---Updated April 2012
Some new updates, so I recently bit the bullet and brought the 3500mah battery off amazon sold by HandHelditem (ebay one look the same) and started some testing with Battery monitor widget (BMW)
Google Spreadsheet
Battery result in this google spreadsheet, all users are welcome to contribute
if you did not follow the process posted below, please explain in the comments section
The spreadsheet is no longer available
Proposed method for testing battery mah rating as following
Get Battery Monitor Widget Free or Pro (BMW)
(Free only allow tracking of 2 battery at the same time)
BMW Settings
history update rate 5 min (this is critical for comparison, different rate may generate different result, to get best apple to apple comparison we should all use the same rate, 5 min is the default)
MA retreival override to EVO 3D
Set to monitor without widget
Measure on boot = yes
Set battery MA rating to the "advertise rating"
Charger
Capable of 1000ma/1A output (i'm actually using my HP touchpad 2A charger)
Phone settings:
I'm still using my phone if necessary since this is my daily phone and i don't have a spare but upon finishing a call or email check i would resume where I left off
Phone setting for discharging (to maximize drain rate so I can do more test in less time)
1) mild version, set
4g = on (doesn't matter have connection or not just to help increase drain)
screen brightness 100%
screen time out = never
play a 3D movie with 3D on and looping
I get about 400-500ma drain rate using this
2) max version (watch out for overheat especially on overclocked phone)
4g = on
screen brightness = 100%
time out = never
load up a angry bird space level (not just the menu screen, the actual playing screen where the bird is waiting to be launch)
I get about 800-1000+ma drain rate, but the phone will get very warm/hot
Phone setting for charging
screen brightness = auto or minimal
4g = off
phone = sleep as much as possible(screen have a high power usage so turn off screen/ put the phone to sleep in order to give fastest charge rate)
phone must be ON but can be SLEEPING in order for battery monitor to log the history.
*******************************
*disclaimer either method i'm not responsible if your phone is damage/bricked as a result of this testing or overheating*
*******************************
To start testing.
1) if you already have Batter monitor widget, clear the history
2) whatever battery level you are on (better if you are at 100%), start discharging till phone shut off. For the first time on a battery, best to get it to as low as possible, I can get mine to about 2% with the 3500mah by plugging in, restarting the phone and unplugging while its starting till it auto shut off again, and repeating about 2 or 3 times.
3) power on the phone (may have to let it charge for 15-30 seconds first).
4) let it charge to 100%/green light, do not unplug/interrupt the charge, if you unplug before reaching 100% start over from step 2 You are allow to use the phone if necessary, ie take/make calls, check something online quickly, but best to just let it idle if possible, note that often it may take a long time to go from 99% to 100%, my EVO 3D will be stuck on 99% for a LOONNGGG time during "saturation charging" with the 3500mah for example about 1 hr55min to charge from 2%-99% then another 1hr50min to charge from 99%-100%)
5) after each charge reach 100%, unplug and uses the phone till it reach about 90-95% (this step is critical, as the result from the calibrated screen at 100% is slightly lower without this step)
6) get the result from the BMW calibration screen "Measured" result
7) repeat step 2-6 twice more
*) if you are going to test a second battery Clear the history in BMW before changing battery, following BMW instruction on changing battery
Result from each cycle should be fairly consistent if you have a result that is much higher/lower something may have happen during the charge cycle that skew the numbers, you should redo that cycle.
I choose the 3x charge/discharge as a reasonable compromise between testing time and accurate result (more charge/discharge cycle = more accurate)
Since we are all running the same phone the result should be fairly consistent and should be able to compare between different users
Will be interesting to get the result from other people's input
especially the Mugen/Seidio/Anker FAT extended battery.
FYI I'm using meanrom OC to 1.5ghz with anthrax kernel

