No dude u can flash the new custom rom over it no need to flash stock rom ..sometimes its recommended to wipe system in cwm recovery b4 flashing a new rom but in no way necessary

Well gingerbread 2.3. is a must for cm7 Roms and is a prequisite and my guess is that Guy is BEHRADGH isn't it??? Well newer Roms are compatible with any 2.3.xx !!! So just chill

No, I want to be able to flash the ROM as you would a custom ROM from CWM
I am currently trying the dual boot function in Siyah and wanted to use the stock ROM as a primary ROM. I have cloned my primary ROM (Dragon ICS 2.4) to secondary and wanted to have the stock Orange ROM as primary.

A would not the answer to the q be to flash stock rom via mobile Odin .

That looks interesting.....don't think it will have the ROM i'm after, however I only really needed the signal boost apk. I can live without it!

Did you unlock your bootloader ? If you did , then you can't update via PCC or SUS,
Use Flashtool and flash the ICS FTF ...
