If its stuck on se logo reflash to 2.1 again, and install all needEd things to use xrecovery like rooting and busxybox. If your fault you.re not reading..

Because if this you need custom so update service cant detect x8 plus it will download general w8 firmware.

@as-mario, yes i already know that, what i said is, that you have to make sure that the ro.product.model is NOT E15 or E15i or E15a, so that SEUS won't detect the phone as X8

hmm, try changing ro.product.model value with W15, i think thats the original name for W8, just like X8 = E15
P.S : maybe you need to change the other X8-related value, like shakira, or X8
oh yeah, i cannot try it myself right now, as im running on linux, and its midnight here, and im very tired, go to sleep

then why the phone chooser is exist if it can recognise the phone via imei or trim?
I don't know... no matter which phone you choose, SEUS will recognize the actual info from TA/GDFS.
Only stock FW has customization-related apps that read info from build.prop and write it to TA, so since I have it, I'm gonna try something about it

Can anyone give me link of some Indonesian forum where people have W8? I'd try with changing build.prop...
I think the W8 firmware is not worth using but to get some widgets might prove good, and a specific forum for W8 will not exist, I even asked sevitius, unless there are loads of people wanting to have a separate w8 forum
anyone got W8 or not?
I've asked for build.prop on Android-Indonesia. But it's 1AM there so I'll have to be patient...

in my forum, there's still no one owns W8, well, i'll try to find it
EDIT = i think W8 is not available yet on indonesian market.

When flashing, my phone is reboot and then appear nAa kernel logo and recovery mode. I use various way to fix but not working.
No boot with phone system.

Dear Brothers,
Last night I wiped and restored my X8 to factory setting, and then restored with a backup file. But maybe that backup file is the wrong or corrupted. From that time on, I cannot restart the phone, and it stops at logo "sony erricsson". Thought I have tried many suggest solutions, I cannot even boot to x-recovery.
My X8 is hacked and using Rom 2.2 Froyo.
By the time, please tell me how to get my X8 back to original Eclair 2.1 rom?

this rom seems to be for x10 mini pro , not for x10 mini ... after boot no way to use it cause no way to point really on the different things .. surely driver is for x10 mini pro
sorry i deinstall it .. but i'm waiting really for this kind of miui project under ics for x10 mini ...
the other rom miui by stelios is not functional about data cause apn can't be enter ... and pin code is not resquested at boot so can't work ...

i am a newbie here. with help of the forum, i was able to root my xperia neo V running stock ICS. now that i want to try custom ROM - Polish Blood...
the topic for the same only gives an overview...
can somebody please guide me about going further with this...
i have downloaded the required files from the links on the topic
my neo V is rooted with a locked boot loader and have installed a few apps recommended (Titanium Backup, ROM Toolbox & ROM Manager)
do i need to install a kernel (if yes, which) or can i just install the ROM?
any help is appreciated

what would you suggest, should i go with the official Sony method or is there some other way around. i don't want to lose the warranty, just in case something goes wrong. since, you are using a neo V and even the ROM... what are the major positives & negatives?

after updating to ICS (the first release) it was good only after i got root,
thanks to the developers here at xda
but i would still like to go with the Polish Blood ROM to enjoy the free memory and speedier, responsive games & applications (hope so)

I remember how I thought my phone was bricked
You can do it easily now. Just take someone's help for test point (if you choose) or official is easy.

Yea a year after even I would feel childish in asking such questions
Btw yea things have become much more easy and reliable...
And I'm considering official as I am not finding any guy who can do the unofficial unlock for me...
Wish I could have met you or communicated with you through some other medium like chats.... So that I don't brick by doin unlock by unofficial method... I know it sounds noobish but can't really help it.... As this being my 1st droid... Don't wanna ruin it and then spend money....