RESULTS
3500mah = 2800mah +/- 12%
OEM 1730mah used for 3 months (July through Oct)
Gallio 2000mah very lightly used as a backup = about 1000mah
Chichitec 1900mah used daily since October = about 1800mah
--- Legacy Sticker pull info below---
Just want to list out all the EVO 3D aftermarket batteries rating as per reported by members using the sticker pull method. info are not guarantee, they are only as accurate as the report I receive.
FYI, Sensation 4G batteries are compatible with EVO 3D
Current best bet to have similar or better than OEM EVO 3D battery
ChiChitec
Anker
From report they seem to use the same battery. Here's a giant thread on the Sensation forum discussing the Anker with some ChiChitec throw in.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1128568
---Note the Sensation 4G OEM battery is only 1520mah, so Sensation users saying better than OEM performance does not necessarily mean EVO 3D users will see better than OEM performance, as EVO 3D OEM battery is 1730mah.---
---Advice: when possible, try to buy retail package instead of loose, seem the 2000mah Galilio maybe FAKE, but I have seen listing on ebay for retail pack 1800mah Galilio, and I have read in other thread that the Anker also come in loose, not sure if those are fake or legit
Last but no least, I want to thank you for everyone who have PM me with reports or additions

anyone want to do a sticker pull on Seidio's battery would be welcome, best buy's Platinum brand battery are just rebranded Seidio
Do you want eBay sellers as well? If so the seller farmer.shop is selling the fake ones.
It would be REALLY useful to list the ebay seller for the ebay ones.
Does the anker battery for sensation fit? Cheaper than chichitec and looks like similar performance.
I've got (sigh) 4 x Galilio coming in, will post after sticker pull.
too many ebay seller to list everyone, in most cases the poster who report on the sticker pull did not list the seller, Lastly the ebay seller pretty much all uses either the black/silver generic 1800mah sticker or the Galilio sticker, but if you find a new sticker/mah I have not listed, please let me know and I'll add it to the list
I just received two of these batterys with a dock for 19.99. Did a sticker pull and confirmed to be 1300. Contacted seller and waiting for response. At least its better than 1000 lol

Amazon has another 3D battery - ProdiCell. Claims 1800mah for $14.95
Oops, already listed - sorry....
And I'll have a trexcell tomorrow...
Just received 3 Galilio's and the sticker pull revealed they were all 1000 mah, contacting the seller now. The seller is hk_plaza.

I wanted to add, I am a bit annoyed about this, but having 3 1000 mah batteries with a seperate charger for $12 shipped is not that bad. I can still have them in my backpack if I am out on a trip where I can't charge my phone and get another 6-7 hours of life per battery.
Yeah, pretty much nowaday I go in with the assumption that these are no where near claimed Mah, and I get them on the assumption that they are Just in case battery when the main one die and i really still need to use my phone.
You can keep one in the office, keep one in the car, one somewhere else and just top them up every month or two.
12345....10.... My bad
notice there's now a 2500mah SLIM Galilio on ebay, wondering if its the same 1000mah cell or does it actually have a little bit higher mah? updated the first post

I almost bought those, but went with the 2000mah instead cause they were in a dock package, and I was buying a dock anyways. I imagine they are the same 1000mah.

Some one pull the chichitec batts! Seems like we are getting let down left and right by these 3rd party batts!
Forgive me for being a noob, but generally speaking are 3rd party batteries generally way less than what they advertise? I had a 2000mah seidio for my G1 before. Made it last days, though I think seido is a more trusted brand.

€25,-?!?
The 3000mAh one cost me $69 at LionBattery IIRC. And I'd rather buy from them than from a suspiciously low-pricing vendor on eBay... I'm not risking my TyTN nor my €25,- with such a vendor

I just got this battery from Lionbattery and it is emazing. I use to get about 15 hrs with standard batter. With this one I get 48 hrs, it is really worth it for me. I only had the battery for 3 days thus far.
i just got the extended battery - and am in the process of charging it now...
well, as what most people said - the back cover that came with the battery doesnt fit snugly into the unit. there is a outcrop on the seams (much like a bulge if you were too tight a pants)...
question, though - it says on the label that i should initially charge and discharge it between 3 to 5 fives to maintain the noted capacity... what does it mean? that i cannot use it until ive gone through 3 cycles?
also - how does one full discharge the device? i mean, doesnt the device turn off automatically after some set of seconds? how can i keep it ON the entire time?
thanks in advanced!!!
I bought a 2800 one off ebay came with charger, and car charger for $30 last week.

