I'm getting constant FC's from important apps because I don't know whats safe to keep or remove. It would be nice if someone compiled a list of bloatware that can be removed without the phone going haywire.

I've noticed here lately that a lot of process have been running on my phone. I use atk to kill them but they keep coming back up and bogging down my phone. Any ideas as to how to with stop these processes from running would be great thanks.
Best way is the most obvious one: uninstall everything you don't really need... sometimes people tend to keep apps thinking "I might need it someday", but then why not install it when you need it, later?
Software solution: Startup Auditor. It let's you disable what's started at boot time AND - and this is really cool - it offers you the choice to suppress apps that tend to pop up later (due to system event triggers such as turning on/off wi-fi) from ever starting.
I was curious, does anyone know what stock apps on the EVO 3D can be removed safely?
And for that matter, is does anyone know if any of the Rogers apps that come pre-installed on the Rogers version of the phone are tied to the phone's functionality (and thus can't be removed)? One I really want to get rid of is "Wi-Fi Calling", but freezing it in Titanium doesn't seem to have any effect.
I've started freezing apps now that I have Titanium installed and working, but figured someone may have already gone through the process of removing useless stock apps.

here is a decent post on which apps are safe to remove although its probably geared towards the sprint version, i'm sure there will be some overlap. hope that makes a decent starting point!

Got a question.
When you freeze apps, all you do is add '_fro' at the end of a file.
e.g. 'Gallery.apk' will become 'Gallery.apk_fro' when frozen.
My question is that when you freeze an app, does the system still load it? Or will my phone be faster if I totally remove the .apk?
Thanks!
Freezing will help your system because the frozen app will not launch, however it will still be present in your system which means it will still take the memory in the rom. So freezing apps is the first thing you need to do before deciding to completely remove or uninstall such app.

I'm going to try to keep this post updated, as long as useful info arrives to help others know what to do!
Do we have a list of apps that can be frozen using TB or similar? I'm not sure if TB is working to freeze apps, it does backup, says it freezes them but when I select filters/frozen there is only one app listed.
This ISN'T my Transformer Prime
Backing up an app only backs it up - it doesn't freeze it, uninstall it, or anything else. To freeze an app, long press the app and choose freeze. Be careful what you freeze - if you're going to freeze a system app, definitely make a nandroid first!
you might want to research more as we already have threads on this fully matured already.
like the other guy said, beware of what you freeze. but honestly, no need to freeze anything. the apps that come with prime can hardly be called bloatware. this isn't like a phone where the carrier loads it with b.s. I still have all stocks apps in ly prime and its super fast n smooth. even more so than my Ipad. freezing or deleting system apps n stock apps always lead to problems. Always! especially with OTA updates. it always break ability to receive over the air updates. so don't fall into the trap like many others who blindly rooted then started deleting and freezing this and that and fun into major problems. patience is key into learning exactly what you doing and the effects it could have on your device.
I see too many people blindly root or unlock device then brick it and wonder why..lmfao then come in here screaming for help. then get scolded on fact that they didn't research first. good luck!
Most of the preinstalled apps can also be disabled with the standard app manager. This should prevent any conflicts with future OTAs.
I have this phone and planning to freeze bloatware to begin with. Problem I'm getting is I don't really know which ones to freeze and which ones I shouldn't
I have TitaniumBackup. It doesn't highlight any of the 'critical' system apps which could rekh the phone. Only one I know I shouldn't disable is the "TouchWiz". There are bunch of 'applications' names in the 'system apps'. some are listed without an icon and just like "com.xxxxxx.xxxx". I don't know if these are safe to disable or not.
Anyone know an app which highlights the critical ones? I don't want to disable like the GSM or Display of the phone via Titanium Backup
Will be following this thread to remove data from.

I'm on stock ROM because I value high battery life and camera performance over gaming performance etc.

Be careful what you disable as most apps on tw devices are reliant on each other.
I disabled a load of them and nearly borked my phone. After a while it got slower and slower.
Hangouts and chaton plug into the system messager, they can be disabled. Apps that plug in to system apps can be disabled safely without fear of killing it just dont disable actual system stuff. Eg Disabling google play services will save you battery but will cause issues with apps and games. You will be disabling very little on tw devices!.
As for camera. The stock app is sh** so use a 3rd party app. Dont disable the stock camera app as system needs it for diagnostics should you ever need to test your device using the factory test app (mmi code).
Basically, go slowly starting with apps that you never use. Disable instead of delete as if you have issues you can restore easily.
