[Q] Frozen Eclair? - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

Hello,
I saw that on some androids 2.1 many people put the Dalvik Virtual Machine of froyo into eclair that boost the performance (+300 points in quadrant).
The steps that they do are:
Copy these files from froyo rom to eclair:
\system\bin
dalvikvm
dexopt
\system\lib
libc.so
libdl.so
libdvm.so
libm.so
libnativehelper.so
And then reboot.
I took these files from MiniCM6 but didn't work as i was specting.
It could be possible in mini?
Because i like the stock camera resolution and radio of the 2.1 rom, the minicm is so unstable for me.
Many thanks

i think you mean JiT
x10 minis do get a small boost from installing jit, but there is an easy way to do it. use the x10 flashtool and click optimize to automatically install it easily

For me the video is buggy and the function of view the latest photo -> Force Close. The stock se input on minicm have bugs too and the radio app.
Please don't do offtopic, this is for ask how to put the froyo vm in eclair not photos or camera's app's.

Developer Notes:
I ask developers for help to try out finding how to get the drivers for the non-working hardware parts to work. Simply said, you need to copy drivers from the SE 2.1 build to this build and report if it worked and which files were used.

Project on hold until progress on CM port and until I have more users supporting me, not in the form of donations but actual work.

when you are done with the 2.2 aosp couldnt you just upload the ported sense.apk in that thread so you can install it via root explorer or xrecovery or something?

Nope, sense is integrated deep into the system. It isn't just an apk, it's an entire framework and uses more than just one application (music player, contacts, image viewer, web browser, etc.)

oowkay.. i understand
i think this is the drivers for the touch: i cant upload it right now but if u can find them by yourself in the stock that would be good
/sys/bus/serio/
/system/etc/ts_fw_update.sh
/system/etc/firmware/cy8_truetouch_jtouch.hex
/system/etc/firmware/cy8_truetouch_tpk.hex
i read on another thread that it was those.

EGL folder didn't fix it either.
is /sys/ formatted too when formatting /system ?
If not serio won't fix it. I've included references in init.buzz.rc but still no good
/sys files are part of the kernel - you won't be able to pull or modify them.
Ah crap, sony decided to use another touchscreen in the Pro, that's why touch is working on the mini but not on the pro

[ROM] 2.2 FroYo7-A [15March2011]

This is built off of FreeX10 Beta 4, so you need to have a rooted 2.1 rom before flashing this. This was tested on .54 baseband, so this should work fine on .54 and .55 basebands.
Mods:
Launcher2 replaced with Launcher7 (free version, if you like it, buy the donate version in the market)
Framework mods
Host file
WolfBreak's camera fix applied
All apk's zipalligned
cmparts
Replaced Fonts
To install:
Back up apps using this method
Xrecovery, back up current rom
Xrecovery, factory wipe
Xrecovery, wipe cache
Xrecovery, advanced options, wipe dalvik cache
Xrecovery, advanced options, wipe battery stats
Xrecovery, flash custom zip, select FroYo7.A.svtfmook.zip
Xrecovery, flash gapps_freex10.zip
reboot
let it crash and reboot again
enjoy
Confirmed Working (for me atleast):
Camera (stock android, no zoom, vignette works great for more options)
Camcorder (stock android, 800x480 17-24fps)
GPS (may take a while to lock satellites, took about 3 minutes for me to lock 8 satellites)
GSM (you may have to manually enter your carrier's APN settings)
Wifi (remembers access points at reboot)
The stock camera app works, it's not the SEMCcamera, it's the android 2.2 camera (just to clear up some confusion on the camera working).
Thanks to:
wolfbreak, j, z, trip and all the other devs for their hard work making development possible on our x10's

Other Notes
I've had a few people ask how to backup and transfer data from 2.1 to 2.2.
*For angybirds scores, you can copy /data/data/com.rovio.angrybirds/files/highscores.lua to your sdcard and restore it after install to save your progress. Or just copy the com.rovio.andgrybirds folder and it will backup your settings as well.
*For SMS, i use GoSMS, which is an XDA-Developers app, so i will suggest using this app and supporting the XDA devs. it has an export/recover conversations to sdcard option which works good.
*For contacts, i sync mine to google, but for those who use the sonysync, GoContacts, which is the same developer as GoSMS, has an export to sdcard option. I have not tested it, but I will assume it works since the GoSMS works.
*For other apps, backing up the apps in the method described in the install procedures will just reinstall the apps, but not the data. app data with specific details can be found in /data/data. Back up the folder in /data/data that corresponds to the app you want to back your data up from, and that can be replaced to /data/data after flashing the new rom and resinstalling the app to restore your progress and data in that app. I will say that you should not use this method for google apps as it may not work right between 2.1 and 2.2 roms.
If you like this rom, buy me a beer