The whole "Lithium batteries has no memory" thing is really a myth. All batteries have a memory. The Lithiums are just way, way better at forming a false memory than Ni-Cads or even Nmh batteries. The lithiums are so good, in fact, that you can treat them as if they have no memory.
Anyway, to train the battery intially, put it through 3-5 full charge/discharge cycles. I do it with normal usage. Charge it till it is full and then use it until it shuts off. Repeat. The hard part (at least for me) is not plugging it into a USB for syncing or for modding the thing... cause that'll charge it, and you don't want to apply any charge (if possible) for those first 3-5 cycles. When I get the first battery alarm, I'll back the phone up just incase, then keep going.
Also, I've heard it was important that once you start charging it, you don't stop until it is fully charged again. ie, don't unplug it from the wall to make a call... go over to the wall and make the call while it is plugged in.
There is a site that we highly recommend for information about batteries. The site is www.batteryuniversity.com.
They also have detailed information on how to prolong the life of your Li-Ion battery HERE.
If you're up to doing some reading, you'll find the information very useful.

Lion Battery
Li-Ion's do not have memory. They have a drastic drop once they go under a certain point of discharge.
I have the 2800 mAh, it works great and after a full day of use I have about 40% battery life.
-2 hrs on phone
-40 emails
-random web browsing
-Turn 3G and WiFi off when not used.
So you can see from the stock 1300 mAh which would last me about 9 hrs this is a HUGE step in the right direction.
Mine was on ebay for 30 bones with car charger, and Wall charger.
Don't buy on eBay, at least not from lifestyle0806
Last year I ordered 2 extra batteries for my Nokia E61 from that guy.
The two batteries were wrapped by a fake nokia sticker. When I removed the sticker, I found inside the REAL size of the battery. It was a small 850mAH battery inside a plastic frame with a sticker claiming it was 1350mAH
So on eBay you'll find 2800mAH or 3000!!!... for only 20$ or something... but they are totally fake.
Or at least, they'll SUCK big time
I still used those two fake batteries, and one of them randomly shuts down my phone even if it's still full. The other one will drop to 1 bar of battery, then spike back up.. then drop.

Mark,
Great information and I am glad to hear that I don't need to cylce through charge and discharge in order to get good performance out of the battery. I have cycled my new battery twice but I am not going to do it anymore. According to the information from above site, the battery last longer on partial charge.
Thanks

Seidio 3200 MAH, It Rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!
i just ordered one off ebay
I bought a 2800 mah battery for my 8525 off ebay from a cheap vendor and i admit it did give me more power but on closer inspection when i cracked the pack open it was two 1100mah wired together. I know this because they were stamped with 1100mah lol. Im still using it until this day but you truely get what you pay for. I would take the advice and buy from a reputable vendor or.... take my knowledge if you want a 2200 mah battery for 15-20 bucks.
I got an extended battery 2850mah from ebay. Initially it is no better than the regular battery. Then after a few cycles (5X) when I check my SPB battery meter which indicates the approx run time in hours it comes to 10 hours +! with the regular battery it only goes 3-4 hours. In terms of percent it stays at 100% longer.

Sorry to have to say but in this paragraph, you contradict yourself, first you say they dont have a memory and call it a myth, then you say they do.
In fact they dont have any memory effect, its better to charge them whenever rather than let them drain completely..

rant over
I bought a 2800 from 360wireless on ebay and have had it for almost a month. It certainly has doubled my usage, so with random surfing on 3G/HSDPA (roughly an hour or so of solid surfing), a keepalive connection on my IM program (on E/G for battery purposes), screen dimming after 30 seconds, and about 10 emails a day and 50-100 chat messages, I'm at about 50% at the end of my day.
I'm good with that. I don't need to open it and inspect it. If it's 2 batteries put together, as long as it does the job, I'm good.

