[Request] My Verizon - Motorola Droid X2

My Verizon was updated today to version 10.0.3 breaking the version that we used to use for the Thunderbolt. Can someone with a rooted phone snag the installation file out of their data/app folder for me after downloading the update? Thanks! Much appreciated.

How to root Gingerbread?

For those of is who are unable to sbf back to stock. Does gingerbreak work on ota Gingerbread or is there another app?
Sent from my DROID X2 using XDA Premium App
No way to root gingerbread as off yet but as far as sbf back to stock its no problem even if already on, unrooted gingerbread. Just read the tutorials. From there you apply patched gingerbread update from p3droid to have rooted gingerbread, all instructions are in forum.

No, need to sbf back to stock froyo then root with gingerbreak 1.2 , install the system recovery app. Then apply update in the system recovery after booting into its tells you how to when you open app. Make sure rename p3droids patched update to just " update.zip" and place its on root off sdcard. Go to development forum if need the instructions all there. The patched update is at "my droid world.com " everything else you need is in this forum somewhere. Just to let you know I also was on ota gingerbread was able to sbf and update to rooted, alot off us were but its all works easy.

How do I unroot with newest software installed?

Hey guys, so I purchased my Razr Maxx locally from a guy who has it stock rooted. I currently have the latest 6.12.181 software on there with Android 2.3.6.
With that being said, I would like to unroot the phone to start fresh and I may be sending my phone in for repairs. Can someone please direct me to a tutorial (video or website) that will show me how to do this?
I found this site: http://droidrazrroot.com/droid-razr-unroot/how-to-unrootunbrick-your-rooted-droid-razr-back-to-android-2-3-66-12-173/
But that site is to go back to 6.12.173 which is the older version. Do I follow those steps but with a different file?
Sorry if I sound noobish, but I have never had a Motorola phone before or done any rooting (or unrooting) with one.
Thanks!
You can go to earlier update and it will update to the latest once up and running.

[Q] Trying to install Eclipse

Had 2.3.5 .418 originally. sbf'd down to 2.3.4 .380. Rooted using Zergush cause cudnt find a working link for Petes one click method. So now i want to install eclipse, i tried to flash back to 2.3.5 .418, but since Zergush deleted google maps, the flash failed. Installed google maps & it still failed. What are my options?
Your best bet would be to sbf back to 2.3.4. Then update to 2.3.5. Then root using the magic md5 method. Flash Eclipse and enjoy.

I was hoping there was some kind of easy fix like remove the battery, make a wish, put it back, & there ya go. Thanks.
Well you could try that! Not sure how effective it would be, but it's worth a shot.

Or skip the extra step and just sbf to 2.3.5

Yes, there's a thread for it somewhere around here, personally I would either try the dual boot option, or wait for the official ota, judging by the accidental leak I would assume they are working hard to push the official soon.

I can confirm this works with the OFFICIAL 4.1.2 release (not the December 24th one). Also, I didn't do a FDR. I DID enable the stock apps I disabled though. Also, when you unzip the root exploit zip file, do not rename the folder it creates. I kept running into an issue of it not working, until i just unzipped and ran the .bat file. It worked smooth after that. I was running .211 when I installed the OTA final update today, to clarify.