No matter how many times people ask this question the answer is not going to change until we have the drivers. The Stock camera is STILL not possible without the bootloader cracked or someone rewrites the drivers. From looking at the OP, this ROM is Free X10 Beta 4 with a Windows 7 theme and apps zip aligned.
However, the camera is working and there is a limited new fix for the camcorder, so all Froyo ROMs now have a functional camera/camcorder. Still no HD or zoom. Use viginette app for camera zoom and better functionality than the vanilla Froyo camera app.
Any recommended Baseband for this rom? I have the second most recent one.

Xrecovery with offline charging

NOTICE: This isn't my work. I've just followed this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=963162 to make it work on X8
All thanks goes to zdzihu for xrecovery and offline charging fix and to genyt and weissgold for their guide
For stock 2.1.1.A.0.6 firmware (don't work with custom roms):
Installation:
1. root phone
2. install Busybox
3. download xrecovery with offline charging.zip
4. extract archive to SD Card
5. with Root Explorer put extracted files to /system/bin
Or install latest xRecovery with FlashTool 0.2.8
For custom roms you also need the files in /system/etc/semc/chargemon/ from stock ROM.

Don't know where is problem. For me it runs ok

Yes it is weird. You don't need to install xrecovery it is preinstalled in floyo. You only need to put chargemon and charger to /system/bin and semc folder to /system/etc
yep...that was i'm doin' as your instructions...twice i try and unsucsessfull, the x recovery can't runs when i pressing the back button on booting...

Original SE X10 Mini Pro Camera app?

Hi There,
I'm searching after the Original SE Kamera!
Anybody an app for this or a APK File?
I hate all the other "apps" like Vignette or 360 Ultimate.
In Vignette i have no Shuttersound and other little things (too slow)
360 is not my favour.
Please help
THX!
why did you need this?
the camera on the 3.6 rom works perfect.
its more functionaly then the original ROM from SE!
Sorry for my bad english.
My Rom is [ROM] xCyanogenPro - Floyo - v3.6
And the Camapp in this Rom is.....mhhhh terrible
And! The Vignette App has the biggest Problem:
No Shutter sound
Settings will not be saved! Every time i restart i must change all! settings first (5MP, Superfine etc...)
All the non Original Apps have the same mistake.
I can't save the files ind the standart DCIM folder ;(
Now i search after the original Cam App because this is...smal....fast...make good pics....PERFECT

Ok i would try it...but i could realy install it
Mhhhh i open the Opera and my X10 makes a reboot....i think the rom is not realy bugfree
must i install the apk directly from the system/app folder?
I think that this app won't work with this rom without some modifications on that because this app was designed for SE framework and installing it on this rom may cause FC.
In the version 3.4, owain94 make a kind of adaptation on this app to work on that rom but it isn't working 100% good, with some random crashes.
I think this app is realy not functional...i installed it agaim with copy in the system/app folder but the same...
The album is very slow and not functional...

Thank does not just go to me but also to doixanh!! Please make sure to give him a thumbs up as well!!
We have managed to unload the kernel driver and patched a modded dual touch driver which can now be loaded.

UPDATED Version
Requirements:
rooted device
latest Kernel and Baseband M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404015
Here are a few instructions:
Download attached zip file
unzip (before)
Place on your SD card
goto any shell
type: "insmod /sdcard/cy8ctma300_ser.ko"
you will have dual touch enabled now
after a reboot you will lose dual touch if you have any troubles
If you want it to work properly you will have to edit your hw_config.sh and copy cy8ctma300_ser.ko to /system/lib/modules/
add the two lines before any other insmod at the bottom of hw_config.sh:
"insmod /system/lib/modules/cy8ctma300_ser.ko"
"sleep 1"
Also edit your build.prop and add the lines below:
ro.product.multi_touch_enabled=true
ro.product.max_num_touch=2
IF IT DOES NOT WORK AND YOU GET A FAILURE "file exists" WHILE INSMODDING PLEASE USE THIS FILE INSTEAD (SEEMS TO BE TWO DIFFERENT MINI PROS OUT THERE):
