Hey friends, i am unable to switch on my phone. Its not booting normally, neither going to recovery mode nor downloading mode. There is no response on pressing the power button.
Things i did when it was on:
1.Rooted with superoneclick.
2.Installed ROM manager from market.
3. Tried reboot to recovery.
Then i didn't rebooted after shutting down.
Plzzzzzzz help me out.
yeah rom manager does cause problems...im assuming you already have a recovery flashed right?
yeah.....then whats d solution dude..??
Have just recovered from a semi-brick of GT S 5570 and installed gingerbread.
I read somewhere that you can remove the sim and sd card, battery and while pressing the key combo for download mode, AFTER the phone is connected to the PC, you can insert the battery.
May help - no assurances since I am myself a n00b. So wait till somebody bashes me for saying this

Thts the real problem.odin do not detect my ph.and my ph cannot change to downloading mode..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1706918
Hello everybody,
this is my first post so please be gentle with me. I rooted my Galaxy S2 I9100 and after that I installed CWM Recovery (Blazing_Kernel_v3_CWM5.zip). The rooting part went well, after the restart everything was ok. After the CWM Recovery installation the phone is stuck at the logo screen "Samsung Galaxy SII GT-I9100". From what I have seen during the CWM Recovery installation everything got installed just fine so I don`t understand what could have happened.
I have seen my exact same problem asked here on the forum but the others had more luck, they could boot in Recovery or Download Mode.. I cannot boot in any of the 2.
Is there anything I can do or is the phone bricked for good?
PS: I have insurance on my phone and I have dropped it a week ago and broke a bit of the screen but the phone worked just fine..besides the fact that from that moment on the external memory card could be read very slowly by the phone and sometimes just crashed because of that. Sometimes it wouldn`t read the external memory card at all. Do you think I can go and tell the insurance guys that I have this problem after I dropped the phone and that it is maybe related?
Thank you all in advance!
I've never heard of that kernel on a I9100, pretty sure you flashed a kernel meant for another device.
Try a jig and, if that doesn't fly, take it to your insurance company.
And no, they won't buy the drop story.

Hello,
You're new, we get that, but it doesn't give you permission to break rules. Just heads up, nothing relevant.
You have not hardbricked your phone, since you can still boot up to wherever. I assume you have already tried the correct ways to enter either download or recovery mode.
According to me it seems like you have flashed a Kernel for the i9100G devices, and from the information i see here i assume you have the international version. So that's maybe your problem, you have flashed a kernel for the wrong device.
about the dropping your phone. If it worked before dropping it, then i don't think they'll repair it.
PS. There's another way to get into download mode, but i'm pretty tired so i don't think i'll bother looking
i've seen @GamingDj explain this to another user so maybe he can explain here too if he sees this
I dont think Ive read about your situation before.......semi booting but no recovery or download modes.

There's two alternative ways to boot into DL mode...
1. Take out the battery, leave it out for a minute. Then, hold the button combo to enter DL mode. Still holding the button combo, put the battery in. Try a couple times if you don't get it first go.
2. Turn the phone off. Then, hold the button combo for DL mode while inserting the phone charger. That would normally boot into DL mode.

God,I have to copy-paste this again....ok,so here we go.First of all, download this firmware. It's Android 4.0.3 XWLP7.After it finished downloading, extract it,so you will have a .tar.md5 file, and then open Odin.Make sure Kies is stopped. Then,on your mobile:make sure it's charged, and in Settings enable USB debugging(if you can boot the rom)Then enter Download Mode(Hold POWER + HOME + VOL DOWN buttons together until it enters download mode). If that doesn't work, then pull out the battery, start pressing the VOL DOWN button, reinsert battery, and put in the charger. Now it should be in Download mode.If no,then a JIG it is.Now connect it to your PC.In Odin,Click PDA,and select the extracted firmware file.Make sure "Re-Partiton" and "Flash Lock" are unticked. Then Click start. It will take ~ 5 min. to flash the new ROM.After completed, disconnect it from PC.It maybe won't boot/it will be stuck in bootloop. Now enter Recovery(hold POWER + HOME + VOL UP buttons, until it restarts and shows up the "Galaxy S2 GT-I9100" screen. Now let the buttons go.In recovery(you can navigate with VOL UP/VOL DOWN buttons , and select with POWER button) select "Wipe Data/Factory Reset",or something similar.Select yes.It will take ~ 3-8 min. to wipe. That's it,you have restored your Galaxy S2!.If you want to root it,follow along.Download this file, and put it on your phone`s EXTERNAL SD! card. Now reboot into Recovery. In recovery, select "Install update from external storage", or something similar, and search the downloaded file.Install it.Now reboot. You don't have to wipe anything. That's it!
I swear that post should be sticky in the Q&A section. So many people can't read.
This is not even a recap nor a guide, not sure if it is spoon feed either.

