Hi, I found a Paypal appiction on Market. Do you think our phones are secure enough to use this?
Also, do you guys use any antivirus, antispyware app?
I think it is the network operator raather than the phones that's secure just make sure its a official paypal app as others might not be secure

Why does Sony insist on giving us Moxier Mail? I actually use it and like it but even the recent 2.1 firmware only includes Moxier 2.1. The current version is 2.8.
It's great they think they are being nice by giving it too us free but I'd rather pay and have the current version.
Anyone know if I can uninstall the default one since you can't just upgrade over it?

I'd suggest rooting and then removing it to install the latest one. Haven't tried this yet, but I don't see why it wouldn't work
The app is $25. Ill take the free one unless there are some major upgrades between the one we have and this 2.8

2.5 onwards there's a widget I believe
I just wish they would have left the default exchange mail option in android email like every other 2.1+ phone has, why did they take that out?

Because the exchange in 2.1 doesn't meet the minimum security requirements for most corporate organizations
and doesn't sync calendar either, I hear.

There is a way if you really want the stock 2.1 Email. I did it and it works fine.
See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=836541
and follow the instructions. Root needed.
Also.....in order to install Moxier 2.8, there is some file editting needed using root explorer in order to just install it.
I am running Moxier 2.8 on my X10 with 2.1.

Hi, Im using ericks latest 2.1 rom with Z kernal.
When trying to download Asphualt HD (5) from the android market (paid version) upon installing im getting package not signed properly. I wondered if that because of the build number and a couple of other things had been changed in the build.prop (the rom has moddifed values) causing this so I changed it to look stock (apart from the kernal one) which hasn't helped.
Some ideas would be more than welcome to get past 'package not signed properly'. I have paid for it legit from the market and want to use it.
Bump?

I've experienced the problem but I have no solution. I get that problem with Launcher Pro. Try speaking with the developer of said application. I never bothered to try this idea but it might help.
Just e-mail the developer... I don't see any solution for this
Thanks for responding, i didnt think there was a solution. I have emailed gameloft twice and im waiting for a reply for them also.

Greetings!
I have an issue while downloading Medscape contents on my X10; it's apparently due to an Ad Blocking app, but I'm not really sure about it.
I've done a search and I can't actually find a solution to my problem but "turn off your adfree app, then download medscape content". My X10 is running the FreeXperia Achtojan rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1151933), and I'm not sure about which app has this ad-blocking function.
Sorry if the solution to this issue can be found elsewhere... I'm a medical student and this app is quite important to me... If anyone know which is the ad-blocker app running on my current rom or has another way to solve my issue, I would really appreciate it!
Thank you very much!.
Try web md

there is most probably no ad blocking app but the blocking is done through host file.

this should help you.
note : i don't accept any risk involved in using this file.
Thank you so much! It worked!
Hello!
I'd like to buy several apps from the Android market, XDA Premium is one of them.
However, market app or web site says: "This app is incompatible with your Xperia Mini Pro".
I've searched in forums and see that there are several possible workarounds, from using specific (mostly older) version of market app (I've 3.4.4) to setting different screen resolution (mine is set to 160), but I'm not sure whether it's recommended and/or which app to use?
My phone is Xperia Mini Pro (Sk17i), rooted with Easy Rooting Toolkit [v3.0](zergRush Exploit), running Android 2.3.4, build 4.0.2.A.0.58.
How to resolve this issue in order to be able to buy those 'incompatible' apps, including XDA Premium?
Sincerely,
Gour

Edit: The problem was/is that my telephone provider still does not support buying paid apps from the market, but Marker Enabler did the trick.
jhk;jb;kbj;
If your rooted ( I'm assuming you are since your on XDA ) I seem to recall a program called market enabler that lets you trick it into thinking you're in a different country or using another provider. I used it once to get the facebook messenger before it was released in England. Might be worth looking for.

Thanks - I'm not rooted, and don't plan to since it's a new device and haven't got much time on my hands . Am also aware of the market enabler & clearing the Google Play cache but obviously cannot use it because i'm not rooted.
Cheers.
Bump, grateful if someone in the US/Canada could please download and share the build ?
Thanks.
Anyone ???
