[Q] Titanium Backup, question to experts - HTC Flyer, EVO View 4G

I know titanium backup can backup and restore, Apps and its Data.
I also know some apps create directory on sdcard and stores some data on it,
Does these data are the only ones being back up?
How bout other apps that does not create directory on sdcard,
are the settings saved and can be restored?
What exactly does titanium backed up? and how does it restore app?
The following are the instances:
*Launcher Pro settings
*Location Profile like Llama (Events, Rules, profiles, settings)
*Dolphin Browser Settings
Are these settings restored?

Titanium backup (and others) don't backup something from the SD-card (exception is only the removal with android self). Only what is in the internal memory from the app is stored will be backup.

Quick question regarding titanium backup

Straight to the cut...
I wanna change rom and backup my apps with titanium in order to use them with another rom. Some apps are on phone, the rest on sd-ext and none on sd. So...
1. If I backup my apps then I have to install titanium on new rom and restore them. Will titanium now where to place the apps again (phone/sd-ext)?
2. Do I back the up with their settings or just the apps?
Thanks!
Im not sure about sd-ext but backup your apps + data. This will restore them to their exact original state before

Click the ' RUN - Backup all user apps + system data. Should do!
It should restore all apps+data to the place they were when you backed them up.

How to backup contacts and apps before flashing a rom?

So i just installed Cyanogenmod 10, and all my contacts and apps have been wiped, fortunately i backed up before flashing the rom, what's the best to restore my contacts and apps after i flash cyanogen?
Well a nandroid will recover eveything to previous state. To backup particular items like contacts and apps then youll need titanium backup or Mybackup pro which will save these for you and can be restored individually to a new rom also root is recommended to backup the most data.
Also contacts can be backed up with out root using the export/import option on the contacts menu screen it will create a file that can be imported to another rom using the same menu just make sure once u create the file its NOT on the internal sd when u do wipes Same goes for the mybackup pro or TB backups make sure to either move them from the internal b4 a wipe and put them back after or link those apps to backup to your external sd card which u can setup within the backup app u choose.

Thanks for answering, i have a question though, i backed up from the recovery screen, would i be able to return to before i flashed the rom?
Use your contacts app to export a vcard and put it into your extSD location. Then use Titanium Backup to do a backup of all your apps (again to the extSD)
If you want to do that for your messages, call logs, and wifi spots. Use Titanium Backup to "Export XML" you will be able to export all three things that I just mentioned.
when you flash the new rom, you just have to reverse the process.
(import vcard, import xml, restore apps and data)
EDIT: Forgot to answer your other question. what you can do is to make a backup of your new rom (nandroid), restore the older one, do all the things i mentioned earlier, restore the new rom, then finally import them all back in.

Tiatanium Backup issue

I have TiBu Pro installed, and I have my user apps Backup saved to my extSdCard.
After installing the ROM, and then TiBu, the number (58) of User apps are showing in the Batch actions - ALL seen under:
Verify all your backups,
Recovery mode,
Delete backups
But they are Not showing under 'Restore missing apps with data.'
How to I direct TiBu to Restore the User apps from the extSdCard?
The Backup folder in TiBu is showing:
/storage/extSdCard/TitaniumBackup
and my User apps are there.
Thanks
Does the folder name on the ext sd card have to be a specific format?
I'm holding off on using My Backup Pro to Restore
Update:
I got the user apps to appear. I'm not sure how, but this time I was asked if I want to install the previous ID, which I did. I'm not sure if I was prompted previously.
In addition, in Preferences, I couldn't use Hypershell, as the apps wouldn't install. I had to choose Interactive for the apps to install, and give Permission to each app individually, but at least I got them to install.
Auto: Indirect
Auto: Direct
Wouldn't install,
But choosing:
Interactive
did install the apps.

[Q] Titanium Backup - multiple backup folders

I am wanting to keep a separate archive of older apps. The apps will be backup up and then uninstalled from the device. I would like this set of apps to be kept in a separate TiB backup folder. Are there any issues that I should know related to creating an additional TiB folder for these apps and then routinely switching back and forth between my primary backup folder and this other folder? Is it just that simple? Is the new folder created with TiB default settings?

how to quickly setup (restore apps+settings) after Clean ROM Flash?

how can i restore my personal apps and settings (call logs msges etc) quickly after doing clean ROM flash. ( or say reflashing same rom after fomartting full system+data).
here is what i do and it consume a lot time.
i use titanium backup for apps backup whose app+data is important for me.
and for rest apps simple app backup (using es file explorer)
for systems settings like wifi password, sms and call logs backup sometimes titanium or any app from playstore with same feature.
but whole process takes alot time.
Titanium backup to rescue. Use batch restore after configuring it.
I just use my Google account at time of setup to do the job.
Swift Backup works really well. Backs up/Restores apps + data + external data + Obb (restores permissions aswell) along with the usual WiFi/messages/call logs etc. Needs root and batch operations are a premium feature only. (if formatting/wiping internal storage - simply move the Swift backup folder elsewhere then replace it back to Internal storage after the flash then reinstall app)
