Hello,
Just reading through some android news and came across this. Android Injector. It will appearantly let you install apps directly to phone w/ out having to use command line or adb. Seems like a pretty easy way to get gingerbreak on to your phone. I havent used it because im at work, if somebody wants to give it a go, let us know =).

Main question is if the atrix even has a native japanese keyboard I can install? I've seen some zips for japanese keyboards for other phones like the htc diamond and some other samsung phone, but I'm not sure if they would work on an atrix.
And also, I've got my phone rooted via gingerbreak with the gingerblur 3.1 rom along with the hulu, webtop, and mirroring hacks. If I ever wanted to go back to the stock rom from att how would I go about doing that? And if its alright to remove the battery?
This is my first phone android phone (previously iphone 3g jailbroken) and I've had is less that half a day, so I'm still rather new to all this.
japanese: you can download many japanese input methods from the market. i like "Simeji". it has romaji input or short-key dragging input.
stock: you have to flash your phone back to a stock SBF. search the general forum to find links and instructions.
yes, it is perfectly fine to remove the battery whenever you please.
Are there any that are native to install?
Thanks for all the info! It really helps
bring a "native"app really doesn't make any difference, they all install and function the same.

Im new to atrix, and android. I want to make some customization's but im unsure how to go about doing so, and really where to start.
Though i like the htc unlock screen, can i customize it to that?
My atrix is also rooted.
Cheers.
Yep, just use WidgetLocker: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.widgetlocker&hl=en
(Don't know any free alternatives but WidgetLocker is well worth the $2, offers a bunch of lockscreen customiztion)
Try widgetlocker dude!

Sorry to be a jerk but Wrong thread. There is an Atrix Q n A section. Also do try using the search function. It is a long process of sifting thru the stuff but its worth it.
Here's a hint. Check " Post your screenshot " posts and you will find alot of Atrix with cool UI. Get some ideas there.
Goodluck!

The motorola Atrix has support for the messaging app direct from motorola, the only thing i'm really looking for with it is the universal inbox support. Is there any way of removing the .apk from the base OS? CM7 Runs fantastic in pre-beta #3, but i want to be able to go to all my messages by one press like i can do now. It wasn't only the universal inbox, but the fact that all messaging was grouped under one button.
AWesome, my thread got moved for no reason, This is not a question, its a dev request to pull the app from the stock atrix rom so we can add it to CM7.
The problem is, that it's a Motorola App. CM7 is for those who don't want any Blur or other Skin over their phone. If you really want it that badly, flash a different ROM
Hey Guys, Im trying to install XFCE4 on Webtop, everythings downloaded and installed, its just a matter of turning it on. I went into start-oshwt-2 and added the lines im supposed to, and put a hash in front of awn-autostart and webtop-wallpaper. Now, when its all booting and everything, it looks like its going well, then it goes blank, and Android returns to the phone screen (but without touch controls, they dont come back until I unplug the hdmi cord.) Whats going on here, how can I make this work? Thanks
I havent tried yet,but a good "how-to" would be appreciated as I would also like to install XFCE4.
Im going to say a fallacy:
Even though you are right posting your question here, your answer is already posted on the Development forum.
Sorry for not providing the url but if you search there, you'll find it.

how about this question then:
Can you install the base ubuntu/kubuntu/xubuntu-desktop packages and have them work?
If so,what startup items should be listed in that startup script?
Alright, hey guys, this is for anyone looking for an answer to this question. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1420376
