Post some of your coolest wallpapers in size 480x400 for SG3 !!!
Perhaps search at Appbrain.com they have a great Wallpaper Gallery . The url is appbrain.com/wallpaper .
http://numaga.com/media/gallery/global/300-amazing-full-hd-nature-wallpapers-part-1-6
That's where I choose my wallpapers from (torrented them all in one full package, though)
Imo, it doesn't need to be 480x400; you can always choose the best part of it if It's bigger. And you can always resize them to 480x400 if you must
Currently my desktop looks like this:
hint: To see more photos in that website, just replace part-1-6 with part-2-6 in the url.
Here is a collection of wallpapers I have, resized to fit the Motorola Atrix. Have fun.

Another one here. lol
Noob question inc. I want to make a few wallpapers for the community, can you tell me what resolution I should build them in? I see the images here are 640x569, but the aspect ratio on that doesn't sound right...
Related question, I got the idea from another post somewhere else, that one wallpaper could span all 7 home screens if made 1080x960. Is this true? I will test it, but thought someone else might already know.
You are correct sir. 1080x960 is the size. Thanks for telling me it resized the thumbnails. I will make a zip file and attach it to the first post when back at my main PC which includes the original files.

Hi guys,
I guess everyone is having problem, setting their favourite wallpapers on honeycomb. Because whenever we try to set wallpaper, it asks for cropping and after applying cropped wallpaper becomes blurred [like it zommed in the wallpaper]......
some people said to use wallpaper wizardrii app but honestly it didnt help me at all....it still crops the picture and sometimes make it blurred.
so my solution to set desired wallpaper without cropping is very very simple but as i said this is just an alternative not the perfect solution.
just download live wallpaper called ''WATERIZE LIVE WALLPAPER '' , install it and then open it. By default it will have stones background. Go to settings and choose custom background of yourchoice. Apply it. Thats it. Now you have wallpaper of your choice without cropping. Its so easy and plus it adds the effect of water ripples on your wallpaper which looks so cool. Try out.
this is my alternative way to set background without cropping but little sacrifice is its live wallpaper but i would really love to use this until google solve this issue on honeycomb.
i have provided the link for download.
if anyone likes this then please comment
And i see, you must use the full version to get the option custom image.
Use Wallpaper Wizardii from the market
'Wallpaper for Tablets' in the market solves the problem as well.
Also, 'MultiPicture Live Wallpaper'
Both are free, and allow you to perfect you wallpaper on the tab.
+1 for multi live wallpaper
+1 Wallpaper for Tablet. Works great. No more crop

How do you use this program? When I install it, I can't open it. I've tried to reboot also.

it works great thanks for sharing
What is the exact wallpaper size if using wallpaper for tablet? 1280 x 800 ?
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using xda premium
The problem is that using these programs you apply a live wallpaper like a static wallepaper ...... and that this decreases the speed of toucwiz.
I think 1920x1408 resolution is best for our honeycomb tablets. But this multi live wallpaper software make the images fit to screen so u dont need to worry. Otherwise for perfect size try the above resolution....i will upload some wallpaper collection when i m free.

thanks to refer me this amazing software. I installed it long ago but at that time i was new to honeycomb so didnt notice the setting menu of multi live wallpaper but now i installed again and looked into the setttings and when i applied. ...i found that this software is ****in awesome. I love the way it has difffernt wallpaers on each screen and specially the screen transition effect is glorious.
One question though, being a live wallpaper and changing wallpaper on time intervals itself, do u think it will consume more ram and subsequently battery?
I wish it just use battery like a static wallpaper.
Another app that I used previously (although it was on my phone and not on my tablet) was "Wallpaper Set and Save".
Wallpaperwizadrrii and multipicture all compress the picture and degrade the quality.
I have yet to see a solution that maintains quality AND doesnt crop.

That's incorrect.
As I said in another thread, when using a stock Honeycomb ROM and/or ADW the standard rules of Android wallpaper sizing apply.
You take the screen resolution in portrait and double the width and that's the size the wallpaper should be to fit perfectly. Obviously you can scale up or down from there if you really want to but the ratio will stay the same.
There is a question-mark as to whether TouchWiz changes the way wallpapers are selected/size but since I really don't like TouchWiz, I haven't investigated.
Free!! Multi-live wallpaper..try it!!!
The BEST solution and a little more OPTIONS is MULTI-LIVE WALLPAPER..It looks Semi-Challenging to use but it really isn't..It allows you to set each screen with a specific wallpaper or you can have it cycle to different ones throughout your wallpaper folder..I have it set so that it cycles thru as I change Home screens..Don't let the Name fool you..It is IMO the BEST ONE OUT..Try it and see for yourself..You can also set it to FILL your SCREEN!!!Also the screen TRANSITIONS are AWESOME..And its 100% FREE!!!!

