I have rooted my phone using this method:
http://briefmobile.com/motorola-atrix-4g-root
At first worked flawless, but for some reason, it's not working anymore.
I did nothing to the phone and the root access seens to be gone.
Question: Can I root it again using this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15872818 or I need to 'unroot' ?
The stock ROM version was 4.1.83 updated to 4.5.91 using Motorola Update downloaded from the site (OTA didn't worked).
Thank you
EDIT:
Tried to clear the data, but didn't worked.
I downloaded and installed the new update and now my wireless tether is not working. Did it indoor my phone? Thanks
Yes, it will unroot your razr. It did it to mine, but I installed voodoo before I updated so I could easily restore my root.
I loe this forum. I searched and found all kinds of threads with bits and pieces of the information I am looking for but here goes my question(s)...
I am on Android Version 2.3.6, Baseband Version I717UCLA1, Kernal Version 2.6.35.11 Build Number GINGERBREAD.UCLA1 and from what I believe I have done is I rooted my Note and stayed on the stock rom. I want to update to ICS and am curious regarding the best/easiest method?
1) Un-root, update to ICS via Kies, then root again?
2) Is there a way to just update to ICS without the process in number 1?
I am not really looking to flash roms. I am fine with the stock rom. I just need/want root for tethering.
Thank you for your help.
You're going to lose root when you update but it's just as easy to root ICS as it is GB.
Kies may also refuse to update unless you do so while the phone is in download mode.
I preferred flashing the ICS update via Odin. Smooth and painless.

Thank you for the reply. I am aware I will lose root when I update. I guess I can/will do a backup in CMR and TiBackup? When I update, then root, then get superuser, I should be able to log into and run Tibackup Pro to load my app data? I don't know...the process seems daunting as there is no direct threads detailing how to complete and update from the situation I am in.

Rooted Today
Rooted today and in ICS on my G note, I do not see the tethering apk. Only tethering provisions. I froze tethering provisions in Ti. Went to setting, more, tehtering and portable hotspot and every time I try to turn on Protable Wi-Fi hotspot I get a crash....black screen and an eventual msg that says unfortunately, setting has stopped. What can I do to get this working?
Thanks
I am trying to upgrade my SGH-T959D from telus to gingerbread from froyo. I am currently running froyo because I accidentally messed up when trying to install an ICS Rom. And I was finally able to unbrick it by flashing the stock Rom. But when I connect it to Samsung kies, it says "your phone connect be upgraded via kies". If anyone could just upload the Rom, I'd probably be able to use Odin to flash it. Or if anyone has a fix for kies it would be much appreciated.

[Q] Is there root process for I337UCUFNJ5?
Hello,
Recently there was a firmware OTA sent out from ATT for the Galaxy S4 SGH-I337.
Prior to this I rooted the phone using towelroot.
Of course after the update I lost my root and now I want to root it again!
Will I have to reflash an older firmware (NJ4) or does anyone know of a process to root this current firmware NJ5?
I took the update also. Lost root. I then used Odin to flash the I337_NC1_Stock_Kernel. Have Towel root v3 on phone before flashing since I lost wifi and data after the flash. Run towelroot and its rooted. Then odin I337_NJ4_Stock_Kernel on. Its rooted. Use Titanium to stop update of NJ5. Until someone figures out how....
