The problem is ...
That the sound on my Headphones .. is not actually the Same .. i mean like the sound of the right " earphone " is not like the one on the left .. ? Wtf
Don't say it's the headphone .. i Tested 2 more headphones ... Same problem ..
tested the headphones on another phones .. Worked just GREAT ..
So .. Is it the firmware ... ?
or is it A hardware problem ..

Well, if the song you are hearing is a stereo which means that it has a left and a right channel, is normal that you won't hear the same with each earphone.
I have a song that has a lead guitar and a backing guitar. When I hear it with earphones, the two guitars are each in different channels. If I take off one earphone, I can hear only one guitar.
different in terms of volume level or the sound pattern?
..maybe you got loose or dirty 3.5mm port?
..or maybe you've messed up your player's sound/eq settings somewhere? might worth to test on other player.

Dude ... all the songs are the same .. make's the same sound ... one is louder than the another .. :/

ok here it is now please suggest some solution....
my problem is that the earphone speaker of my imate jamin is not working properly. i mean when i make or recieve a call i could not hear the caller's voice but when i turn the speaker on its fine and when i turn the speaker off theirs no voice they could hear me but i cannot .
i've tried 4/5 different ROMS but the problem is still there.
is it some hardware problem??? but some times it works fine
head phone jack faulty
it could be the head phone jack which is faulty, try plug in and out a few see if it work and able to listen the caller.
it the common problem in the head phone jack.
hope my suggestion help you solve the problem

Try a WM5 ROM and see if that helps.
Also try the headphone trick in the post above this.
Failing that, I would assume it's a hardware issue.

there aint no problem with the headphone jack because when i use the headphones it works fine even with the speaker (on the back) it works fine. the problem is with the front one (aka ear piece). some times it works and some times it doesn't.
and i've been using WM6 ROMs since last year and there was no trouble as such. it started like last week. now i've even tried old (WM6) ROMs but...
now i'll try WM5 and would tell you.

yeah i just traced out the problem and it is kinda hardware. when i press the back cover (upper one with the camera lena) during the call it starts working but otherwise dont.
and i think the reason is that the device fell down on the ground a few days ago.
now what would you suggest ... if i should open it myself and tighten the back cover or take it to some vendor???

Your choice... The back part is not hard to take of, but to get to the speaker etc you need a T6 screwdriver, and it will void any warranty you have...
glad that your problem is solved in some way. as the early post state not hard to open up the back cover. I've try too and wanna take the camera out too.

and one thing, touch in some grounded surface, like your computer metal case.
the static could kill your prophet.If you need some help how to open it add me in msn I can help you

Every i-mate JAMin has this prob. sumtime i got it two times.......its a hardware prob. with headphone jack.when u plugin ur headphone it routes the sound to headphone but whn u remove it the sound doesnt get rerouted to speaker...simple solution take a pin and start pokin to the right of jack theres a contact there which u have to try to un-connect......n if u cant do it give it for repairs

i used my prophet about 2 years and so far i didn't got any trouble expect small fix. now my prophet flash and rom upgrade works almost everything well but i am having issue of conversation. if somebody call me i can have rings but i can't heared anjything and also who ever i try to call there is no sound at all. even WM player plays but no sound. no notification sound nothing.
i try useing earphone and it gives me very much low sound but if i call or recive then same problem.
does anybody have clue what going on with my prophet?
please i really need urs suggestion .

may be tweak of sound if u know so, as far as i guess i used the photo contact pro 5.09 and set the setting up to loud and may be this things made to happen this problem

what happen this morning is that i change the battery and it work for a while and after i connect to the pc then it back to the same trouble and now i am downloading ur 1d-storm and i will try this one too if any change happen i will let u know.
i am very glad u help me on this trouble what ever happen.

I got this problem sometime, but after I did hard reset it will be ok. I've encounter this problem many cook rooms. but for original shiped room is ok
even when i am trying to speaker on it didn't work. i already flash the original rom but i hae same problem. i can use my prophet only by ear phone. expect that i can't use coz' there is no sound.

there are some programs that let you change the volume levels but if you dont know what you are doing you can ruin your speakers... search for nue audio

Do a search for a small file called "audiopara" (or something similar to that).. That should help for louder volume for many other things too.

Got my galaxy s2 ... its just awesome phone but whenever I play video / audio, the audio output through speaker is very low even if at MAX level . How do I boost speaker volume while playing video / audio without using headset, because using headset the sound is great...
Please help me to resolve issue ASAP...

Are you sure your hand isn't covering the speaker (the speaker is located near the bottom of the phone)?

Thanks, iznee, I found Volume+ app......but am a little nervous to use it coz it Warns repeatedly that "this app may cause serious damage to the speakers." So my questions are :
1. Is the Volume+ app safe to use on an SGS II??.......Actual Users' feedback will be appreciated.
2. Is this process (Boosting of Volume output) reversible? Can I put back my phone system in it's original condition if I don't like this app after using it or will it cause permanent changes by clicking on the "Boost" button??

Phone is hyped up for a reason, it blows everything else, literally out of the water.
My loud speaker is very loud, but then I have had louder (Well only Nokia N95 was louder). My SGS2 is bug free, as are many others.
I would say an SGS2 with quiet speaker is either faulty, or the user likes uncomfortably loud phones, which are few and far between.
If you are root try dsp manager.
AS far as my experience is concerned His lil Bro .. which is S1 got a Better Speaker as compared to the Big Bro ... AS far as the members which are suggesting u to use Volume+, so i wud like to add the Words of The Orginal [DeV]
A Cyanogen Mod 7 or MIUI ROM is HIGHLY recommended. Running this app on a Stock ROM/Kernel may result in it not working, being far too quiet, or getting even quieter. PLEASE don't comment or rate badly if you are on a Stock ROM as this is most likely the problem.

ok heres the deal . i dont know if anyone else has noticed this . im hoping one of the devs can fix it . when i hook up my phone to my truck to listen to music , when i get a phone call , when i hit answer i can hear the person but they cant hear me . if i hit the speaker button they can hear me but they no longer come over my truck speakers . its like the mic is disabled when the 3.5 jack is in use . it all worked fine prior to gingerbread . but i love the rest of gingerbread . so lets see if we can get this fixed .

I think this is how it was supposed to be designed (I know a horrible design flaw). But I think there is a way to fix it. Go to Settings>Call>TTY Mode>Then choose TTY VCO. It should work fine now but I'm not completely sure. Test it and report back.
