Does anyone know the directory of installed apks both on system and sd card?

Application Installer program is missing so I cant do it the old way like 1.6, anyone know how?
Install a file manager, then browse to your sd card and select the .apk file you want to install
Or just use Dropbox...

i cant install apps from Sd card but phone reads my card!
and i cant mount storage into computer,but with stock 2.1B i dont have these probs!
i had the same problem when i had the stock 2.1 i used app2sd so i did partions to my sd.after installing Wolfs CM 6.1.3 V6 my phone was reading sd but couldnt make new folders or install apps.so i deleted all partition and created only one now everything works fine

i installed new rom: Batista70 FOXHOUND EDITION 2.4.
i tried to install theme using the CWM from recovery mode, but it says that there r no files on the sd card, although several zip files files exist (i checked by connecting the phone to the computer). what can be the problem ?

try to copy the zip files in the root directory in the internal SD card not the external SD card. install themes directly from Foxhound updater!
If I try to rename or delete files from SD card with astro file manager, I get insufficient permissions error.
It was working few months ago, is it ICS update or astro update problem?
Anyone has same issue?

Just tried deleting a photo with Astro and it works only when viewing the photo with the device's gallery or the app quick pic. I am on ICS.

Permission for writing files to and deleting files from sdcard and sdcard2 (external SD card) was changed in Android 4 (ICS); user write/delete permission was diabled. This change broke many apps that could write and delete files with previous versions of Android. If your ICS is rooted, you can use Condi's AIO tool's Tweaks and Mods item 12 to enable the write/delete permission for sdcard and sdcard2.
does anyone have a copy of this rom,all the links are dead.i somehow managed to delete my roms folder on my sd card.
