Has anyone been successful using the car dock with EC09 GB?
I have used "Galaxy Dock Sound Redirector" on ComRom2 without a hitch. Now in GB I can get it to notify the redirect, but there is no sound produced...
/Thanks
Samsung's 2.3.3 isn't working correctly with the dock audio; it was fixed in 2.3.4. All of the other Galaxy phones had that issue, but the majority of them have 2.3.4 now.

Thanks, I guess I'll jump back to ComRom, until it is supported.. Thanks for your reply.

I know there have been a few posts on different rom threads about the audio jacks not working but i thought it would be easier to talk/work it out if we dedicated a thread to it.
Personally i have tried 2 kernels
JL1 and JL5
on two different roms
Pepperkake, and Nero v3
I couldn't get the Official Samsung home app to run it kept crashing i don't know if its due to a framework change or that it wasn't designed to work on froyo.
Let the Thinking, Modding, and Building Commence!
Mods please make this a thread. This is a problem that is plaguing manning of us with the vibrant. I believe that the only help that we can get will be from a dev.
I have also tried many ROMs to fix this problem.
stock JL5
Auxura's newest
and all that the OP has listed as well.
Other things I have tried:
changing to TV out on both settings hoping that it could use the TV micro usb audio out.
running Desk home in the backround
both the car home 2.2.1 from nero v3, and 2.1 from the market
tried faking the market into thinking I was running a vibrant from another counrty that supports 2.2... No updated car home
There must be a missing driver that was not included with the 2.2 leak that custom 2.2 ROms where made from.
Could we take anything from the T-mobile tab's 2.2 OS? I see that also has a car dock that supports audio out. It should be a close match to the real stock 2.2 OS.
Mine wasn't working until I upgraded to Nero V3 w/voodoo and stock kernel. I didn't do anything special or load anything out of the ordinary to get it to work, it just did. I'm glad it's finally working though.

The Kernal that came with Nero?
If not which stock Kernal are you reffering to?
I have re-flashed Nero v3 at least three time to see if it would work.
Just to clarify, you have audio working from the OEM samsung car dock? Not from the phones 3.5mm.
But from the Dock's 3.5mm jack?

I have seen it said that 3e recovery fixes the issues with the headphone jack. So I'd try a stockety stock stock kernel and see if that fixes it. Not a voodoo kernel, ULF kernel, ect...

I did some looking and this sounds like what your talking about. This supposedly contains 3e.
[ROM] JL5, build date 2010.12.20
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=881542
I can not believe that this doesn't fall under development, but trying to figure out how to bypass T-mobiles data throttle can stay in the DEV area.
We are trying to find out what is missing from EVERY Rom that would allow everyone with a Car Dock to use a feature that was supposed to have been enabled with 2.2 (froyo)
Thanks MOD
Hi guys,
Is anyone having trouble with the GS2 HDMI cable? I just bought one and when I connect it to the TV it says "connecting" and then "no signal". I know one end is the HDMI out, the other is the USB in and the side one is the usb power feed. I´ve tried the power feed by connecting it to the tv and also tried connecting it to the GS2´s usb power charger....both times no luck. If you click on "sources" the HDMI port shows up as active but there is no signal. I´ve tried in 2 different TVs and the same happens on both.
Is there something I have to activate on the phone?
I´m on 4.0.3 - baseband I9100XXIk4 - build Illusion-ICS v1.01 XXI.PB-I9100
I´ve tested with a stock GS2 and it worked...got some static and "no signal" at some point, but overall it worked. Too bad it won´t work on my ICS

Are you sure HDMI-out works on this ROM? Check the ROM thread.

I don´t think it does. I´ll wait for the official Samsung ICS release.
Same problem with HDMI out
I have the same problem after upgrading to the official 4.0.3. Did you get it to work?
Sadly not. I guess when the official ICS comes out this will be fixed.
I have the LP7 ICS ROM and HDMI works fine. I have the Internation version of the SGSII and using Samsung's HDMI Adapter and it is powered from the mains power supply.
SO there is not a problem with ICS compared to GB.
I'm using this ROM GT-I9100_WanamLite.DXLP7.Deodexed.Stock.NO-WIPE & HDMI works perfect. It is a Samsung based ICS ROM.

erm yes?
It is just this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1544487 but Deodexed so I can have themes & stuff.
yeah, I have the same issue
I have a connection issue with my Scala Rider G4 motorcycle headset and the SGS2 running ICS. I run Task's AOKP ROM, however I have tried other ROMs and also the leak. I flashed back to an old Nandroid of shostock 1.9.4 Gingerbread and the issue is gone. I assume the incompatibility has to do with ICS bluetooth stacks VS Gingerbreak. I am not sure if resolves lies in the hands of Scala Rider or Sammy.
Is it possible to revert to Gingerbread bluetooth stacks while running on ICS?
Thanks.
There is a thread in the general section about bluetooth issues.

Thanks, however they do not address the possibility of returning to GB Bluetooth stacks. My issue is not sleep or deep sleep related. I have contacted the manufacturer and apparently it's an issue with all of ICS. They are working of a firmware patch.
I was running CM9 nightlies, which worked great. Then I flashed back to an official ROM and updated to the official ICS. Now I'm getting frequent disconnects when listening to music via bluetooth audio (bluetooth speaker dock, in-car bluetooth, etc). I never once had this issue with CM9 nightlies.
Anyone else experience similar issues?

I am too. Never had a problem with Gingerbread but just upgraded to the official ICS and it's freaking annoying.
I'll probably be switching back to CM9 nightlies. Even in its pre-beta state, it seems far more reliable than the official ICS ROM.
I do really like Samsung's music player app, though. I only wish I could install that on CM9 somehow.
If you are having BT disconnects on ICS,
Try plugging in the charger while testing it. The phone won't enter deep sleep while charging.
Some of the BT devices are not playing well with ICS.
My BT under ICS is about the same as under GB (all stock) except that my headset pause/play button no longer works under ICS.

Well, CM9 is ICS and I had no issues with my BT devices. It's something unique to the official ROM.
Maybe there's a way to modify the BT/sleep behavior on the official ROM, but at that point why not just use a custom ROM that works better?

I started having trouble with BT disconnects a few months back when I began testing Shostock2 and AOKP custom roms. I think custom roms are great, I just prefer Shostock2.
The charging cable plugged in work around will be my best suggestion for non-rooted ICS with BT disconnect issues.
My thread on this is:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1609686
I'm still using Tasker to avoid the problem.
Probably something changed in the BT software somewhere...
I'm getting high voltage warnings with the stock ics and once the battery passes 35 percent it drains quickly. If I plug it to charge the phone just gets hot I have to restart to get it to charge

I installed the F1 Galaxy Nexus ROM (ICS 4.0.4) and never had any problems with Bluetooth disconnects. So hopefully it's fixed now. I'm dl'ing the latest ShoStock 4.0.4 and will see if it's fixed as well.
Hi,
We Samsung Captivate Glide users recently got a leak for ICS. However the keyboard backlight is not working...it might be missing from the kernel. Is there any way to put that in?
