Guys, just a question, now i'm on trip arc rom (flawless), when trip will release the new update i will flash again and the setting, apk, phone's numbers will be lost.
My question is how i can flash the new version of the trip arc rom without lost everytime my data?
Use MyBackup Root to backup calls/contacts/sms/mms/bookmarks and apps (you can also use Titanium Backup for all your apps). Be careful restoring data for apps, in most cases you should restore apps without the data.

X10a is on bb54..ran Trips 2.2miui rom with cobratos bb patch. Made a backup through xrecovery.
[Q] when restoring the backup do I need to reapply the bb patch zip after restore before reboot?
I've done a restore and been locked on the se logo screen unable to open xrecovery. Not really looking to change bbands since I also run Wolfs rom..

I was switching between J's GB ROM and Wolf's. I was on baseband 52 all the time and on Wolf's I used the baseband patch. When I do a restore of my backup the ROM fully works.
I guess the patch is for the ROM and not the baseband.
Are u talking about restoring your backup of J's Rom?
If you restore a backup of Wolfs Rom it works fully without having to reinstall the bb patch zip?

DO NOT reinstall the patch if its applied already in the backup.

Any idea why when I try restoring my backup of TripNMIUi I end up stuck at the se logo? Its happened twice...first time I was able to get into xrecovery after 30+min of trying..second time I had to use Seus and flashtool..

I always do full wipe, including cache and dalvik...
I do a clean..same as if installing custom Rom..maybe I should clean more than once?
I usually don't wipe battery stats though..but everything else

Just found what possibly the problem. I believe I downloaded the GB patch instead of the patch for Froyo. But it worked on Trips 2.2 miui..so I'm guessing on restore it finally caused a problem.
Have to check the patch to see if its actually the wrong one..

Root with flashtool which is in Androxyde's thread in dev section. All the ROMs of each version have similar performance and battery will be more affected by your apps/settings so its all just preference. Flashing a new ROM will wipe out all your apps and data but you can restore a lot. Just read and figure out what you want.

This ROM here. The one in my signature is good too but its not as complete as this one yet. But this will erase data. You can use titanium backup to save apps and its settings which you can get from the market before you flash any roms. Keep posting here if you need help getting a phone ready for flashing.
Rendeiro2005 makes this one I posted.
I`m going to reinstall the official rom on my X10(because of gingerbread)
My question is how can i keep my app-data(like achievement in Angry Birds)?
I use titanium backup now, but i can`t use that app with stock rom right, is there any other programs like titanium that do not require root?
Sorry no there isnt a way for non rooted phones

Hi ,
I put my first question on XDA
I own a i9300 and run a cm12.1 (5.1.1) beta rom.
Every week there is a new update of this rom.
A dirty flash is no good idea, so every time I reinstall the whole Phone.
Becaus I have many icons, short cuts, dektop settings etc.. it takes hours to reinstall the Phone.
Is there a way to backup these settings/icons and restore them after a reinstall of the Phone?
Thanks a lot!!!

Okay, posting on Xda does not work...thanks:banghead:
Okay I found out:
Trebuchet launcher gives the look and feel of your Android device. (you can install a different launcher to give it a other look)
So if you backup de launcher settings, you backup icons etc...
In this case I use Titanium backup, to backup my icons.(you have to find out the best backup tool for your launcher)
