Does anyone know why this widget will not let me log in? I've even tried under settings and partner services (it uses the same process to sign in). Facebook works great but I just got a twitter account today and it keeps telling me I have the incorrect password/username. I've checked and double checked my information. I can even login using the browser and TweetCaster, just not the Dell Streak widget (which I prefer). Any information on this will be greatly helpful. I am running the stock 1.6 US version. Thanks!
I had the same problem too. Anyone figure out a fix?
About 2 months ago twitter changed the way they let 3rd party's log in to twitter so everyone had to update to accommodate this but dells app cannot self update so we have to wait for dell to update it you will have to use a different app for now
touiteur is a nice application , i use it often and it offers same functionality and more. looks even nicer.
Any way to see if Dell is/will update the built in Twitter app? I've been using TweetDeck and TweetCaster in the meantime... not too bad.
Hey guys, I'm stuck in a slight bug on my Xperia U. Its actualy my GF's phone but its up to me to solve the issue.
When we use the facebook messenger app, we can't see any contacts online (the green dot) just a few with the cellphone icon, though on the PC we can clearly see many contacts online (with the green dot).
Its the latest version of both facebook app and facebook messenger app and android 2.3.7 stock.
Is the any kind of configuration we are forgetting? or is it a bug? there is any way around it?
Thanks for the attention.

I've seen tutorials explaining how to use mobile facebook from a web browser.
I have also seen a hack where a correctly-named dummy app makes facebook think fb messenger is already installed. I'm not sure if this works with later versions of facebook.
What I've done so far is install an old version of facebook from July 2014, then used titaniumbackup to break the market link. So that it does not come up in my update or update all lists in play store.
The problem with what I'm doing now is that the facebook app periodically restores the market link so that I am not able to forget about my facebook workaround and update my other apps normally.
I wonder if there is a better hack for a rooted android galaxy s2 that keeps facebook messages in the app but does not require any further attention.
There were also third party apps that could show the facebook newsfeed and send messages but I no longer see them in the play store. Is there an app that I could sideload that is recommended to replace the facebook app?
Any help is greatly appreciated on this.
I think the easiest is just using an old version. Facebook 1.9.12 never asks for the update. Message away to your heart's content. It's posted on another xda thread
Does anyone have new messenger UI on sgs9+ ? Everybody have it on other phones but me and my friend on sgs9+ no ..
Its pushed server side with no update to the app itself. You just have to wait until they enable it on your account. Theres not a way to force it.
Hi folks,
My daughter would like to keep in touch with her friend that has recently moved to Oz and he friend has Facebook messenger kids. Is there any way to get Facebook Messenger Kids in the UK? I managed to find an apk to sideload the app but when I try to sign her up to it, it blocks it. Anyone had any success with workarounds? I'm wondering if a VPN would help, or would I need to change settings in the Facebook app or Google app store?
Thanks in advance.
Same here @gk141054. Did you get any where with this?
Unfortunately not. My daughter has just started using JustTalk Kids now and it seems good with reasonable parent controls.
