[FIX] Drain Battery Fix for CyanogenMod - XPERIA X8 Android Development

Ok, let's do this fast, if you're having Insane battery Drain, and you've tryed everything, do this:
1. Add this lines to hw_config.sh

mount -o rw,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock0 /system
chmod u+s /system/bin/charger
mount -o ro,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock0 /system
2. Charge 100% your Device
3. Reboot into xRecovery, and go advanced-> Wipe Battery Status
4. Let it full drain
Enjoy your damn nice device with more battery life

Calibration needs to be done after flashing a new ROM, but you can calibrate any time you think your battery is miscalibrated. This program does it by removing the batterystats.bin system file. The OS generates a new clean batterystats file soon, thus any fake information from the previous ROM is removed.
It's suggested, but not necessary, to let the phone fully discharge after calibration, then charged to 100% without break.
The app shows your actual battery status, and only allows you to start the calibration (i.e. removes the file) when it's fully charged, unless you force earlier calibration.
The voltage meter can be useful too. Full charge is around 4200mV.
There is an option to beep when 100% is reached so you don't have to closley follow the changes.

Those who had 1.1 or lower installed: you must uninstall before installing from the Market, or else it will say installation unsuccessful, package not signed.
I tried this and it WORKS! (Also works on HTC HD2 Nand version.)

it's safe . i tested on floyo .20. they write all cyanogenmodds.
but i still test battery drain.

OP, if you want to post something here, make sure you test it first, otherwise people would ask the same question.
And, what if your battery is good, if CM7 have such problem, and if you're using CM7, AND even IF your battery is good, your battery could be better if you use that fix.
Also, you could try to copy and paste the code here, so people wouldnt have to open the link again, its to save bandwidth.

Yeah i have the same problem, but i use 3g tho... online 24/7... free dataplan.
2.2 roms drains my battery in 6-9h easily.
Gonna test it on FroyoBread. Just updated to v009 and charging my battery now... 37%

Well took some time cause i was messing around with some other stuff too,
but i edited the config file n wiped battery stats.
I have lost 5% in 30m. Cant tell any difference yet ofc, but it should be noticeable cause my battery drains really fast usually. Ill report back tomorrow, but i guess this thing needs longer period to test.

doixanh just answered my PM n told me that this fix has no effect on FroyoBread... Im too lazy to flash to 2.3.4 atm, but maybe gonna do it tomorrow.

The tweak is basically setting permission for charger app. FroyoBread set that permission already during the install, so no need for that.

Agreed, but I was too tired. I'll update first post as soon as reach PC
The thing is already tested by many of mini useres, and all you guys have to do is check org thread and look for informations that you need.

With litlle usage. Brightness @ minimum when i'm @home.
Normal/heavy usage = 18-26hrs.
But, count nights. And school time.
And I rarely use 3G, and never gps or bt.
Sync off when not needed.

Yeah i get around hours with normal usage. Floyo 0.20. After the fix i get 80% right now instead of the normal 68%.
