Hi everyone,
Because I'm new on this forum, I can't ask on the dev thread...
The J's tutorial says that we have to flash some parts in order to install 2.3 on X10. Should I flash with xRecovery or another app?
I'm writing french tutorial so thanks for answers
u need to flash the new firmware which will give you .54 .... i'd say use flashtool to do that. look for the many threads talking about the .54
go to this thread and follow instructions for flashing baseband http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=939812

Ok, as I have got a little bit time to help you saving time, here are my favorite rooting threads:
1. Chainfire's CF-Root thread => http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399&highlight=CF+Root
Please read Chainfire's first two posts carefully before flashing anything.
If you can find the corresponding CF-Root kernel to your ROM (should be "XX_OXA_KG6"), then this is the easiest flashing method and provides the CWM Manager (including ClockWorkMod recovery with additional features for backup, recovery, flashing zip files, flashing kernels, etc.).
2. Intratech's "Quick Root Guide" in his first post of this thread => http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278
This is a little bit more manually but works on every ROM (you only need the stock kernel to get rid of the yellow triangle after flashing).
Thank's for helping.Will try tomorrow.

above questions seem to be dumb but i am a newbee.. have rooted my mobile have CWM 4.0.0.9 on my device.
Help is really appriciated.
First... If you are new to all of this... Do some research... and please, please please please, READ CAREFULLY ... And READ CAREFULLY AGAIN ... Then flash This ROM ... Is the best...
But reading and understanding the flashing process is a MUST
EDIT: You must install CWM 5 ... Can flash it thru CWM 4, find it here
Hi everyone,
I am new here and I have already rooted and unlocked my phone + installed cyangenmod(Latest) boot.img + installed NightElfs kernel and then Achotjan's ROM.(Other's NOT working ...)
When I boot I see : FreeXperia Boot Screen and then the logo of Semc Debranded (I also have CMW Full from DoomLord).
Now some thing aren't working (Can't post in section dev. ::> new ! )
So I am just asking how to see your band version / firmware ?
Can someone please briefly explain or gimme a link explaining this ?
(I guess firmware is Android version ie 2.3.4 ?)
In the info screen of my cellphone.
Android version :2.3.7
Smallbandversion ? What is this ? = 8x55A-AABQOAZM-203028D-56
Kernel version : 2.6.32.9-FXP-v03 [email protected] #17
Build number Achotjan-semc-debranded-engine-v1.0-hotfix
Someone knows if I have the wrong requirements for this ROM Achotjan's SEMC Debranded CM7?
Because when I am trying to flash any other ROM then Achotjan's SEMC Debranded CM7 ROM I am stuck at the boot logo.
Do I need to flash a .ftf (Firmware ?) file for this to work correctly ?
Or have I Forgotten a step (unlock BOOT, Root, kernel, ROM ?)
Thanks in advance !
Kind regards !

Searching in XDA is not very difficult plus reading beforehand is an awesome practice
You should first ROOT your device, see this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=901247
1 st root ur mobile = that is getting administrator rights
then install custom recovery like clockworkmod
then you can download any rom(compatible) and flash it to install
i already follow this instrucions(root)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1200167
what should i do next?
what is rom anyway?
