I don't know if you use this application on your phone. But someone knows what happened? Why doesn't connect ? Servers are down or the app is gone ?

I have done some searching around and cannot solve my problem so I though id see if anyone else has experienced it too...
I have whatapp but the problem is that it just refused to acknowledge my facebook contacts even though they are viewable in my phonebook.
As a test I imported all of my facebook contacts into my gmail account and then they showed up in my whatsapp contact list.
I know that other android phones with whatsapp dont have this problem and I was wondering two things.
1. why is this happening?
2. is there a fix?

so i am looking for something
that can stop the push notifications from the facebook app and the email app.
basically i will be sometimes giving my tablet to my brother, and i dont want any notification then.
i was thinking of blocking access to the internet for those apps.
is there a app that can do that?
or is there any other way i can do this? (without turning off sync for each of them everytime)

I gave my phone away without removing the photos on it,now I know the gmail's account on that current phone.
Is there a way to remove all the data,or at least the photos on that phone,when I have the account running on it ? maybe install an app remotely ?
