I have lcd density installed and have set it to 220, which is below the default 240. After applying the settings and the phone reboots, my notification led turns green and stays on even when I lock the screen. When the screen is locked the led light is dim and when it is unlocked it brightens back up. If I reboot the phone or I reset the density back to default from the app, it goes away. Why is my phone doing this? Does anybody know why it does this? Is this really because of lcd density??? any and all responses will be greatly appreciated!
TIA

I had the same problem, haven't messed with density but it just seems random.

I would believe it was random but the only time I have this issue is when I change the density and as soon as I apply the default thru the app it goes away or if I reboot the phone... I think whats happening is that the sdcard, both internal and external, are not being unmounted and remounted properly in the reboot process from the app... Thanks tho...
Seems if I just wait for more than 30 seconds( Figuratively ) the notification led goes away....
I get this all the time its quite annoying

All you have to do is wait for about 2 to 3 minutes and it goes away.... I have seen it take longer at different settings... I am running it at 200 now... At 210 and 220 it seems like it took longer to go away...
That also happened to me so I downloaded droid overclock and there is a Lcd density changer inside that app and it works great. Maybe you can give that a try
Sent from my DROID X2 using XDA Premium App
Do you have to reset the density after every reboot or not? Because if you dont that would be awesome!!!
Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk
On the Droid Overclock app, you just have to set it once and your good to go. I done multiple restarts and the Lcd density does not change until you change it inside the application. Hope that helps.

I don't know which version of Droid Overclock you have but i have version 2.1.2. Inside the app, i went to extras, build properties, and then LCD density. If you need version 2.1.7, its the link below. Its the first link.

I'm having an issue selecting wallopers on my vibrant. I flashes the bionic rom and everything is working very well with the exception on the lock screen image remaining different from my normal wallpaper.
My lock screen has the default tree silhouette with the moon while my unlocked home screen has an image from my gallery. If I try and set the home screen to use a standard tw wallpaper, it just reverts back to my gallery image that I had set before. One thing I can do though, is set a live wallpaper with no issue... Odd.
Anyone have any ideas as to what might be happening?
I was having the same issue until I rebooted.

Turns out that I needed to use the normal shutdown option via android. Quickboot restart was screwing me up somehow.
All is good now though. =)
Thanks for your input!

I had the same issure with eugenes hybrid.. It went away somehow though. I may have rebooted.
As the title says my GFs 10.1 will go full brightness at random times. Only way to change it back is to go into setting. The slider is all the way down but have to slide it to full then back down. Any ideas guys?
The fix is: Go TO SETTINGS, SCREEN, AUTO ADJUST SCREEN POWER, UNCHECK. Thanks bd85!

I have had this issue as well when using auto brightness function. Only when viewing photo albums. Very annoying. I no longer use the auto brightness function now. Little issues like this drive me crazy. Add this to the keyboard lag and other small issues and i start to question the purchase.
Thankfully i found this site to help me realize its not just me...misery loves company. Lol.
Have you guys tried to shut off the option in setting that's can analyze the screen color and more and the adjust the screen for power savings.
I have noticed what you are mention. And it only appears in movie's because the picture change often so the tab tried to compensate the colors often.
Go TO SETTINGS, SCREEN, AUTO ADJUST SCREEN POWER, UNCHECK.
And I am not talking about the auto brightness that you can access from clicking on the lower right part of your screen

That seemed to be it. Didn't think to check that since the Xoom doesn't have that setting. One thing i wish the xoom had was the whole different wallpaper for lock screen thing the 10.1 has.
I haven't had much luck searching/googling so I thought I'd ask. Is there any way I can set the value that the phone's proximity sensor will read? I'll try to explain.
My phone has the issue where the screen turns black after I receive a call. The only ways to get access to the phone again are to either plug it in to wake up the screen or pull the battery. I added a line to my build.prop file (gsm.proximity.enable=false), but otherwise I haven't touched anything to do with my proximity sensor. Obviously that command didn't work. I've also tried having "keep screen awake" checked, and "always use proximity" unchecked.
Anyways, when I run AndroSensor app, it tells me my proximity sensor reads "1.2 in". I was wondering what would happen if I could force that value to be 12 inches instead? I'd rather my screen perpetually stay on during a call than what's happening now.
Is there a file I can edit that would make this possible? I didn't see any other lines in my build.prop that said "proximity" in them anywhere. Phone is rooted, currently running cm7 stable ba2tf. I have ghost finger issues that are really bad on any rom running faux123 kernel, yea my phone's quite the lemon. Replacing this year, but it needs to last a bit longer. Help!
http://rootzwiki.com/topic/2804-app-free-propmodder-by-n00bware-updated-11211/ here's a link for prop mod its from the developer on rootzwiki. It should help with the proximity value and with other tweaks.

I had high hopes when I installed this app but sadly it didn't work. I opened up the app and changed the proximity sensor delay to 0 and rebooted, called the phone from my house, still a black screen as soon as I slide the screen to answer. Went back and changed the value to "remove prop entirely" and rebooted. Same result.
Thanks tho

I used it on cm7 hybrid and works perfectly. What rom and you try to change the build prop with rom toolbox or another app of the like.

When I go to about phone I get:
Mod version
CyanogenMod-7.1.0-Ba2tF-Olympus
Build number
GWK74
Kernel version
2.6.32.39-MB860-CM7-g54722f1

What line(s) would I need to put in build.prop
How do I go about changing this? I know its possible.

and /sys/class/leds/button-backlight/device/leds/button-backlight
I can get them to be temporarily disabled but they come back on after I turn the screen off then on
screen filter app isn't working at all
I actually want to see if I can make them brighter. Mine seem very dim.
Do I decompile it?

You can echo to it with an app like gscript lite, and then make a shortcut to it if you want.
echo 255 > /sys/class/leds/button-backlight/device/leds/button-backlight/brightness
That should be max brightness, 0 would be off.
I used to do this on my OG Evo to turn off the capacitive button backlights. My LED notification light seems to get stuck On whenever I tried to turn off the backlights on this phone though. I don't remember under what circumstances, been a while since I tried it, might have been when unplugging from a charger, and only rebooting would fix it.

Ill try it now. Ill let you know.
But to keep it that way without running a script, I would have to decompile?

I'm getting fc issues with the gscript. It also said script failed when I had it working.

Hmm, gscript definitely worked for me, but then I also ran into the problem that NewZJ ran into anyway - they would come back on after waking the device. I was trying to disable them though, not make them brighter.
Also, I just looked at the file again and when they're on I think the brightness is set to 255 anyway. Maybe it is already set to max brightness by default when they're on.
I bought another s4 earlier this week, and noticed a strange occurrence. Every so often, on different apps, the screen will go to more of a red tone. I found by adjusting the brightness, I can make it go to this red tone. Of course, when I try to screen shot the red, it shows up normal in the gallery. Its kinda like the blue drops out of the color wheel and red gets boosted. Is the display bad or is there some weird setting that got messed with?

Do you have Settings > Display > Screen mode > Adapt Display checked? I believe stock is Standard. There's also Settings > Display > Auto adjust screen tone. Try playing with those and see if this effect you're seeing goes away.
Yeah, I tried playing with those first thing, but didn't seem to help. I could still force the red tone by adjusting brightness

Purchased new or used? If new, I might consider returning for a replacement.
Used, from cl. It only does it if I move the brightness, or set it to automatic. I dont know if its hardware or software related, so ive tried running the me7 deodexed rom (still on mdk) and the same issue is there.