I purchased 1 of these Andida (1600mah) for my G1 and battery life increase is very noticeable. Just ordered 1 for my Tmo TP2.
Looking forward to your review. I will also buy one in case its worth once I have my rhodium. Cheers..
an extra 500mah's does seem nice for a few quid, ill hold out for your review also.
post for review curious myself as I got about a day out of this thing although I did talk for 3 hours on it
I would be real leary and real careful about buying a battery that inexpensive, even if it is 2000mah. If its protection circuit is not good or even worse, non existent, that TP2 is nothing but a grenade in your pocket. I know I'm not risking a no name Chinese battery in any device I know. You just never know what you are getting for your money.

2000mAh Andida
Received the 2000mAh. Put it to the test with Coreplayer in a loop playing Coraline fullscreen sound off. The Andida lasted 130 minutes first charge, 155 minutes second and third charge.
The stock 1500mAh HTC lasts 220 minutes. Quite a difference. But for € 7,50 including shipping you won't hear me complain. It's still a whole lot cheaper per minute than the other leading brands.
BTW, I haven't tested it yet but it seems the 2000mAh Andida provides longer stand-by times. Will test that starting today. If so, someone have a theory as to how Li-Ion batteries perform different under different circumstances? If there is a theoretical possibility that is
Packaging was quite professional I must say. Apart from that, the battery doesn't heat up, not during charging and not while it was put to the test.

A higher stand-by time but lower overall energy density is unlikely given they are both lithium ion. It's possible there are more impurities or something of the sort in the Andida battery, giving a higher internal resistance (meaning it has a high voltage drop-off when under full load). That would indicate a very poor manufacturing process and be a surprise.
This thing about these batteries having 2000mAh is total BS. I've tested for my own amusement a few of these cheap batteries under a few different testing regimes (using This). They can squeeze a few mAh by stripping down the packaging and safety stuff, but not much. All battery manufacturers are limited by simple chemistry. In this case, Lithium Polymer. If you want a high Ah battery, it will be bigger.

I have not done an official minute test but I feel exactly the same about this battery. Price, packaging is good but not even close to 2000mah of use time under data usage. Standby time is pretty good but who cares since we use the phone for data or else you wouldn't have a touchscreen $500 device. I am not saying it was a waste of money since it is a second battery...but definitely not an extended battery.

Oh I dont know why but I thought it used more battery every time it connected to the internet every 15 to 30 minutes to check for email (what ever non-push is called). Well I was mistaken. Thanks. Guess thats a whole nother topic which I dont care enough to start..
I just purchased this battery btw. From my experience I purchased a 3rd party battery from china for my g1. I had no problems with the battery I could see a difference. It lasted at least 6 months until I got rid of the g1 for the tp2.
I bought the g1 extended battery on ebay for $13. It was the exact same battery that fommy.com was selling for $40. Im sure china is where most resellers get there items from but they probably slap sticker over the original and call it theirs.
I see this as cutting out the middle man and saving myself the cost.
i would definatelly never trust a battery that cheap, especially in something that:
a) is kept in a pocket (see pic :)
b) is ususlly left to charge over night.
something that happened to someone using a chineese no-brand extended battery in an HTC Touch Pro:

I purchased and they charged my credit card 11/27, here it is 12/28 and still no batteries. There is no tracking number for these when they were sent as they didn't let me know that the way I'd paid I couldn't get a tracking number.
What I don't understand is I get a lot of things from DealExtreme and they ship from China and it's always trackable for bulkrate shipping. So, what gives with this company?
i'm looking to get a extended battery that is better that the standard g1 battery but i don't wanna convert my G1 in a gigantic brick...i dont mind a few more milimeters of tickness on the g1 but not too much...for the people that are using extended battery which will you recomend?
It's like saying I need to get a shot, but not with a needle. It will add thickness, if you don't like it get one of the 1700 batteries from the thread below.
I didn't mind the extra girth for a two day battery life. But right now I'm back to stock because it fell off my bed and the cover broke on the bottom.

