I was running NitroVivid on EC01 without a problem. Don't know if they all work, but I also saw someone say they were running NitroDark.

hmm I'll back up first and try flashing the EB01 minimalist theme. thanks
Why not ask the author of the particular theme you want to flash?
I was running honeycomb no problem

Here it is folks, in its bloated, ugly, and nasty touchwiz self. Kernel is included in the package. Rooted and busybox, only.
How to install, coming from Eclair:
1. Boot phone to download mode, and flash modem via Odin. Use pda button.
http://www.mediafire.com/?1r7uk6gf8d6s76z
2. Boot to clockwork recovery, and wipe data/factory reset. Then install rom.

3. Before rebooting, also install the new clockwork package.

4. Boot up and enjoy...or hate. Your mileage may vary!

Guys, seriously thank this dude for posting it. We've had it and it is LEGIT. It works wonderfully and don't forget to grab Superclean for this as well. Voodoo is out too.

Is EB01 the froyo version coming out later this month? Or is this another build before the final version?
Awesome, can't wait to try this tomorrow!

It's supposedly official.
Im running it now - if you go to software update it says its disabled on engineering builds. That would lead me to think it will be recompiled again, even if for no good reason.
Does anyone know if DL30 Themes work on the new build?
So if I'm on DL30 the leak all I need to do is flash the EB01modem.tar and flash EB01 in recovery to run this?

I would think so Grimis...and I would do a full wipe just to play it safe...wipe the dalvik cache, etc.

How might i flash the EB01 radio with Heimdall? I have tried. I am currently running the DJ05 radio with DL30 superclean 1.0
It was my understanding that a froyo update to the SGS line brings the necessary bootloader modification that is needed for our phone and heimdall to work together. DL30 is froyo... ostensibly that means we have the modified bootloader.
When i try to flash the EB01 radio with heimdall, i hit start, and it says it cannot find a compatible device. Can anyone shed any light on this?
If I'm on dl30 can I just flash the modem? I love my current setup

Well I tried flashing imnuts new 100uv kernel and it gave me HUGE issues. It basically screwed up permissions and somehow screwed up my apps that were installed on the SD card. I tried a lot of different things to fix it and couldn't get it so I decided to restore one of my backups.
Well, I am not sure if that is working either. It has been stuck at the boot animation for quite some time now. Much longer than when flashing new ROM's, etc. Does restoring from a nandroid usually take much longer? Or is something wrong?
Did you have a theme applied? I know some people have been having trouble restoring nandroids that were themed.
It has been said that nandroid backups wont work sometimes. It would be best for you to do odin EB01 again.
Did you do nandroid backup b4 flashing? If so, do it, it will get you back to state b4 you flashed new kernel
But flashing new rom seems the safest way.

Yea, I think that I may be one of those because I can't get it to work. Do you happen to have a link to the full odin EB01 package?

Ok cool, thanks. I was hoping there was an all in one package like the DI01 all in one.
That kernel seems to be nothing but problems for people. I've been using JT's UV, etc. VooDoo kernel, and it is amazing. Maybe try that until imnuts works the kinks out of his.

I'm using Vibrant 2.9.1 with Overclock 2.2.1. Fast and works well. I just moved over from a BlackBerry a week ago so I love it.

As far as what rom to run I think you need to try a couple of them out. It's kinda a personal taste. I am running trigger 2.9.1

Why do you want ED03? It was a very small fix for devices who weren't able to update OTA from EA28, and a software fix for the camera, which would be overwritten if you reflashed CommRom anyways. Everything else is most likely exactly the same as ED01

There is only one way that I know of, Odin this: http://adrynalyne.us/files/stuff/CI500_VZW_DL09_ECLAIR.tar.md5 This will get you to DL09. From there simply go to settings>about phone>system updates and update to EA28 and then do it again and update to ED03.
If you don't care about the modem, I have the Odin package available in the Dev forum.

@imnuts: Yeah, I saw that. I've just heard some good things about the ED03 radio that I want to try it. I might check out your thread, though. Do you think I'd be able to use the Comm Rom while on ED03?

Yes, I'm on the ED03 modem and KangBang now.
EDIT: The modem also has the same TWS bug as ED01 did.

I installed a custom theme and was wanting to try out a different one. I am on the UnNamed 1.0.3 rom, btw. Do I have to revert to the stock 1.0.3 theme before flashing a new one in CWM or can I just flash the new one without reverting?
Thanks.

You can just flash the new one. When you flash a theme, it replaces system files. Flashing a new theme will just replace the old theme files.
Thanks for the quick answer! You guys here are the best with helping out. I have always been an iPhone person, from the original to the 4, but finally wanted something new that I could actually mess around with. I can't believe it took me so long to go android!

Lol....that's what a lot of people say.
The only thing is, that some themes may not "theme" all of the same applications. So if you have a situation where one part of an old theme was retained, it means your new theme didn't change everything that maybe another theme chose to customize. In this situation, there are ways to revert that part to stock or even to a different theme. I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get there lol.
Good luck.
If you end up changing themes alot, you can always just flash the rom again and then do whatever theme you wanted. Flashing a rom will always undo all theme changes.
Let's say I was to flash the same rom again (UnNamed 1.0.3). Would I need to do a wipe first? Thanks again for all the help.

Generally, no. Most people will say yes. If you're updating from UnNamed to a newer version of it, then no.
