I wanted to know if anyone tried it and if it was a good rom?
I've been using CM7, which is basically CM6 except Gingerbread. And besides not having camera and YouTube, it is better than any rom I've used so far.

Eris is not an HD phone....
Worked when I was running 2.2. Doesn't work with Ginger tazz 7, pretty sure its just a cm7 issue. I've heard the dolphin browser lets you watch the hq videos though.
Sent from my Eris with Ginger Tazz 7. Yeah that's right, I have 2.3 on my Eris....EAT IT!
yes same here, it worked on the 2.2 roms i've tried, but everything else is so much better with gingerbread!
guess i'll just wait, or try different browsers
thanks for th ereply
I don't know what to tell you. It works fine on my phone.
I have tested almost all avaivable roms here and seen that camera is best with SE original rom, mean zoom and it's simple and takes good pictures.
Roms(2.2) almost all doesn't work zoom and auto focus looks like slower and buggy.
So is there possible to get that good camera which original rom has? to 2.2 roms? Thats annoying I bought this phone and like this camera and need it, but doest like original rom that much than roms here.
from my experience the none of the 2.2 roms provide the same kind of interface/quality. Have you tried some of the custom/optimized 2.1 roms? Last time i used one of them i was quite surprised at the speed.
Try Bitsnacker 2,1 if you are on baseband 435. The camera will do everything you want and it is a ultra stable, fast and good looking RON.

Hi!
I have not released any ROM before, but I have a couple of them on my harddrive.
Both of them are ported from other devices, and iv'e used Z ROM just to get them booting, and then used FreeXperia sources for "optimizing" them.
Now to the question, I have one MIUI ROM, and one AOSP "stock google" ROM, which one do you think I should be focusing on and releasing? What do you guys want the most? Anything else I should put in there etc?
AOSP. I don't really like the miui interface, but Trip's ROM works great.

AOSP for GB or Froyo?
Like MIUI except for not having an app drawer. Only drawback.
Hi guys, I'm just wondering: I've tryed a few roms and now I'm with CM7 beta. The 1st ROM i tryed was Alien and i realy liked the camera it has. The question is the following: is there a way to port that 1080p droid 3 camera from alien rom to CM7?
This would be difficult as I believe that the D3 camera is based off of blur and requires it to run. If someone does it I give them a tip of my hat.
I also believe that work is being done on the cm7 camera as it is still in beta. So that will probably be updated before someone comes out with a port

Does anyone have the steady MIUI V4 for Dell Streak. I'm a fan of MIUI, but I like both the Streak. I tried v4 MIUI.us-2.8.3 version, but the camera, the recorder and many other things do not work. It is true that there are earlier versions stable, but V4 is much more developed. would he a stable MIUI V4 for Dell Streak? Thank you in advance for your response.
No one has yet been able to port fully working ICS based rom yet. The last fully working Miui was 2.4.2 which is gingerbread based.
