What should we use. I get my 3d tomorrow and what should I back my apps with
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA Premium App
I use MyBackup Pro.
if i backed up with titanium, but no longer have an evo, is there any way to move the app data into the correct folders, either through an app or manually?
in the OP case, i'd second mybackup, 30 day free trial, so that should give you plenty of time to do the transfer.
As suggested by ariel in the irc channel i got mybackup installed on my evo4G and used it to backup my apps....
I then put that sd card from my E4G into the E3D and tried to restore.... it forces u to purchase the pro app to restore apps to a different device.
After i purchased the pro, it worked flawless.
Hope this helps

How do you reinstall purchased apps when you upgrade your phone?
I'm just thinking about the new 2.3.3 upgrade I will lose all my applications how do I reinstall my paid apps without having to pay for them again?
Sent from my X10a using XDA App
They can just be reinstalled after you upgrade.
Or if your phone is rooted use titanium backup from market.

How does the market know I paid for them. By using my email address?!
Sent from my X10a using XDA App
Yes. I constantly update roms and reinstall paid apps all the time. If you paid for them it will be logged into your market history. You can also log in at market.android.com on a PC/Mac and view or install apps directly from your computer. It's all the non paid apps you will lose! Back them up with titanium backup and you should be good.
You won't lose the unpaid apps the market.android.com will show them but any apps that are sideloader will not be shown and apps that SE doesn't want you to have will not be shown. Also apps you carrier doesn't like will be be not found.
So if you have stuff like game emulators or tether apps you will need a app backup application. If you downloaded stuff from Amazon you may have to call them to get the app reloaded to your phone..

TB is your best bet, but know that some apps are not cross ROM compatible. most paid apps will be.

Ya I know but all the good stuff is in the pro Version though. Frost time that am planning to use one have gotten addicted to flashing an trying new roms just hate reinstalling all my important apps. Such a pain.

The important stuff is free in titanium, but the pro version adds enough goodies to be worth it.

Go backup is quite the beast. I would still use tibu for uninstalling system apps but go backup does everything tjbu does in a cleaner way

Not exactly sure what you mean by cleaner, tb works amazing, I only use go backup for non app things.
To the op, next time when looking for an app please post in the themes and apps section.

Titanium was great
Upon restoring you have to choose to install each app during the process but that's fine, a lot faster than installing from Market ^^
Titanium backup, choose backup my apps ,and then "tick" app only from menu and press GO!!

And I will once I get my darned sms/mms app working again so I can fiddle with the phone.
But I will try out TWR first. I can see ppl saying it is very much faster.
I would be surprised if this wasn't already created but has anyone thought of a App that would work with google plays application list to install multiple apps at once? I think this would be Genius especially for those that fresh install a ROM every 3-4 updates. I find myself spending about an hour just installing all of my applications again.
I use titanium backup for that
Sent from my Samsung-SGH-I717 using xda app-developers app
Does it backup the data to the SD card? Because if you wipe everything on the phone, essentilay the app data from titanium would get removed as well and then your screwed again ahhaa
