[Q] USB OTG for the x10mp - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

can anyone tell me the website where they took apart the x10mp to pieces??? i think i saw the website once, but cant remember the url...also can anyone tell me whether our x10mp can support usb otg cause i saw at this http://sven.killig.de/android/Blade/usb_host/ that the the zte which has the same msm7227 as our x10mp can be mod to support otg..can someone enlighten me on this question? thx and sorry for my bad english

sorry guyz, i think i got da answer form this site http://www.globalconnectortechnology.com/usb-connectors/default.aspx and the answer is probably a NO, but im pretty sure that the msm7227 chipset support otg, but due to the hardware limitation probably
UPDATE
i just noticed that zte blade also use a micro-B port, so i think that the otg on our x10mp is still a go but probably need some mods

they were the phonwreck, com guys who took it apart....is it really possible.

Tv output?

Does anybody know if a mini usb to tv out cable will work on g1? I don't know much about these cables and would like to know if the cable will work by just simply plugging it in. Or if additional software would be required.
Any info would be a great help as I hope to use 1 of these cables for a tv streaming app.

Was unaware that the question had been posted before, better search harder next time before starting a thread.
Will not be looking into this further as it seems clear that it doesn't work. Thanks for the posts that have answered my question

Sorry, about duplicated Thread about the G1 TV out that was already post before, but this website below fuel my curiosity and probably was misleading about the ability to broadcast video. Thought maybe HTC created a cable that enable many HTC device that don't have the TV-out to a capable function and I know it more in the hardware, but the software/drivers support too. It also seem it more supported in a Winmo OS device then Andriod OS.

To make it clear once more, there's no TVout on G1 (a.k.a HTC Dream).
The physical connection to the signals of the chipset is missing and additionally there's not software to support this part of hardware.
HTC devices with TVout feature, deliver the dedicated signals on some of the pins at the extUSB connector.
The adaptor you pointed at, is a simple cable with some passive elements inside (e.g. filter) to attach to extUSB connector and match it to the input of the TV set.

[Q] Does this device support the Open Accessory?

Hello, I have searched the forums and have been unable to find an answer to my question either here or through Google.
I am trying to figure out whether or not the HTC Evo 3D has the capability to use the Android Open Accessory that was supposed to be added in 2.3.4. Though, even though the phone supports may contain the libraries, the hardware itself may not support it. If some one could help me determine whether or not the phone is capable of connecting to an Arduino board it would help a lot. This is the one feature that I absolutely need to know it has before I purchase it.
Thank you for your time and I apologize if this has already been answered and I was unable to find it.
Android Arduino Board
The hardware can do it, but since the 3D is android v2.3.3, I don't think the libraries are there yet. Once HTC provides an update to v2.3.4 (or we gain perm root for custom roms), you should be "good to go".
Just FYI - the Arduino board acts as a USB Host since Android phones are normally USB devices. That and the software are all that is needed to talk to the board....
Thank you very much for your help.
I do not know why the USB Host bit slipped my mind. After all the board I am using is called Oleg's USB Host Shield. lol

[Q] Difference between USB Host/Accessory & this Tablet

Hello!
I’ve to make an Android high school project and I’ll need to send signals through the USB cable (the interpretation of these will be another project) so be able to send 1 or 0s will be enough I guess…
To get that, I’d need the USB Host mod or the Accessory one?
I was thinking to buy this tablet for testing that has USB Host and 2.3.4 Android version but I’m not completely sure if it will be compatible….
Thank you very much!
Please....
no one?....
sadly, with the cheap 'Chinese knockoff' tablets, there's pretty much no way to know something like that.
I say get an old android phone with at least some dev support off Craigslist or something for your problem. An OG Droid (for example) would have more than enough supports and preexisting hacks for you to be able to program the USB port a little.
Thank you strongly. I supposed that all, but my intentions were to get "send that signals" using an non-customed ROM and a "cheap" Android device (I can't no waste to much money on this)
Read in the specifications USB OTG made me think that will be posible to control USB...
Anyway, would you know the difference between USB Host and Accessory?
Thank you very much!
http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/usb/accessory.html
^that should help explain it.
Thank you, I have read before but the only difference I saw was the power source location....:S

USB headphones / audio through miniusb port on HTC EVO 3D

Hi,
Does anybody know if it's possible to attach a usb headphone through the mini usb port on the htc evo 3d? I've searched around and people have said that google has added support for usb audio in Android 4.2.1 .... ?
Any information is greatly appreciated. I apologize if this has already been answered but I couldn't find it anywhere. If you have a link to that information, I would love to read it. Thanks again! :fingers-crossed:
I know that I bought some Micro USB to USB adapters wanting to use with my Evo3D and they didn't work on there, nor my father's tablet, also on ICS, and I thought the adapters might be bad, but I now have the Note 2, with 4.1.2 and they work fine, both with speakers and a USB keyboard that I've tried working fine with the device.

Need help with my LG F60, new so dont know if it's okay asking here.

Need help with LG F60, screen digitizer doesn't work and just wanted to ask if theres a way to get full control of phone through pc? Would be nice if I get one answer yes or no. If yes may u please explain. ty. and sorry once again if not supposed to post in this section...
No. This would only be possible if your phone supported USB OTG, so you could at least use a mouse/keyboard, but it doesn't. The digitizer is fairly easy to change on most LG phones like yours...