i concur. i just got my new battery a couple days ago. a 2200 mAh. yes, it did make my g1 into a brick (in size, not functionality), but i would choose actually being able to use my phone over size anyday.
I got a Seidio 1400mAh battery. The brand is reputable, the use I get from it is noticeably more, and the size is the same as the stock battery.
My stock battery started to bulge out last month and wouldn't last even two hours on a charge. I'm not able to use my phone as much as I'd like during the day, but I can take it off the charger at 6am and still have over 30% charge at 9pm. I don't call, but I use lunch and break time to check up on facebook and newsfeeds.
I use Andida 1600mAh Battery. It works much longer than the default one while not making your phone bloated (it's the same size as original). And best of all it's pretty darn cheap! I was quite skeptical about it at first, but I got it just because how cheap it was. And it works like a charm!
oh well so i ordered this morning a 2200 mAh battery for $24...i'll be here anytime in the next two days...so should i do first charge the battery or use the battery till it die and then do the calibration?
Same with all Li batteries, drain, then charge fully.
I am using an Andida 1600mah battery as well. But I would like to ask whether there is any other battery that does not require a case covering? I just dont like to turn my phone into a brick. What is the max without requiring a bigger case? 1700mah? or 1800mah? Thanks.
ok so i just got my new extended battery to be honest is not that thick (still pits on the original pouch)and i like the new backcover...actually is a diferent one that the ones i saw on the pictures...i put it on my G1 and it has %53 left so i'm gonna kill it and recharge...awesome...

Please be aware that the recent batch of Andida 1600mah batteries are NO good. Before you go on ebay and get one, take a read on this thread.

I got 2 batteries, both do not charge. I just got a replacement from the seller, the replacement does not charge and a lot of people are experiencing the same thing.
.
I too brought the 2600mAh battery off of eBay. Cost me £12.00 which is around $20 I believe. Funny thing is, when I recieved it, it said 2850mAh on the battery. Now I don't know if it's a genuine HTC battery or not (sure as hell looks close enough) but it definately does the job. And as far as the size goes, as the previous poster said, you get used to it. Plus I find it a bit easier with the extra size when typing on the device. I would advise it to anyone. Makes your phone last a hell of a lot longer. Small, but very worthy investment.
Small question though: I don't know if I had a dodgy battery before, but this new one seems to charge in around half the time of the stock battery. Has anyone else experienced this or is it just me? I just thought I'd ask
Wow this batttery is a beast...my settings using the original battery was alway on edge, the lowest brightness setting, maybe a few text a few minutes talking listening music for like 2 hours and by the time I got home it will be under %10 this is barely using my phone now I have it on 3g using wifi whenever is possible texting browsing playing videos from youtube medium settings on brightness playing games listening to music for 2 hours and by the time I got home is at %55 and when I tried to kill the battery for a new recharge it just don't wanna die my last charge last over 24 hours...I'm so glad that I get this new battery finally I can use my phone without being attached to the charger....I'm planing to get me a bluetooth headphones...
I got a White G1, I bought a 2300 mAh Extended battery from ebay for about 23 USD, with the black battery door, but after months of abuse, the door cracked on me till a point where it just wouldnt stay on my g1 with my hand behind it ... So I ordered another one this time for only 12-13 (w/ shipping) bucks .. and it's white... Just got it today, Pictures below

What is the name of the battery?
And for the rest who bought the batteries, can you please state what it the seller's name or the battery brand? I'm thinking of trying one of those large ones Thanks!
I have the Seidio Innocell 2600 mAh battery. I like it now, but the bulge took about a week to get used to. It's great not having to worry about charging the phone halfway through the day (my stock lasted 6-8 hours tops).
The only complaint I have about the bigger battery cover is that it is easier to crack and break. I have a crack in the lower left corner of my cover, and I'm worried it will continue to grow. I've looked on eBay and Google for replacement battery covers, but I can't find any for sale without a battery.

