Set I/O Scheduler
Enable clean up on boot (Clears LOST.DIR and .trash on sdcard and clears dalvik and caches)
Tested on the latest MIUI Rom.
NEW
Set I/O Scheduler In the control script allows you to pick the default i/o scheduler and shows available i/o schedulers and current scheduler.
Must reboot before setting takes effect
The list shows which one is active with [ ] around the active one so it will look like this with sio:
0 performance
1 [sio]
2 conservative
...
Usage:
Flash zip file
Run terminal type "su" without the quotes
Then type "voc" without the quotes
Make your selections
You MUST enable virtuous oc before and freq settings will work and everything is remembered on reboot.

How would I go about lowering OC to 1512? My phones doesnt seem to like anything higher than that. I'm guessing if you're using a script, setcpu will have a conflict??

Ok then I may give it a spin. Do you think your dual core mod was one of your better mods. I hear alot of negative comments towards enabling the dual core.
Sorry to throw your thread off topic. I just want to hear your input since you were the first (to my knowledge) to bring it to the 3D.

Thanks alot smokin, I just flashed after a backup and the MIUI is running smooth as ever. Quadrant has improved as well.

Setcpu should work fine with it, the script only sets it once. After that it can be changed. You could edit the script [email protected] /system/etc/init.d/02tweaks edit the number in the line that ends with scaling_max_freq.

If ya have adb just plug in your phone and type adb reboot recovery then reflash MIUI. I am running the latest and this with no issues. I am adding tiamat and removing bcblend for now cause bluetooth works on tiamat.

Well, I just reflashed MIUI, but I haven't left recovery yet; is the Tiamat version already finished? If so, I don't mind waiting in Recovery for a bit if you're upping it
EDIT: Also, just wanted to say that my phone can't do anything higher than 1728. I tried to look through the scripts, but I couldn't find where you've set the Max freq?

/system/etc/init.d/02tweaks and i am finishing it now i added a few things and i am testing them out now.

Hey all,
There are a good amount of choices on the marketplace now for overclocking and underclocking.
I've never had to use an app on my Nexus One running CM7.1 because it came with the ROM.
Anyone have experience with the Amaze specifically and these apps?
When I read through the comments on market, it seems like every cpu app works with varying results depending on what brand/model phone you have.
Figured I would ask XDA peeps before purchasing or even trying an app that could cause some serious issues with my amazing Amaze

Overclocking is currently not possible.
We need the kernel source which hasn't been released yet.

Its not useless. Setting the Max Freq to something lower truely saves juice
We actually could overclock without source by using kernel modules, but that's not really the best way to do it. I'd rather wait for a custom kernel.

THIS is what will need to happen to truly take advantage of OC/UV.
SetCPU has been my standard for a while now.
Need a good Synergy replacement! Anyone got any ideas? I banned sense on Synergy so Senseless or ASOP is best IMO. So many ROMs out it's insane. Every time I find one I think might look good, it's out dated. The latest was Warm 2.3 but that's almost 3 months old now and looks dead.
Any suggestions, prefer it all working so CM7/9 is out (need 3g, 4g, camera)?

Surprised you haven't used viperrom. It has the best dev support out right now and an awesome team behind it. Been using then since launch day.

I gotta give it to ViperROM just for the support he shows in the Redline thread.

I still haven't found a rom that is as smooth and snappy as eternity.
I've looked over ViperROM and InfectedROM and both are Sense based. I prefer using ADW Launcher and I'd hate to have Sense still running in the background when it's not needed.
I just installed freEVO (sense mostly removed) today but it doesn't seem as snappy as Synergy which I've used for so long.

Hi, define snappy? A bunch of things can affect a ROM's 'snappiness.' Maybe it is LauncherPro (default launcher) that's not to your liking. Maybe it is the dual core kernel, or the fact that it's 1.2GHz if you're used to oveclocking. At any rate, I'll be here to answer any questions you have.

Ya know Freeza...snappy can be a bunch of smoke and mirrors with reduced animations and high overclocks... I prefer a good solid rom that I can further customize (like yours).

If you dont want sense running around in the back then flash Leedroid tweaks and disable it.

I used to use LauncherPro exclusively but I uninstalled it on freEVO as soon as I got it. I am using SetCPU and CPU Spy and verified I am still using 1.5 GHz overclock set to On Demand.
I did update the kernel too so maybe that's what's causing the issue. I am using the MSM8X60 KERNEL now (linked below). The file I used was CDMA-SENSE-AnthraX-2.6.38.6-REV_013.zip, maybe it's the wrong one? That is probably where I should look first I think.
I add Leedroid Tweaks too... that rocks btw. Awesome tools.

That's why we've included the viperCONTROL script. It will freeze every bit of bloat and sense with a few inputs from the user

Is that the 'Disable Sense Launcher' setting in leedroid? I assumed that just disabled the launcher and not all of sense. Assuming... not always the best I know.
I am open to all ROMs, just not a Sense fan. I prefer stability too. I'm at work now and haven't had a ton of time to look further into ViperROM. I plan on doing that tonight. The Viper Control script sounds like it's what I want.
Love all the options we have... and the amazing support on XDA. Thanks for all the responses. Gives me a lot of choices.

You may want to wait until chad releases r14, as the camera won't work correctly on the new OTA base (2.17)

No, the script is run via terminal emulator. Just open terminal emulator and type:

Being that HTC hasn't released source yet for the latest ota kernel, its recommended to use the stock kernel

If it is based off of 2.17 then there are no custom kernels right now capable of working with the camera. If you want full functionality, I would stick with the kernel it comes with which is more than likely stock.

I think it's more ROM than kernel at this point. I've tried it with kernels that have the right config. Tried on gb miui, cm7, sense 3.0. There is only ONE rom and kernel that have the mod working, it's wtsb sense 3.5. No clue what needs done to make it work on others. I even PMd the dev (ponury) and he said to set the config in the kernel, I told him that was done and it didn't work. Haven't heard back again...

I remember back in the days when I was running that rom the dev had to ask Ponury to mod the kernel for the mod to work..
Yea I been wanting to get this working on deejays sense 4.0 ... Too bad ponury sold his evo ....

Charge works but definitely breaks 3D
Htc Evo 3d hboot 1.5
He has a few different kernals the one I found that worked to flash ics on h-boot 1.5 was chads other kernal AnthraX-htcleak-stockfirmwaretest there links to it in rom thread. I have had a couple bugs with it 3d,camcorder not working but other than that works flawlessly. No reboots. I am sure he will update soon enough so I am holding out for it.

Viper 3d don't have working WiMAX right now. Virus is working on that. From what you are asking about I recommend Zr3d-XL Rom. It's highly customizable with full functionality along with leedroid tweaks. It also has beats, Sony bravia and xcloud sound and picture enhancements. Plus a whole bunch of other tweaks I cant name right now. If you want to theme out your Rom I recommend the blue and red blend themes. They are awesome and will give your phone a whole new look and feel. You can find them under themes and apps section.
