ok I have a virgin mobile LG OPTIMUS V. I recently rooted this phone and flashed clockworkmod recovery and i flashed cm7. For reasons I shouldnt have to go into I had to return this phone back to stock so i went into CWM recovery and did a backup of my last stock root 2.2. Then i accidently went into privacy and hit reset factory. Now my phone only boots up in clockworkmod recovery over and over. Can i fix this somehow? Thanks

First of all download and flash Mik's cm rom as per instructions or any backup done. Then you may ponder upon other options.

I still have the cm7 rom on my sdcard and i even tried to re-flash it but it still boots up into clockworkmod recovery.

Hello,
I have an optimus v phone that I rooted using fastbootroot. That worked great, while I had it. A couple of days ago I decided to sell the phone and tried to get back to stock. I do not remember correctly, but I had a nandroid of the original rom, that I tried to restore. For some reason it did not work. I then Tried using fastbootroom using option number 3, to restore factory room, and now I am stock in the Android System Recovery, build: RA-THUNDERC-1.1.0-GNM.
I tried installing the factory room (zip) that I downloaded from here, xda, and it installs fine, however, when it boots, it goes back to Android System Recovery build: RA-THUNDERC-1.1.0-GNM. I also tried The nandroid option but it does not work with the backups that I have.
I have tried other things during the past two days, but the last one was the KDZ FW Update, as noted here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=875881
I found the Firmware from LG for the Optimus V, but it is in a .cab instead of .kdz format, so that has not worked either. Also, I could not get the KDZ FW Update to recognize the phone, so even if I had a .kdz not sure if I could Flash.
I someone could direct me to a from to restore to factory of at least to boot again into a room, I would appreciate it.
Thanks!
FYI- I have also tried abd shell thing and it has not worked for me either.
Fixed
It took me a while to find a working fix, but this phone is finally working. With a thread over at android central, member Whyzor recommended using Xionia CWMA to flash a rom. I did that, and was able to reboot into a rom that I had saved on the SD Card. On Xionia I could not use the nandroids that I had created with Clockwork Recovery.
I then flashed Clockwork Recovery and rebooted to flash the Stock nandroid that I had. That worked perfectly, however, the phone would again be on a loophole with Clockwork Recovery (wonder why?). I just flashed Xionia once more, and the phone is back to stock Rom but with Xionia Recovery and Rooted.
The Xionia recovery can be found here: http://www.mediafire.com/?fbaoutnaw717pnb
And the original thread: http://androidforums.com/optimus-v-...android-system-recovery-after-data-reset.html
Hope this helps someone in the future!
So its to my understanding that you don't need ROM manager after you root the SF with clockworkmod installed during the root process. I ran rom manager after root, installed the latest clockworkmod from ROM manager, and then rebooted. Whenever I would flash anything it would go to the rom managers cwmr. But if i hard rebooted it with the volume keys it would go to Voodoo, which i assume takes the place of the stock Android Recovery. However, I tried to manipulate a nandroid back up in the VooDoo cwm, and it immediately sent me phone into a boot loop followed by a total brick of my phone. What do we need to use? I'm coming from a rooted Droid X before my fascinate.
Thanks!

Don't waste your time with ROM Manager if you're not running CM7. It doesn't work with the Fascinate otherwise. Stick with the CWM you put on there with ODIN. If I were you, I would get the tar file for CWM 3 and reODIN it.
I've since restored my phone back to stock, rerooted and gotten miui back the way I had it. Now unfortunately I didn't read your post early enough and mistakenly added rom manager again and installed their version of clockwork. Should I just boot recovery and wipe/reset. That'll get rid of the secondary clockwork I installed right?

Hello people....
I am new to SGS3 xda forum....i am from Pakistan...its been 2 weeks since i bought a SGS3 (second hand)...probably of 3mobile U.K...i was told by the seller that the phone was unlocked in Pakistan....as i tried system update from settings...it said that my phone was modified and could not be updated....so i decided to install CWM Touch on my SGS3 in order to create backup of my current stock ROM (4.1.1)...my phone is not rooted yet....i followed the instructions given in the following link:
http://jellybean-news.blogspot.com/2013/02/complete-guide-to-install-clockworkmod.html
Odin took 1 second and my phone was booted....Odin gave the Message ''Pass!''...everything went fine as it should have been...but when i went into the recovery mod...Stock Android Recovery is opening instead of CWM Touch....noting my phone is not rooted yet....it is also normally booting and everything is fine....can anybody guide me about the problem that i am currently facing...and its solution as well....?? Help Would Be Appreciated...
Edit:Just Flashed CF-Root Pakcage Including SuperSU and CWM Manager with CWM v5.5.0.4....now it goes into CWM...but still one noob question....have my previous stock android recovery and CWM Touch been automatically deleted/replaced?...or they still exist?? Thanks
Sounds like you were trying to install a cwm without being rooted.
Cwm replaces the stock android recovery. You could now try flashing the cwm touch through your current cwm. Make sure its a zip. If you come and ask for help You should really follow a guide on xda though. They are the best guides around.

When you flash a recovery you will delete the previous recovery in doing so, your stock and touch are both gone - replaced with v5.5.0.4.
You can now boot into CWM and install a better recovery, try Philz touch recovery for instance.
Folks,
Phone - AT&T E970 Jellybean
I rooted and BL-Unlocked my phone and installed CWMOD recovery. I backed up my stock AT&T Rom using CWMOD. I played around with a few ROMS but I found that Stock was the most stable so I restored my backup using CWMOD so everything works like normal now. However, I still do have CWMOD recovery iinstalled. Is there a way to flash just the stock recovery back?
I did search for the LGNPST guide but that seems to over-write everything. Is there a lower risk way to restore the stock recovery using a TOT file or something like that?
Any help would be appreciated..
So i recently rooted my device and installed TWRP to flash some files, but today i went to take the OTA (big mistake, i know) and i just get in a TWRP loop, i go to reboot the system and it brings me right back to TWRP. I tried to nandroid restore but apparently my backup was interrupted or something because i get the same thing after trying to restore. At the moment i am trying to install a custom rom and see if i can get my stock recovery back, any suggestions on how to do so once the rom is finished installing? I tried to use lg flash tool earlier to re-downgrade, but it wont pick it up in TWRP, and thats what it brings me to when i do the button combo with the usb cable thing.
HELP me lol
