Using the aptly named "Keyboard from Gingerbread" paid version and it works perfectly

Tried it but the keys seem smaller. Maybe it's not optimized for the phone yet!?

I'm using it on the mini pro, i'm sure it will work fine on the mini as well

yeah i am i have the english/spanish swype keyboard, using it in spanish.

Since there is no swype keyboard on the cm7 mod , i wanted to knw wich other good keyboards r available preferably swype ones or any other becuz i dun really like the android keyboard in cm7
as for keyboards i'm using swift key, it's not free, but i REALLY like it

download the beta version of swype. its free
Smart keyboard if you're a T9 fan. I type blazingly fast with it.
Else, boring curve typing with swype beta or touchpal curve...

I installed swype using its apk but after i select swype keyboard from settings , wenevr i choose swype keyboard while messaging it force closes saying
" The application Swype (process com.swype.android.inputmethod) has stopped unexpectedly. Please Try Again "
Same happened with Ultra Keyboard also... What to do now... I hate tht standrd android keyboard n mistyp a lot in tht..

Why don't you just simply download and install the latest beta from official swype site. Its way better than which came with stock.Don't be so lazy.

Dissapointed.
Well IMHO I think it is awesome. The syncing works great. Can't figure out how to swipe between tabs like on the phone version though. Text entry into open fields is much better than stock. Also a neat feature when a bunch of links are close together this magnified pop up window opens to let you choose. See the screenshot attached.
Start with your finger on the bezel, and swipe onto the screen. If you have multiple tabs open you will notice it highlights a certain tab depending how much you go left or right.
It's pretty sensitive so it's easy to miss what it's doing at first.
I dont mind it so far. I like that it is reminiscent of the desktop version.
Bookmark pages could be more attractive.

Someone posted the keyboard app earlier and I've been using it all day. I love the new swipe feature. I uninstalled the previous keyboard, and I haven't had any problems with the new one yet.

Hello All,
I have rooted my GN2 and loaded the ROM Toolbox from the play store. I have set the ro.sf.lcd_density to 240 and everything works great except the dialer and mail program (not gmail) The screen does not look correct even though the dialer buttons function correctly.
I have used the Paranoid Android Rom on my old galaxy note and it had per app resolution. Is there a way to edit the dialer and mail to make it look correct.

Interested to know about this as well, as I'd like to adjust my density. Have you tried 241? Does it help any? I heard the camera is off too @ 240.

Right. Using SwiftKey myself, find it's helpful with the predicition and stylus to type. Just as a fast.