I too can vouch for this. I have a crack in the exact same place. I also have lost the small lip like thing at the top where the back cover becomes in line with the keyboard. Only the lip part is gone though. If I find a cover available without the battery I'll be sure to post it.
I picked mine up from Gadget Garage off of ebay for around $20. I'll also vouch for the batteries themselves. It adds thickness but the change in battery life makes it worth it imho. Mine has been up 17 hours and I'm still at 50% without charging at all.

Is anyone using a case with a big battery? My current case (Body Glove) has protected my phone from everything for over a year. Don't want to lose the case for a bigger battery.
anker looks like they made a battery for the amaze. I had a good experience with there sensation battery.

That's not a real Amaze Battery... look at the posting info, it's only 3.7V. the Amaze comes with a 3.8V battery. Just use your old Anker sensation battery. it's the same thing.
I would really like to know if its worth getting since the stock battery is anorexic... and how would 3.7 volts affect the phone. Can it break it?
The phone will be undervolted which isn't bad seeing as how many kernels offer undervoltage

I email Anker and asked them about the voltage difference...
Hello, I have a quick question about the battery for the HTC Amaze 4G.
The OEM battery from HTC is listed as 3.8 volts, but your battery is listed as 3.7. Is there a reason why your battery has a lower voltage?
Could this affect the operation of my phone?

Their response was...
Thank you for contacting us.
I just heard back from our tech team that there is no actual performance difference between 3.7v and 3.8 v and it will not affect the performance of the battery.
Please do not worry about it.
Please let us know if there is anything else we may help. Any time you need us, we are always here.

I don't have a problem with that response. Since all of the components in the phone run at either 3.3v or 1.7v, that .1 of volt should have no affect on the operation of the phone.
If for some reason it does, just return it. They are reputable and have been selling for awhile.
It's not like they are selling these out of the back of a van.
Off Anker topic... But if it's a 3.8v 1730mAH battery, then it's the exact same as the Evo 3D isn't it?
Anker battery
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005M19IZU
I bought the anker battery and charger from Amazon and in all honesty the battery seems to work much better than the OEM one provided by HTC. 1800mAh and seems to provide a good backup battery. The external charger is a neat touch since one does not have to charge the batteries through the one all the time.
I just purchased two Anker batteries with a charger combo for $12.
Here's the link:
http://amzn.com/B005M19IZU
At first I thought that it sounded too good to be true but for $12 it's worth the risk.
It arrived today and at first glance I had a bit of buyers remorse because the charger didn't have any instructions and the charging pins seemed to move around too freely. It just felt cheap overall. The two batteries that it came with say that they are for the EVO 3D 4G as 3.7v and 1800mAh. Yet I let the batteries charge and I daringly put it in my phone. Voila! Powered right up and works just as well as the OEM battery. I haven't drained it yet so I have no idea on how long the battery will last. My expectations? 180 mAh 3.7v battery vs the 1730mAh 3.8v OEM battery... I'm not expecting too much difference to be honest. I'll keep you all posted with an edit in say about 48 hours.
A premature opinion if you ask for it... is it a viable solution for a primary battery? I wouldn't think so.
Is it a viable solution as a backup since we can't charge via 5.0.2.6 recovery? You're damn right!
Another note:
Not sure if it's related to the battery or not but I've had two random reboots with this battery installed. So... perhaps if someone else has experienced something similiar there just might be an issue there. Time will tell.
I bought from mugen the evo3D 1950mah I'm on my second cycle so far not impressed so far at all. The difference between the stock battery and this one is only 200 mah but it almost seems like the 3D battery drains faster

