Anyone else having this problem? I was rooted on 4.1.26 (<i think that was it). and updated and rooted on the newest 4.1.57 using a guide here. Well I tried to send a friend a picture and it keeps coming up with an error. I also heard the tethering workaround using a custom apn wont work anymore either (havent tried myself). but I just wanna know if im the only one experiencing this or not, and if im not alone is there anyone with a solution? I am new to this forum and to android (changed from iphone).

Hello, been looking around and this is getting confusing now lol.
My DELL:
Android 2.2
Baseband: GAUSB1A131921-EU
Kernel: 2.6.32.9-perf
Build:12792
So as i've said i've been looking around. Still not sure exactly what i have to do, i have the PDF telling me what to get and i have the steakdroid mod etc but unsure wether i should attempt to flash it.
I've noticed a lot about the baseband. What will happen if i change this? How do i go about it and what is the right one for the UK as I mostly see AT&T and US users talking about their streaks here.
Ok so that question over my next one is about the build number. Do these matter much with the newer ROMs or can i just go ahead with whatever is posted now?
Sorry if this seems stupid but the information is sporadic and unclear to me and this is my first time with Android.

Aight so, i semi-bricked it at first, got the dell logo with flashing LEDs. didn't panic
managed to get clockwork on it and installed Streakdroid which is working awesomely.
One question and one problem. Should i upgrade the baseband? What would the advatages be?
The problem is the email client (the one ported from the galaxy tab) keeps crashing. Any way to fix this?

EDIT: Happenes when i try to make any changes, update it or use it in any way. Also when it tries to refresh itself. Can't uninstall it either. grrr.
as stated in the title, i think im having bluetooth issues, it's like my razr is choosing from which devices it can only accept files from. for example, it can recieve files from my gf's phone and macbook pro, but it cannot receive files from my friend's xperia play, galaxi mini, it can receive files from my friends imac but not my imac. how can i fix this? im having this when my phone is unrooted but now that im rooted and flash 2.3.6, the problem is still their. please help me with this one. thanks alot hope we can fix this.
I think theres a bluetooth bug in that build, check out the page with the build info on it i remeber seeing that was a known issue for .173 2.3.6
I have a galaxy s3 from sprint which I rooted many months ago and is currently running android 4.04, It is constantly asking me to update however every time I do it always fails. I've looked around the forums and from what I learned I believe that the only way to update is to unroot and update or to install a rom with jelly bean. I experimented with a few roms including CM10, AOKP and liquid smooth but all of these had problems with sending text messages where long messages would not send or even short messages were split into multiple messages. So unless anyone knows a fix to this I prefer to stick to the stock rom for now at least.
That being said I would like to update my phone to jelly bean. Does anyone know a way for me to do this? If unrooting is the only way does anyone know how I can unroot my phone? All of the post I've ran into are either old(don't trust really old post as methods tend to change as time pases) or don't give enough information aside from "install original firmware". If anyone could help that would be greatly appreciated. I have a mac computer so any methods that could be used with a mac would make things easier. Otherwise I could always run windows with bootcamp so not a big problem.
If it helps I rooted my phone using Odin and currently have CWM, its a sprint galaxy s3 running 4.04
so what section do questions go to?

Hey everyone - Anyone know of a custom ROM for the ZTE Z998 (Mustang)? I'm sure people are working on them because it is a fairly new phone. My issue is the ATT APN can not be deleted or turned off and MMS doesn't work. I need to delete it. I tried APN Backup/Restore as a system app but that doesn't work. This device runs 4.2.1. Thanks!

Hi xda
I am new to this site, so sorry in advance if this thread is posted in the wrong section of the forum. Please let me know if Im doing something incorrect.
Anyways, my problem is, that I have two SGS3's both flashed to cm-13.0-20160217-NIGHTLY-i9300 (older versions have been tried out as well), where one of them can't make or recieve calls. Everything else works on it - send and recieve texts, mobile data etc. (the IMEI and serial number are both original and intact). Both the phones were originally running the Android Jellybean 4.3 Nordic version (I9300XXUGND5_NEEGND1_Nordic_4.3), and both were flashed using twrp 3.0.0.1 (and running GAPPS 6.0 pico).
I find it strange, that the phone is able to make and recieve texts and access the mobile network, while not being able to make or recieve calls. Anyone got any idea as to why this is a problem?
It should be noted, that the phone has no trouble at all when running the stock Android 4.3 or CrDroid Android 5.1.1.
The two phones are completely identical, and only one of them has trouble with calls on cm-13.0-20160217-NIGHTLY-i9300 (and any other version of cm for that matter).
Hope somebody knows what the problem is.
