So any problems with the Evo 3D can't wait till I upgrade in may

You cant wait until you upgrade in MAY? Unfortunately, by the time May gets here there will have been at least 2-3 more newer, faster and better phones to come along.
For now the 3VO is the top dog...

Only gripe is that there are like 50 threads on a developer forum with people pissing and moaning about every little issue they have.
Other than that...none.

Your not the only one but obviously part of the group..it bothers me that people feel the need to post comments on a thread just to.diss the name people call a phone..who cares..I call it whatever i want..u do the same..add something to the thread instead...I've seen a lot of these posts and i think It's juvenile..
anyways I don't really have any complaints..I believe we still haven't seen the true potential of the phone yet..people think the e3d isn't faster than the og but i think the difference will become more apparent in the future .
Define "problems". I've noticed some hardware issues (yellowed screens on three of them that I've seen so far). My friend who has the other one on my plan has the yellowing issue and his phone reboots at random, but the guys at the Sprint store will replace it no problem.
Aside from that, which is easily fixed by visiting the store, my only problems would be with Sense 3.0. It introduces some nice features but honestly, I just think the stock Android interface looks and feels better. That's just my opinion. I am waiting for a CM7 port or some other interesting custom ROMs.
P.S. Almost forgot, the camera gets kinda buggy in certain light settings. It is the auto white balance issue, makes some of your pictures look green. That seems to be a software issue though, so not a big deal. Someone making a custom ROM should be able to fix that. Or maybe HTC will quit dragging their bums and learn to code and test.
All in all I'd give it an 8/10.
this phone has a lot of bugs. camera is really bad, esp in low and high light. the screen becomes unresponsive in spots at times. apps force close a lot. the outside speaker is really low, even after adding volume+.
if the Photon was unlocked i'd trade my evo 3d in on it. for now i'm thinking about selling my 3d and going back to original evo.
oh yeah, signal on this phone is the pits as well.
It aight, its adequate until the next super phone comes out this winter.
I've had mine for a few days now. Keeps freezing where the only way to fix it is to pull out the battery. Has randomly reset on me a few times too.
Are these common problems? I might as well take it back and get a new one.

not me no chance
My biggest gripes with the EVO 3D are:
The 3D camera not allowing me to take photos while the phone is in portrait view. I can't say how many times in the past three days I've been trying to compose some interesting shot of a object in 3D, only to have the camera deny taking the shot simply because the gyro is telling it it's upright. <grrr>
Can't wake the phone up straight into the camera app by pressing the shutter button (or holding it for that matter).
Umm... that's about it. So far at least.

What's wrong will calling it a "3VO"? It's 733T yo!
I'll admit, I've called it that. It's lazy, because "EVO 3D" has 3 more characters to type.

Ya, I think he's getting slow in his old age. Lol Good to see so many familiar names. Really happy with the Mopho. Running Alien rom. Running sweet so far.
Loved my Epic, But... My MoPho is amazing... Not to mention, I was getting harassed by my co-workers about my Samsung, due to the fact I work for Motorola Solutions...
been rockin' my MoPho for a couple days now.. battery life is STELLAR.. the screen is too bright sometimes.. not bright enough others..
it's stupid fast compared to the epic on EXT4.. but.. (to be fair) once the GS2 comes out, I might toss the Photon .. depends on how well i like the GS2.. lol

I'm really loving my Photon, and I really didn't have many complaints about my Epic. I really didn't use the keyboard at all. My battery life is far superior top the Epic, which I attribute to its stronger radio. I work on the service floor of a hospital and my Epic was constantly searching for signal in certain areas where I now maintain a solid signal throughout the day. My only complaint its that I daily experience the "silent call" issue. I read that removing the SIM card helps some folks, so I'm trying that.

I didn't come from an Epic but I did remove that sim card. Since then, haven't had NOT one issue.
I also upgraded from the Epic to the Photon, and I think the Photon is way better than the Epic..and faster. My Epic was getting laggy, and over heating whenever I was charging it. So far I am really enjoying the Photon.
Well to be honest with you I have become bored with the Photon and might go back to my Epic. The things I miss the most with my Epic is having to always keep a spare battery in my pocket, waiting for the phone to figure out where I am so I can check into Foursquare, the time spent searching and waiting for Gingerbread, and waiting for the camera to respond among other things. Without all of this, my life with my Photon seems so boring and I'm having trouble finding what to do with the extra time. It's been very hard to adjust to not having those features like I did on the Epic.

ZING!
TBH I dont have that many issues on my Epic while on a stock-like ROM. Still waiting for official GB like everyone else though...
My mother needs a new phone so I am sending her my Epic while I upgrade...
One of the issues I have not yet seen info on (I'm still searching) is whether or not Motorola has decided to start following the microUSB standards yet or am I going to have to double up on 5 USB chargers that I keep anywhere I might need to use my phone...
Other than that most of the issues I have seen are pretty much software related and the phone looks great. I think I'm still going to go ahead with the Photon rather than the Evo3d.
Yes it has a micro port.

