IMEI number unknown - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

When I install any custom Rom ie., CM7 or MIUI on xperia x10i, the IMEI says unknown,
After restoring back to official Rom from Sony it works fine.

2.1 rom on latest baseband

Hi guys,
Currently I am using the 2.2 rom, but cause of thr no camcorder problem I am thinking about backing up the 2.2 rom and using the 2.1 rom for when I feel the need to film. So my question is will 2.1 work with thr baseband used for 2.2? This may be a dumb question...

Good morning..
which baseband did you have now ??
regards
Yes it will work. I am "dual booting" (both roms backed up to restore whenever) freex10 beta 4 and SE's latest 2.1 firmware. Works like a charm, just remember which one is which! Make sure you have enough space on your microsd.

Flash the ROM for new baseband

Which kernel will work with GB

Recently I flashed world generic stock GB .184 ftf to my Xperia U using flashtool, rooted it and removed unnecessary applications but now there is network drop every now and then.
Earlier I had the same GB version (but an Indian version) unrooted and with bloatware, but never had this network drop issue.
I just want to know is there any other kernel which can be flashed over stock to solve this network problem (I hope it's with the kernel )

Flash xperiasspeed kernel or the one by gektheboss

So I have a 1.6 Version

Firmware 1.6
Base 1.0.14
Kernel 2.6.29
Haven't updated at all, are there a lot of benefits to updating to a newer version, 2.3.4?? i.e. Faster boot times, etc like what 2.3.4 did for Xperia Play.
Use Sony Ericsson update service
And update to 2.3
After that if you wish you can root, unlock bootloader, install many different custom roms

Updating to some custom 2.3.4 rom will make Your phone more compatible with new apps, but upgrading Your phone to stock gb will make it lagg as hell.

Baseband Unknown

Hi,
I have Paranoid Android installed and flashed LeanKernel today, since then I get the baseband unknown, tried to restore a nandroid backup but that has not helped.
What do I need to do to get it back up and working again, I have read some of the threads but cant find the radio for my version - Samsung Galaxy S3 Tmobile version UK
Any help will be greatly appreciated
Try reflashing the Rom. Baseband unknown is also not that problematic as long as you get a network.

I tried a relash, realised that I do not have a baseband or IMEI number
