has anyone got cloud streaming working with Google Music on the XT720?
I'm in the beta but no streaming.
same here. I have no streaming either
Google says not compatible.
Google Market says not compatible with the XT720....Grrrr....
I got around the market issue by putting the apk on the SD card and installing from there.
Only problem I found with streaming was that battery life takes a beating when I'm using Bluetooth to listen

Hi, I don't live in the US but managed to installed the the google play music app oficially from the play store since is available to download in my country (Honduras), then i used a proxy to download the music manager.
Everything is working fine except that the app is eating data like crazy i just listened to a song that is about 9MB and the app consumed nearly 40MB of data, I've noticed that the app pre download about 3 or 4 songs ahead of the one that i'm listening to that's why it uses so much data even when i'm not making the songs available for offline play. Also i noticed that when is not an entire album this doesn't happen.
¿Is there anything i can do to make it just stream the song that i want and not start buffering the next song in the album ahead of time?
Thanks.
Hey everyone I've jumped over from the iPhone/Apple ecosystem so don't shoot me, but I'm really disappointed with this HTC Media Link HD. I've still got Airplay running side by side and these problems don't exist. I don't mean that to argue about Airplay and whatnot because neither companies are paying me royalties to argue for or against them. I just mention it because I can Airplay stream and mirror without a hitch so I don't want to fend off "your wireless network stinks" responses. I've got an Asus N66 and can sustain mbps back to my NAS/ESXi well beyond what this needs, and I can also stream non-hand braked blu rays without problem. I understand there is differences between streaming and mirroring, but also as I understand this should be a wireless direct connection.
Anyone having these problems:
1. Google Play (perhaps the latest version only) does not look to work with my Media Link. It will play one song and then stop as it tries to load the next song. Manually restarting the next song doesn't resolve I have to close and re-open. Spotify works fine.
2. Any flash I've tried to stream results in audio and video out of sync. I can mirror flash movies across airplay without this issue.
3. Audio cuts in and out in Spotify all the time. I can rarely get 2 songs to play in a row without chop. The cut outs are brief, but still very annoying.
Thanks for any help! Love the phone quite a bit, this is probably my first disappointment.
I have the same problem trying to stream google play music to media link. It only plays one song and it won't play any other songs until I disconnect from media link again - it works fine if its not connected to media link - but with media link only one song?

This issue exists with Google Play Movies as well. I tried contacting support about it a couple months ago with nothing ever coming from it. I was trying to play All Access via Play Music today and ran into the same problem. The songs will not even play when the Media Link HD is connected. I suspect this is some DRM related code put into all the Google media apps. I submitted a support email to Google as will attempt to get as far through to the real tech support people as I can to see if this incompatibility can be resolved. I urge you all to do the same. Stupid DRM...it ruins everything.
It won't play tv.com either, it will play cnn live broadcast, and vevo.
Okay, so I purchased a great deal of songs from Google Play All Access and would like to play them on other media players without the need of buying GmusicFS as it is still buggy. Is there anything I can do so that I may enjoy the music I bought and not play them on a low quality player like Google Play Music app? Or am I just TOO hopeful?
BUMP
I'm not sure where to post this, but i'm having a weird issue with play music
i have all my songs uploaded to play music. i listen to them using my laptop browser and ipad play music app
All my songs are also present on my phone's storage,
when i use the play music app on my android phone, music that are liked, deleted, or added to a play list doesnt appear on my cloud, it doesnt sync to the ipad or my laptop browser. (i'm not a noob, i obviously enabled sync for play music)
i'm thinking this happens because android play music app confuse the duplicate music that exist in my phone and in the cloud.
I need to keep my music in the phones local storage because i dont have fast internet access on mobile data.
How can i make google play music android app to display ONLY online content?
currently the only option is "all music" and "on device"
Hi.
I have the XT1523 (4G+16GB+DTV) and everytime I listen to music (from my sdcard) the player suddenly closes. It happens even with Spotify when I stream music. Does anyone face this problem?
The system version is 5.0.2 - LXI22.50-24.1.
My wife and I both have an issue with our moto e's and Pandora. LTE 8gb on Cricket. Both our Pandora's skip through songs like crazy. However, I haven't experienced and local music skipping using the sd card or even Deezer (like Spotify and amazon instant music). Still trying to figure out why Pandora skips too
Mine does something similar. When browsing web pages with Opera, Amazon Music will crash (even though I wasn't listening to any music.) It doesn't happen with Chrome, and I don't have any problems with other music players (Play Music, and Poweramp.) Not a huge deal, compared to other bugs I've found. Does Maps work for you?

The music player bug happens to me whatever, not depending on the browser or the media player I am using.
Maps app works fine here.
Might be the music player is being closed because of lack of RAM.

I was afraid that it was the reason, then I installed a very tiny player (Omich Player ~ 700KB). Not even this helped solving this issue.