Damn!!!! I bought for 17 two weeks ago!!!!
Just got my Amaze last night. I put my Anker battery that I bought 2 weeks ago for my sensation in it. Unplugged the phone at 9:45 AM, and when I got home at around 8:00 i had something like 15-20% charge remaining. That was after using my phone through out the day to place a few phone calls, constantly checking texts and facebook, and also doing some ebay browsing looking for accessories for it. Must say, I LOVE my Anker battery.
Solid opinions?
I'm planning on buying one (1900mAh). I heard that initial it appears to lose it charge then slows down but still offering good battery life. However I'm a bit unsure.
By how much more hours will this thing pack compare to stock?
Also I hope (and it probably will) increase battery life once we see Cyanogenmod and better kernels. First we have to get through S-Off.
I got the 1950 today is my third cycle, in my previous post it was my second and I said it was terrible, after the 3rd cycle I've seen a big improvement. 12 hours and 12 mins off charger. I started at 100 percent. Right as I went into work. For 8 and 1/2 hours I had airplane mode on, being that WiFi calling doesn't work, had WiFi turned on, and listened to Pandora the whole time.

Just bought this battery for mine. It does not seem to get a full charge. Charging on device only get up to 94 % or so. Any one else have that problem?
edit: meant to reply to Binary. I've got this same battery kit: http://amzn.com/B005M19IZU
I've had this same kit for a few weeks. I have the same complaints about the charger pins but whatever, your hands will learn how to do it quickly after a couple times. Now I just rotate the batteries about every day and a half. On the first few charges I was barely getting more than the stock battery. After a few times of fully charging and fully draining I get about 25hrs of normal use. Last weekend I got 36 hours before the battery finally died.
My usage patterns:
1+ hr internet radio morning commute.
Mail, Facebook, weather, syncing all day.
Random web
random games
1+ hr internet radio evening commute.
not plugged in all night, sometimes I leave sync on, sometimes I turn it off.
1+ hr internet radio for morning commute
change battery some time between getting to work and lunch.
Worth it IMO.
So you are not charging in device though at all. Just their charger?

I bought the single 1900mAh and I can charge to 100% through the phone, it does however discharge down quickly initially. Its slows down after 80 - 90% so the overall life is still good. This is its second charge so I'm still waiting to see if I get a boost.
are you charging yours in the phone or the anker charger? Seems with indicator being off been tryib to charge in the phone myself.
What is thr best most accurate way of charging for life and indicator to be right?

I have a Nokia Lumia 710, got it on 17th December. I love the whole experience except for the battery life. Even when its full charged, the battery settings displays the max time to be 21 hours. If I do happen to use it a little more than the normal calling, that is a maximum of 1-1.5 hours its gone in around 14 hours. Nokia really should have fitted a 1500 mAH battery on 710 and 1800 on 800.
Anyways the point is, it also supports the standard e63 battery which is the BP-4L so it should also support the extended version of bp4l available with mugen. Its supposed to be a 1800 mAH battery and if it really is that much, I think my battery life would become awesome. What do you think guys, should I go for it ? Is it worth it and has anyone actually tried that ?
Here is the link for the battery ->
http://www.mugen-power-batteries.co...nded-battery-for-nokia-e61i-e90-n810-e71.html
By the way, Nokia Care here in India sucks, they want to take away my phone for more than a week without giving me a standby phone which supports microsim. I mean how stupid is that and then they expect me to give them my device.
Sorry for posting about the Lumia 710 on the Lumia 800's forums but hey they are siblings aren't they
Have you or anyone else tried this yet? This is the only post I could find related to this other battery, and am quite interested in any results from other users.
If it works I want to get the other battery as well.
The Nokia 710 uses the same battery as the Nokia 603 which is a a BP-3L not a BP-4L.
This is not entirely true
BP-3L is the native battery but a BP-4L will fit. Youmay need to remove the foam, or at least shave it down if you feel it makes the back lift too much

I will update once I get a chance to cycle the battery a few weeks.
Okay the BP-4L fits if you don't mind the back bulging a bit. If it works for you ...
By the way, the newset Nokia OEM BP-4L is 1650mAH. Before buying a mugen power or other after market battery I suggest you check out battery boss. OEM's like Nokia rate their batteries correctly. Aftermarket batteries retailers grossly overrate their batteries capacity.
http://batteryboss.org/
Does the bulge make it feel like the cover isn't fitting/closing properly? Also, would it be possible to get rid of the bulge by shaving the cover a bit?

