My buddy and I have an application we have been working on but can't seem to get this all together for publishing. I am looking for developers or a developer that is efficient with writing applications for the android platform, objective C experience would also be great if we ever want to publish on iOS. There is possible money upfront and for the finished product. There will also be a percentage of profit given to the developer to maintain the app and keep it updated.
Leave a reply or PM me. Hope to work with some of you soon.

I remember how the Android port had such a high amount added up and wondered if the WP7 port should have this started too. Plus it'll be a motivator for getting a fully working port over for the HD2. Certain live features are reportedly not working, but maybe this fund will help more developers to buy whatever equipment they need to do so. Just a thought since I feel the funding is one thing that REALLY helped Android being ported over to the HD2.
you should of done a poll but you can count me in for a few quid
I'd pay 20$+ for a port.
Any android bounty thread that was made before android was ported was closed. WP7 will be developed either way.... I don't think a bounty thread will do anything to help. In fact, it may hurt because it may make the devs compete and not share info instead of working together. And most good accomplishments are group efforts. Any dev knows that he will get plenty of donations to get wp7 working without a bounty thread.

Hello!
I have been working on this Wiki for Optimus V users. It's open to the public as of now, and has a bunch of data already added. Thanks to the members who have already made edits, you are really doing your fellow Optimus V'ers a favor by adding information to the site. I have been monitoring the site traffic and everyday it goes up and up, nearly doubling every day! Please feel free to make changes/edits or add new pages to the wiki, it's the contributers that will make this site really flourish. I am currently paying out of my own pocket for a premium membership here and my hope is that in the end we can simply stick some clean google ads in on there and let the site support itself. So take a look, if you feel like you have anything to add, please do. Anonymous edits are allowed but we urge you to join our team! Thanks very much! I really hope this site will help some people out, newcomers to the scene or the elite!
ps: I will be working on a better navigation/portal as I feel there is finally enough content to do so! I feel like a nice way to organize it would be by "Android Basic, Android Intermediate and Android Advanced" and then cross-linking all the current content together. if anyone has any suggestions on this please chime in or go ahead and work on your idea! open source style!
pps: I'm not making a single cent off this site and never plan to. We accept donations to cover our wikispaces fees only.

update!
Just a little update letting everyone know the site has been updated quite a bit since I made this thread a while back! Have organized the information into a repo of sorts arranged by the level of skill one may need to take on a hack or modification. Have also been receiving some donations from some kind individuals and have been saving up to hopefully soon pick up some real server space and use the official Wikipedia framework, Wikispaces is nice but they are really lacking in terms of being able to customize your wiki or even do some basic things like edit or upload your own html. So if you didn't enjoy the site when you first took a peek give it another chance, the awesome wiki team members and a bunch of guests have been submitting quite a bit and it's thanks to their work that we are currently receiving over 2000 unique hits every month! thanks!!
ps: added google ads on the left side, all clicks make money for the site! thanks!
Hello All
I need some input from you guys...
We all can recall the dsixda kitchen and numerous kitchens, but what if it were all online?
Yes that's right. I am in the process of launching a project that will do just that. I am at the point of writing a business proposal for funding of the project and I need some key info from you guys..
This kitchen will allow complete noobs who do not know any code to customize their phone like never before. Just like devs do, this will allow people to customize their phone and have a server build their package. Thats about in depth as I can go. lol
But I need some "Market" info:
First, how much would you pay for this service?
Second, How often do you think people will use it?
These answers need to take into account that not everyone is a dev and that it is mainly aimed at users of no code experience.
Thanks Guys.
Also, at some point, I will be opening this up to devs and beta testers once I have the facility built and coded. Keep an eye out as I plan on asking for beta testers right here on good ol xda.
Free, with Ads. but please make ads relevant to services lik XDA or AndroidCentral.
Well done on resurrecting a six month old thread...

Hi xda-developers,
I am an Embedded developer with vastnexperience in Firmware development in C programming (for microcontrollers), pcb designing, corel draw/photoshop (intermediate level) . Now I am looking to stretch my self a lil further by trying my hands on Android Programming. I have no prior experience in Software development. It would be kind of experienced developers out here to guide me with possible approaches that I can give to Android development without a much steep learning curve. As I would be practicing android development mostly on weekends (as of now), I would like to get started with things that I can relate with already. That way it would keep me going. Help me out with:
1. Possible applications I should work on. Something that can also be helpful for the community of users and developers.
2. Starting point and other obstacles I would come across while development.
3. Application ideas.
P.S: I also have a rPi lying around catching dust.
Some of the features still cant use on this. Libraries could be use.
Start with "Hello World"
Regardless of your software development capabilities you should always just mess around with the tools that are available and see what you like and what you don't like.
Try every tool you can, when you feel like you know those inside out have a go at extending the functionality of one of those.
For me when it comes to learning a new technology like Android SDK just playing with it inspires me to want to create real and practical applications.
Goodluck and have fun.
PS: I would stick around and see what happens with the release of Qt 5.2 Hint hint...
Yea. Android like embedded requires you to set up a Dev environment so get that up first. ROM building vs app developing are hugely different. Decide which and download the tools. (May require you to install a whole new os and tweak it heavily. Last time I ventured to compile a ROM it was a day to set up my Linux distro of choice)
And like what was said before start with hello world and move up in small bites. You will gain better understanding of how things work and will be less frustrated. Don't expect a full featured app to appear. Once you play around with all the little components eventually you will see a big picture and the building blocks for the "big app" will be there ready to use.

Hey guys,
we are looking for some experienced developers with low lvl knowledge of Android system:
- knowledge of NDK and c++ development on Android
- knowledge of Dalvik VM
- knowledge of low lvl parts of system (ART, file system, proceses and so on.)
- knowledge of assembler and low lvl debugging
For now we are in phase o building prototype and looking for some enthusiastic developers, who would like to help us with development in their free time as we cannot offer money for your work now.
I will not be saying here we can offer work on amazing project, with bright future and so on as other startup projects are saying. We know risks, we are doing it also in our free time and looking for some money source. We are realistic and trying to speed up work in field, which is for us not so well known.
We will also be glad for possibility of some discussions, consulting or any sort of advices from you in case you cant help us directly with development. Or if you know someone, who would be willing to help us, you cant point them to me or give me contact and i will contact them.
In case of any interest, send me PM.
Thanks
