I have been trying to update my 3D to the newest version since yesterday but the update downloads painfully slow and eventually stalls. I left it overnight and it had only reached about 3.5MB downloaded after 7 hours. My WiFi lets me download at about 2MB/s, so I have no idea why it's being so slow. Maybe it's on htc's end? Anybody else having this problem or have any places I could download it on my pc to flash via the official recovery?
I finally decided to do the update and I'm having the same problem. Did you ever find a fix.

German o2 Flyer - routed + S-OFF
I went back to stock
RUU_Flyer_O2_DE_1.40.207.5_Radio_20.35.30.089BU_38 09.04.04.21_M_release
But the OTA 2.27.207.1 (Android 2.3.4) never appeared. (I only used WIFI cause i wont be able to use gsm/3g connection the next days)
Waited a wole day + rebooted...
manually trying to update its telling me, I have the latest version.
What am I doing wrong? (Or isnt it working over WIFI only - will get GSM/3G monday again)
Or could somebody please upload the OTA File?
Or maybe the complete new ROM
I need this, cause I want to check if some FCs are rom related or App problems
Any suggestions?
Or can somebody upload the latest OTA
Or maybe even the whole new RUU
Thank you
wait i guess. HTC doesn't want anything to do with the Flyer, so they're holding off on updates..
I wiped... reinstalled...
only the H-Boot ond S-OFF are left.
still Not getting an ota update

wait a minute... i dont even get to the Part with the download notification.
Have read about the problems, but seems most of the guys managed to get it working after several reboots... so I'm gonna risk it,too.
have you been connected to WiFi or 3g?
I have only WIFI. my SIM card is expired, so I'm not gonna renew for a while !
So i'm trying to run the 3.16 update and everytime i download it it says the update is corrupt would you like to try again? Trying again and its the same results over and over. I'm on a stable wifi connection. I googled the issue and the only thing i could find was toggling the wifi setting of DLNA auto-IP as a fix but it didn't work for me. Anyone else have any trouble with updating or know of a fix?

Relocked (previously stuck at 3.15 with bad radios from ruu issues, has since been solved)
Bro do yourself a favor and get S-OFF and you will NEVER have to take another OTA
i've done all that stuff before. I got sick of having a phone that only functions at 90% because gps is not working on this rom or lte isn't working on that rom. No offense to anyone here but i just don't think the process of loading custom roms is worth the risk especially when i only have one phone and essentially only use the wifi tether feature. i just want to know if theres any fix to obtain this update.
Hi guys, I never had this problem before I flashed GPE. I'm a new XZU user. I unlocked my bootloader, rooted and installed dual recovery for the hopes of flashing GPE on XZU. I managed to flashed GPE rom in my XZU and everything seems to be fine. Except that my download speed is very slow using google chrome and playstore when using wifi! I haven't tried any other browsers yet. I can't even finish a download in google chrome. when it reaches 90% it cancels. I came from .136 firmware and flashed it. I know that the instructions in the GPE thread is to downgrade first to .290 but I read other users saying that it is ok if u flash it from .136. Guys have you experienced this issue before or should I wait it out? :crying:
**edit**
I can't even connect through my mobile connection now. I just need to know if I should wait this out.
Open the dialer and press *#06#. What do you see? A lot of numbers or zeros?
Background:
I was previously rooted and even after disabling root I could not do the OTA (it kept giving me a status error 7). After researching I decided to use ODIN to try and restore to a stock ROM for the upgrade.
I initially tried to use CI605_I605VRLJB_I605VRALJB_CL414933_HWID04_HW_Rev0406_low_ship_user as the firmware, but it caused my device to go into a firmware upgrade error.
I then used I605VRUEMJ9_I605VZWEMJ9_I605VRUEMJ9_HOME which got me back to stock 4.2, I OTA'd to 4.3, and using a previously downloaded OTA copy of 4.4.2 I booted into recovery mode and manually installed the OTA.
The Problem:
Since going to 4.4.2 (and I noticed it in 4.3) the Google Play store seems to load EXTREMELY slowly. I have Frontier FiOS and speed testing the connection shows a minimum of 25/11.36 Mbps for my connection. 4G does not appear to work so well either.
Could I have messed something up? I do not know why my stuff is working so slowly...
I was running a custom L ROM until recently... Switched to testing some custom M ROMs... went well, then decided to go stock M. I used a TWRP backup someone posted for the initial upgrade. It completed, and was a laggy mess. I ran that way for three days. No updates.
fast forward to now...
last weekend I flashed full, proper stock M ROM (the DLOAD folder trick)
Within 30 minutes of first boot, I got an OTA- Cust something or other update
I accepted it.
Now, I see a new section in About Phone- it's labeled Custom version
What the heck is this?

I saw the cust update in my updater and thought it was the result of downloading a custom recovery. However, I downloaded the full firmware package from the Huawei site and extracted it. The documentation also referred to cust. It appears that this update was so minor that rather than change the version/build, they just added in the cust part. Weird. But I went ahead and accepted the update through updater, and it installed just fine without wiping my apps and data. I did revert to stock recovery and unrooted before I did so, of course.

Noticed anything different? Does it run any smoother? I had to go back to CM13 as it just seems like my phone starts to slow down after a few days on stock MM.

It's only been a day, but I'll say that there seems to be a slight improvement in battery life and memory utilization. Someone mentioned that this patch was supposed to improve the GPS performance but I haven't had a chance to test that. Speedwise, I haven't had any slowdown issues before or after the update. Then again, I'm coming from a 1st gen Moto E so by comparison anything else seems lightning fast. As long as they keep pumping out solid updates, I'm gonna stick with stock.

I got this cust update a few days ago and it seems to have fixed my GPS issues. Maps used to take forever to get a GPS fix and frequently lost the fix every few minutes. Now it gets a fix in seconds and I haven't had a dropout yet.
When I first installed the update, the internal storage was showing up as 2GB. Couldn't figure out why so I just did a factory reset and everything is back to normal (internal storage reporting as 16GB), and the GPS still works well after the reset.
