[Q] HELP, phone will not Boot - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ok, i installed "[Cyanogen6.1.3]gingerbread[v01]" then it was all working good. Then at the end of the day in the X10 flash tool, i clicked optimize and rebooted. After that the phone will not boot. Its just stuck on the "Sony Ericsson" Logo? Can anybody help me please?
Heres a log before it screwed itself:

I read that when u are on a costom rom jit (optimize) is usually already installed, so by optimizing after custom rom can cause problems. You may need to re-flash back to stock and start over.

oh my gosh... cant it just be simple like an iOS device.... ive spent all day customising it... and ive got a slowwww internet connection that will take like a day to download the stock os... oh well

your only solution is flashing from scratch again
NEVER optimize ANY custom/moded rom. it´s already pre-installed

Your bootloader may still be locked
I had the same problem and got exactly the same error.
I thought I had unlocked the bootloader, but hadn't. Once I got it unlocked, the problem was solved.
For a easy guide to unlocking the bootloader, see here.
There, they alos tell you how to see if you're phone has an unlocked bootloader or not.
I rooted the phone using Flashtool first. That is done by clicking the big padlock icon.
I hope this helps.

Think I destroyed my phone

Hi, I just did very, very bad thing. i wanted to try ICS alpha on my SE NEO, so I unlocked boot loader, followed all steps of manual and then, I realized it's for NEO V and for this it is not gonna work. But it was the time when I already flashed boot.img and userdata.img. So I wanted to heal it. The "best" idea what came was to erase "system" partition on my device... Sounds nice, noah? And now, problem (It's all big problem) I downloaded Xperia flasher, downloaded Stock firmware for NEO and I dont know how to get it there. In Flasher It looks like this, when I start and it stucks on it...

It's out of charge! !!!!
Just plug the charger. & wait about 5 minutes then press power button.
Hit;if nothing changed try a new charger, last solution is Sony service center cause its not a software problem.(if you didn't flash a rom)

As far as I have understood, you have to flash your device with kernel 6.1.1.B.1.10 to use the method you tried before. That method doesn't work on 6.1.1.B.1.54.
On this topic, on the first quote you can see a link to download the kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2028139
Good luck
What are the risks of changing kernel? Does it void warranty? Should I go back to .54 after rooting in .10?
Also, my phone is a St25a, that kernel is for st25i. They say I must delete baseband to work, how I do that?
Thanks
Sent from my Xperia U using Tapatalk
Just flash .10 kernel then try bin4ry and then flash .54 kernel
Sent from my ST25i using xda app-developers app
Well i flashed b10 kernel of that topic and when i turn phone on its screwed up - fonts are all black, some menus images dont appear, it laggs like hell, notification bar icons and icons dont appear and haptic feedback not working. I tryed to flash it again and the same thing. When i go to Phone Info it tell that i'm still in b54, but everything is fine on Flashtool. I flashed b54 again and its back to normal. What should i do?

You need to flash B54, after your phone is on B54 Stock succesfully, flash the B10 Kernel (assuming it is a FTF file) so you start your phone and it should be screwed (all black and laggy etc...) open the app menu and go to settings, developer settings, turn on debugg mode, now you should be able to successfully root your phone, after that, flash the B54 kernel, and now you should be rooted at stock B54 succesfully.

Is your bootloader unlocked?
If yes and you are on stock firmware, you could simply flash this kernel and then flash this using cwm to root your device. This method worked for me.

Ok, locked bootloader. No problem! Go over to this thread, and download CWM and install as instructed on the thread. You'll have CWM and now you can download the SuperSU zip from this link and flash it using CWM for rooting your device.
Hope that'll help you
Well, it appears to require root. In install.bat it says "/system/bin/sh: su: not found" and then "Finished!" When i try to enter it in startup nothing happens...
Also it says on the thread
Requires:
Stock ICS ROM
Root

Sorry, my bad Didn't quite read the post. Anyways, if you have kernel.ftf of both .10 and .54 firmwares, then you flash the kernel.ftf of .10 first, root using Bin4ry's method and then flash the kernel.ftf of .54 as mentioned earlier in the thread (Thanks to SilentScorn)

After flashing the 6.1.1.B.1.10 kernel your icons can turn black, don't worry and go on.

SilentScorn had given this method earlier in the thread. Hopefully it'll work.
If it doesn't, consider unlocking your bootloader and then flashing a kernel that supports autoroot, like that of Munjeni.
Good luck mate.

xperia z2.. tried to root but goof up

Hello..
Please Help... i am not very good in sofware but i always keen in learning and XDA forum gave me knowledge best required in android world. With this confidence i had success in rooting galaxy n7000, asus max, galaxy plus ... with sony xperia z2 i was skeptical but i took the challenge, i unlock the phone and followed the steps for rooting "(Tool) (Locked & Unlocked BL) root and recovery for 23.5.A.1.291 WITHOUT downgrade ! by By rocker00," and boom goofed up. I tried to flash ftf stock with flash tool it gives error root access denied. Pulling my hair what to do i tried to figure out but in vain. I send the phone to service centre they say that mother board , battery issue has to be replaced estimated charges so high that i could buy new phone. My gut feeling, this being software issue can be solved. Hence, i plug again to Flash tool where it gave me report as under. The phone does not response to any buttons but when connected the led light red blinks indicating battery charging. the flash tool giving report.... hence its still breathing.. how to make it active and playfull wondering.. Hoping forum can do the magic for me.....

Tried with userdata wiped too? And make sure you plugged in your phone to the driver-installed-flashtool-installed computer in flash mode (download mode).

If LED was blinking red, it is no sign for charging, instead it indicate kernel error (soft brick), follow my advice above and see if it works.

Yes you definitely should.
In flashtool menu, you have to INCLUDE all and EXCLUDE none when flashing a FTF.
Please use flashtool v0.9.18.6 for stable result.