The firmware allows you to change the lockscreen wallpaper, Settings > Screen > Screen display.
You just need to size it up in the manner I laid out in the thread I linked-to.

Unfortunately the first is utter rubbish and does not work!
I made some Note wallpapers and just thought I'd share with everyone. These images are not my works,I altered images I found on the great and powerful Google.I use Wallpaper Wizardrii to set them so they don't have to be cropped or anything fancy.Enjoy
*edit* fixed the one wallpaper
Nice but the first wp has a tiny line on the left side. Might wanna fix that.
-Once you go NOTE, you'd say 4 inches a Joke
[Lady]: "How do you carry that huge phone in your pocket?"
[Note User]: "I'm used to having huge stuff in my pants"
Thanks. Make some more with blue and white, and an android, would be cool!

I'm not trying to rain on your day but just wanted to offer some ideas about making things fit on your Note proper. While Wallpaper Wizardii works, it doesn't work optimally (all the time) and tends to stretch and pull pixels causing the wallpaper to look distorted and funky IMHO. That said. The proper resolution for the Note should be
-1600x1280 for scrollable wallpapers
-800x1280 for fixed wallpapers
my advice is to use GIMP or Photoshop to adjust your wallpapers for proper fit. I also advise NEVER to use a wallpaper that is smaller than 800x1280 because blowing a wallpaper up just looks horrid.
Always find something that is larger than your target size....so bigger than 1600x1280 or bigger than 800x1280.
step by step
1. Save the wallpaper you want to resize to your computer
2. Open GIMP and create a new file (800x1280 or 1600x1280)
3. Open the wallpaper you want to resize
4. Adjust the size of the wallpaper that needs to be resized (most of the time you will not get a perfect size for example you may have a 2000x2000 pic you must resize to 1600x1600 otherwise it will be funked up, don't try resizing to Note dimensions).
5. Once it's resized COPY it and go to your new file and paste as new layer.
6. Use the alignment tool to align vertical and horizontal
7. You're done unless you want to add text or something else.
8. Save as a .jpg and send it to yourself, or save in dropbox or whatever.
Anyway, that's just a short bit of advice.....again, not trying to be a **** just giving advice as I have been doing walls for awhile now.
Good luck! :good:

Oh no problem at all bro , I started using wizardii because the default wallpaper chooser on the note always wants to crop pics(even original note wallpapers)when you choose them.I appreciate the info and maybe this weekend I'll have another go at it.I used to have GIMP,I will re-download it and try it as my tool(I was in ms paint doing those lol) because I don't have photoshop and honestly I tried photoshop once upon a time and it was extremely confusing for me to try to figure it out. Thanks for the help,I really appreciate it.
no problem.....I'm here to help. And Photoshop is not all hard, GIMP is not hard either, especially if all you're doing is a resize or fit. Making your own stuff gets into a higher learning curve.
anyone is free to hit me up if they have questions, always willing to help.....just don't get mad if I don't answer straight away....I do have a RL with a wife and 4 kids in it so I sometimes get doing other things. LOL
Would love to see a slimbean wallpaper with some blue in it.

Hey borijess, here's a slimbeam wall straight from the slimbean rom thread (it was in the first post) it has some blue and looks pretty sweet. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/6175502/SlimBeanWall.png
Here's a couple more blue/black themed I just found that come from zedge http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30360928&postcount=4295
Hi, I'm trying to create a multi-screen wallpaper setup like in this build (http://mycolorscreen.com/2014/07/29/iren/) but how does one shrink their desired wallpaper to fill just half the screen? I tried bitmap but the scaling makes it difficult and blurry.
Thank you in advance.

Hi you could add a widget with full width or simply use photoshop to integrate the gray layer to your image.

I was going to simply cover the bottom half the wallpaper with a RECT overlay but it seems like the previous theme and this other one (http://mycolorscreen.com/2014/08/23/sportlife/) have a found way to shrink the wallpaper without losing detail or focus. When I tried inserting the wallpaper into a widget, it came out blurry cause I have to stretch it in order to fill the entire widget by increasing the scale (increased scale = blurry). Unless there's another way aside from bitmap or photoshop, I guess this is it then.
I didnt mean to use the wallpaper in the widget. You should cover the bottom half with a widget and set the wallpaper as usual.

Yea, I did that but that leaves me losing the bottom half of the wallpaper. I thought the two themes I looked at had a way of 'shrinking' the wallpaper to fit in the top half without losing detail. The method you suggested (if I'm reading it correctly) is to cover the bottom half with my widget (RECT + icons) and then set the wallpaper to auto-fit the top half. But the wallpaper still fills the entire screen. Maybe I'm misunderstanding something.

Hi,
There are two main ways of doing this. First is to use Zooper, and add the images as a bitmap. However if you said this makes the images blurry, Photoshop (or any other image editor) should do the trick. Simply take a screenshot of your homescreen, open that in Photoshop, then drag the wallpaper on where you want it to go.
Hope this helps!