Mugen battery
I've got the Mugen 1500mah battery and been using it for a week now.
I've been charging it for 8 hours or more for the first 5 charges, as recommended by Mugen and now the battery diagnostics shows a maximum capacity of 1175mah
This is worse than the stock 1300mah battery!!!
Not sure if it's a bad battery or the Nokia software can't work out what it is or how to charge it properly???

Those might just be incorrect readings, generally Mugen batteries aren't rip offs. How's the actual battery life being after the upgrade?
Mugen battery
It's currently showing time since last charge 1 days 18 hours
Remaining 1%, less than 1 hours
The phone has been used moderately, a few calls, texts and watching the live football scores - but not much more.
The full charge capacity is showing 1160 ???
I'm finding it hard to work out if the battery is actually lasting much longer as the drain details are not very linear at all. It seems to drain quickly at first and then slows right down, so 40% can be lost quite quickly but then it then keeps re-estimating how much charge is left.
One might get in a bit of a panic if out and about with the phone and solely relying on what the battery monitor was telling you.
Just a quick reply. I ussually hang out in the general and development section but have you guys tried flashing the lumia 710 russian rom yet?
After flashing the russian rom for the lumia 710, my battery drain went from around 200MA/H to around around 110MA/H.
It was just something I noticed when unlocking my bootloader to full unlock my lumia.
A few heads up on the russian rom though. It disables 4G, only letting you have 3G, H, and E data connections.
If anyone wanna do it, head on over to this link to the rom:
http://narod.ru/disk/45935058001.2aaca38c9acf622332f4a81b5bf0e331/RM-803.rar.html
And a guide on how to flash it with nokia care:
http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/how-to-interop-unlock-nokia-lumia-710-800-flash-a-custom-rom/
My experience from it was pretty good. before flashing, unplugging it at 7am to go to school, and getting home at around 3pm, it would usually be at around 50% battery.
After flashing, it would sit at around 70-75%ish.
Tell me what you guys think.

i got an extended battery for Lumia 710, 1600mAh,
i sell it at XDA marketplace, here -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1694718
wow, I need. how much????
Anyone got any updates on confirmed extended batteries for the 710 that hold the advertised power and are not just 1100mAh sold as 1500mAh ?
I bought a BP-4L 1500 mAh (I actually ordered the 1650 mAh one, after verifying with bastards from uk-mobilestore.co.uk that they actually have the 1650 version, but they've sent me the old 1500 mAh one - couldn't be bothered to return).
It fits instead of the original Lumia 710's BP-3L but it is a bit thicker so I had to remove the sticky foam thingie from the back cover. I also trimmed the back cover a bit later (using sandpaper) for a perfect fit - took me a while.
The jump from 1350 mAh to 1500 mAh is actually quite noticeable - I'm happy with the battery life now (lasts me at least a day now)!
I'm still looking to buy the original Nokia 1650 BP-4L but can't seem to find it anywhere though (Orange accessories are advertising it but they'll just send you 1500 mAh - my experience, had to return it.)

Nice thanks, so the Nokia 1650 BP-4L will fit with a slight mod to the back cover then.
Does it last the whole day with things like wifi on and all live tiles background processes enabled etc ?
If I set apps background processes to on, my battery dies very quickly
Just found this, but when you Google the product number it also states 1500mAh, so looks like everywhere is falsely advertising them as 1650mAh

Yep - it's almost perfect fit, but not 100% perfect - there's a very slightly raised cover edge on one side now but I can't be bothered to trim the cover anymore / fix it somehow as the problem is only cosmetic and not really noticeable unless you've got OCPD

I sent them (virginaccessories) a couple of emails to ask for clarification, but they don't bother to answer - I would guess that you're right, they are falsely advertising it too (probably just copy/pasting info from Nokia official web page and not bothering to check what they've got in the actual stock). Their prices are also a bit on the high side.
