Download the OTB version of UKB and you will be all set!

You have the right kernel but as the above member stated, if you want Voltage Control get OTB version. In addition, you can change the any kernel that you like to have in your phone.

Not to be a jerk but what does that sentence mean. I mean I know I can change kernels but are you saying I can rename them to whatever I want or something else?
I am planning on calling Verizon to get a Droid Charge as a replacement. I have CM7 installed do not wish to do a factory restore to stock. (I need my phone to be useable till I get the Charge) Could someone with stock please give me a screen shot or list stats for the About Phone screen? It would be most helpful to my self and maybe others.

If there is any other info I would need please list.
Stock is ed04 froyo. Unless you want to get charged for the charge you need to figure out which of the various methods to use to get back stock before you sent the phone back. Hint all the info you need is stickied.
good day. using xda premium.
I have no problems going back to stock using oden. As you know the whole process will take less then 5 minuets. I just don't want to do it till I actually have the charge in hand to make the switch.
Are you saying the About Phone Info is stickied because I can't find it? I have done a Google Search and a Forum Search.

I'm looking for the best kernel and radio in terms of battery life for 7.1.1 cm7. What are youguys using?
When I was using CM7, I had the latest radio: 1.48.00.0906W_1, 0.01.78.0906w_2 and jdkoreclipse's kernel (he makes awesome kernels btw) and was gettings pretty great battery life for AOSP.
As stated in the title, are these the best that are on offer for my phone? only problem i get atm are a few apps crash every now and then. Also I've done a nandroid backup and kept titanium backup, if there are better fw/modem updates, has the phone got to be reset to factory settings?
Thanks

also my battery life its worse than what i thought it would be using this fw, but then i watch a lot of videos on it. I've also performed battery collab a few times now, get about 9hrs life when watch good 1.5 hrs video, is this good?

you can change the modem if you want. i am currently using KL1 modem or LP1. Signal strength is great and not so bad either on the battery. everyone raves about this modem anyway. Regarding the kernel that you are using if it is giving you great battery life and stability that is great to. Now i am using siyah latest version and also the latest version of cwm manager apk which is version 3.0 and clockwordmod recovery which is 5.0.27. i think you are on 4.0 something if i am not mistaken.
what i am trying to say here as long as you are getting stability and good battery life no need to update or flash and just wait for when ICS villainrom is out. if you are a flash junkie then siyah kernel is a good start or speedmod kernel if you do not like to tweak around with voltages
What is C F W ???

thanks for the reply mate, i will have a look at updating the modem you suggested, being an Android virgin i dont like to mess around too much as i don't want to completely screw up my phone! like you said its working fine apart from the odd app crashing, might be best to just wait for villainrom ics.