Every phone will have a micro usb. Its been standardized now. No phone that comes out will use a different charger. This was passed awhile ago to cut down on the amount of charging cables and such in landfills among other reasons
Sent from my MB855 using XDA App
Aye, i know they have been standardizing them, but I know Moto was still being different. After talking it over with my Sprint guy today as I was ordering my phone.. I came to the conclusion that this was likely only an issue with the MINI-usb plugs. There were specific warnings on the websites I use to order my parts against mixing Moto and any other usb cables. As I understand it they had a couple wires reversed in those, and it seems they are getting with the program now and standardizing with the rest of the world.
In 2 days I will officially be a former Epic owner..
It would be today but they didnt know how to put the phone on my bill and have me walk out with one like they did with my Epic.
I had an Epic for a bit, but ended up going back to the Evo. I had better luck out of the Vibrant than the Epic. Photon is light years better though lol.

First of all, I baby all of my gadgets like no other lol.
We got in a huge fight after a super extended happy hour and my phone went flying through a 1/4' thick glass vase, embedding itself into the wall. Never knew she could ninja star a phone that well.
Anyway I realized at that point that these phones are beasts! The bottom whole right side of the "chasis" shifted up a bit to the top. Bottom right corner is bent. Chip in the metal dead center at the top and a TINY nick in the gorilla glass.
So now the right side of the bezel doesnt sit flush with the screen anymore and that is about it.
I am super impressed by the strength of these bad boys. I was more upset that this is a launch day phone with hboot 1.4(not taking it to sprint to ruin my unicorn). In the end all is well and she will be paying for my Gnex when it comes out(when ever it does lol).

I agree. Substance abuse. Violent outburst. Making excuses for inappropriate behavior. I am going to guess trust issues somewhere in the mix too.
These things never get better. I had a girlfriend like this once. After she got done beating me up, I got slapped with a VPO a couple months later. Apparently I was now stalking her... While the charges were dismissed with prejudice, I had to hire an attorney to motion for them to be expunged.
When I made her leave I wasn't there for her getting her things. She stole the batteries out of everything electronic. All the clothes hangers. Probably $200 worth of toilet paper, paper towels and laundry soap. Put some kind of plant that she called "our love fern" (it was bamboo :wtf: ) down the garbage disposal. Also she crushed up a box of Pop-tarts in the non-disposal side of my kitchen sink. The sick ***** even took the ice cube trays.
I personally couldn't give a **** less about your phone or how much you baby your electronics. Kudos that it still works, but the phone is only a few hundred dollars to replace. Move on before it gets worse...and more expensive.

After only owning this phone I hated it, I'm on it too much .I use over 1.3gb on 3g and I cant stop looking at YouTube videos, want to know more and more about it by Googling ... For real tho I'm happy with this phone and is the best decision I made since the OG evo... Gs3 is about to come out and even tho I don't have it I don't feel like I need too , a lot people is trying to return their phone cause another is coming out... But what they don't realize is that no phone is perfect nerve will, if you feel like the phone is not good enough then why get it in the first place , we all have 2 weeks to try it out and not fill up the xda board with complaints and complaints , I believe thus is a keeper for me

I'm going to have to agree with the OP. I have the same problem. I can't put the thing down. The screen is very nice and vibrant. I even put Fast Five on it the other day and have watched it about 3 times with the beautiful 720p screen and Beats audio using my Skullcandy 50/50s. There are people out there who are truly disappointed in the phone, and that can be their opinion. This should be the EVO 4G LTE lover's thread.
I too can't put the thing down. Screen is beautiful.
ok I agree totally. I mean I was glued to my old Epic but the screen on this thing is so sharp I actually started to read books on it.
my buddy is waiting for the gs3 but I think the screen on this phone is the top selling point.
I'm typing this while watching the video from Conan. Doesn't get much better for me. I agree 100%. We always want more, so the issue is accepting what we have and not getting upset at what we don't. I'm making a stand against my ego and accepting this device as what I need and adjusting to it. This thing is awesome as is and any shortcomings are way better than the razor I had just a few years ago. And the support from this community will only unlock more of its potential for us.

Something I want to add:
I am extremely anal about dead pixels. Not because I expect a display to be 'perfect' but because of my personal ocd issues. They bug the hell out of me. I had one on my Evo3D and it annoyed me EVERY time I turned it on.
On this phone I have a dead on at the top and then two stuck ones. I don't notice them. Unless I get half an inch away from the screen I don't even know they're there. That's how awesome the screen is. You simply can't tell pixels apart from your normal viewing distance. Hell I could probably have more dead pixels and not know it. You even might. The thing is, the only way you'll know is if you get extremely upclose, turn the brightness all the way up and search pixel by pixel.
That's the only "con" I have against this device and as you can see it isn't even a con. Hands down the best piece of hardware I've ever owned.

Yes serious. Radio in this is a joke. My og epic's data is way faster on 3g in the same areas as where I'm using this and sense really sucks. Non removable battery, you have to download programs just to access the internal storage what a joke. If your not tech savvy then yeah this phone is for you but a die hard Samsung is the only the way.

HTC build quality is always lacking. HTC light bleed, flash leaking, squeaky chassis (remedied with a piece of microfibre behind the battery
HTC seems to get so close to greatness, but misses the target. Light bleed, cover that does not fit as tightly as it should and creaks, weak wifi. Don't get me wrong I love my Amaze, it's a far better device than the S2, just wish HTC would hit one out of the park.

Maybe I got lucky, but I don't think so, I ordered mine first day they went on sale Oct 10/11 - I have had No creaky case/hardware issues whatsoever, even with a "battery cover replacement" this year, still as solid as when brand new, the additional cover is just as solid as the original.
I think the Amaze is easier to open than my MT4G was.
