I think all know that the first time you scroll between arc launcher screen it takes a little more cause the cache must be builded up!! After that laucher is smooth and fast,but i've noticed that sometimes the cache seems to be resetted so at the scroll it is laggy again..i've already set "to keep the launcher app in memory" in cyanogen setting but sometimes this happen anyway!! This not a problem but it's a little bit boring!! Anyone has faced this problem??any solution??i'm using achtojan 2.2 cm 6 rom but the problem is the same in other roms!! Can this issue related to memory management app like autokiller or sysctl??

- Keeps the cpu constant at 80 , but only when you're in the homescreen. Returns to normal when using applications or with backlight off!

Try maybe renaming it. I've renamed it (removed the chinese characters) and installed it via adb install. Works fine.
As for the homescreen, looks really nice but I feel it's just a battery drainer.
Thanks, renaming it with root explorer worked a treat, actual program works well, quite frequent crashes and could do with dxtop style dial/message bar, oh and i now have three consecutive lock screens, default, this new one and then another that i think is from beautiful Widgets, bit weird

Ya i recommend you stick to either ADW or the default , Battery Drains like crazy , hope they come up with an update to solve the lag!! , obviously we wont be using this after 2.1 comes out
Eversince i got on CM7 this issue happens 100%.
Soon as Phone boots up, launcher pro is stuck- the notification bar everything is good, i can slide down everything, but launcher pro is just frozen. Then after a while, it either starts working... or FC comes up and soon as i click FC everything is back to normal, smooth and all that good stuff.
anyone know why this is?
Never happned on another ROM, just CM7... OFC im not leaving CM7 because of this, but i'd like to know what the issue here is and hwo i can fix it or if it's happening to anyone else

got it working, a guy from the Nexus S forums helped me out.
For CM7
Settings>CM7 settings> Performance> VM Heap Size> change to 48M
reboot.

Try GO Launcher. It's a free download, has been more reliable for me. It has a very similar look to Launcher Pro and is more customizable.

on my hero, after loading something like google maps and then pressing the home button... my screen is blank, then the dock, iconless, redraws. eventually icons and widgets appear.
going into the app drawer then, that too builds itself out as apps get discovered during what seems like a full launcher reboot.
how can i prevent this?

cm7.1 stable, which comes with adw launcher. i have also tried zeam launcher and it's the same story.

Have you tried reflashing Rom with cache and dalvik wipe? Or check keep launcher in memory in cm settings -> performance?

i have yes. still get the problem.
Yeah i had the same issue with this rom, i also had difficulty signing in to my google account, it kept asking me for the details every time i restarted my phone.
Switched to CM_hero_full-230, which is a nightly build, no problems so far
for the record i have given up on this. i am trying a nightly or just another rom.
Does anyone else find that their launcher reloads all the time? I just unlock the screen sometimes and it has to reload

Yeah Apex also does it.. maybe there isn't enough RAM so it drops the launcher out of memory. Seems a bit daft when there are a ton of other background processes that could be dropped instead. Maybe the launcher doesn't have a high enough priority.
I have the same issue, very annoying.
Have you guys tried changing the settings for tolerance of running background apps in the Developer options?
For myself I only get a reload of TW after exiting the browser or playing something like Shadowgun.
If you're using Apex launcher (and if you're not, you really should be!) Go to advanced options in the apex app and check keep in memory. I haven't had a single reload since.

your problem is about the LAUNCHER. the launcher gives the UserInterface(UI) of your home screen and APPlication DRAWER. I suggest you install this launcher like the ones from Xperia Phones,

YOU can choose to have a
*Dock Bar(quick launch of shortcuts at the bottom with only 5 shortcuts including the middle that launches the APP DRAWER)
or
*4 corner bubbles(like the ones you are asking)

I did test the JB from nAa up to it's nightlies to dec 24.
It's fast. because I have a not RAM hungry launcher(like the launcher I gave you), I deleted unwanted system apps and data. I use swap on SD-ext, Used a2sd to move apps from internal to SD-ext, over clocked it to 768Mhz(max), 245Mhz(min), Pushed Entrophy seeder, and flashed the Adrenaline Boostv3.
FAST, sometimes stops for a second then goes fast again. have good battery life. and nice UI(from theming).
BUT seriously, I used it for just a month and go back to GingerDXv029.