Im turning on a Galaxy Ace and it says on the Galaxy Ace startup logo forever.
Is there any way to hard reset it? Trying to put it into Download Mode and/or Safe Mode the same exact thing happens.
When I turn the phone off and charge it thru AC, the battery icon comes on stating it is charging. Does Odin see it in tha moment so maybe I can flash it then? Like I said i cannot get into safe or download mode.
Im leaving the phone on and see if it will completely drain the battery and charge it up again from there.

Can you tell us what exactly happened that caused this problem? Like did you install a new rom, kernel, etc. Try taking out the battery and then put it on and press the Download Mode key combo. See if you can enter the Download Mode. Do post the result.

Well, WhatsApp "self uninstalled" itself as when I tried to see it in the Applications list all that appeared is "com.whatsapp" so I went ahead and redownloaded from the Play Store. It complained about there being low disk space but it told me that it installed it successful. I tried to open it and it said that it had stopped working. So I went ahead and turned it off. And ever since that, I try turning it on and it stays like that.
Like I mentioned, I try entering Download Mode and it stays the same way with the logo.

Can you enter Recovery Mode? If yes, try doing Wipe data/ factory reset and Wipe cache partitions. See if it works. If not, then try using the following guide to force open Download Mode from odin. The guide is meant for Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 and thus the key combination mentioned in the guide is different. Since you are using Galaxy Ace S5830i, make sure to hold Vol Up+ Vol Down+ Power to enter the Download Mode. Here is the link,
How to unbrick Samsung Galaxy Ace
If your PC can't detect your phone, then its most probably the drivers that giving you that problem. Use the following guide to download all the necessary files including drivers,

First of all, there is always a Recovery Mode in your phone. If you haven't installed any separate one's, then you will have the stock Recovery Mode. To enter it, hold on Vol Up + Home + Power button while switching on your phone. Pressing the Download Mode combo normally and pressing the Download Mode combo while your phone is connected to odin is an entirely different thing. Now you can also try the USB Jig but let me tell you its not always guaranteed to work. If USB Jig did work, then it will force open the Download Mode and you install the stock rom back using odin. If none of the above works, then its better to consult the Service Center as it could be a hardware problem.

Hello! I don't know where i should post this since the UMI X3 device isn't on this site, so i just post it here...
I installed a custom rom, now it's bootlooping.
If i turn it on it will show the little boot splash screen, then the screen will go black and usually it would show the boot loading screen but it doesn't, it reboots again to the boot splash screen.
I tried searching on google, but none of the forum posts actually helped me.
I try to holds down the power button and the volume up button at the same time, but it will just do the same bootloop thing.
The home button is a touch button, and i actually already tried holding down on that but it didn't work.
I also tried holding power button and volume down, and i tried holding all the buttons down at once (power + volume up and down)... also no succes.
Now it used to work, i got into some chinese bootloader before i installed this rom.
So, basicly it won't get into any recovery. I did install clockworkmod recovery actually and it did work, yet i needed to launch it via mobile uncle tools to get into it. I think im totally ****ed now...
Pleace, is there ANY way to solve this problem?
Problem in a nutshell:
Boot looping splash screen, can't get into recovery mode. (PS: i also tried to connect it via USB but it won't find my phone...)

UPDATE:
I'm now able to get into recovery mode!
However i can't mount usb.
Same problem

Hi Kyriano,
I have the same problem after installing the cynogenmod, does your phone work now. How did you get in the recovery mode??
posible solution
Hi,
After struggling with this issue all day i found a quite simple solution.
The cause of the bootloop in my case was the simcard. So this is what i did:
1. remove simcard tray
2. Turn the phone off and on
3. If everything is ok the bootloop stopped, if not try to reboot again
4. Download mobileuncle in the playstore
5. Open the app click on; into recovery mode
6. Recovery will open and then hopefully you made a backup.Restore it and voila!
If you did not make a back try to flash the official umi ROM.
I hope this solved your problem to.

I am new to this stuff and since my Galaxy Mega 5.8 (gt-i9158) is korean, I decided to install custom rom. I did the following steps.
1. Installed KINGRoot and rooted my device.
2.Installed TWRP Manager. I just followed what it said and have no idea what I did. It downloaded something and asked me about installing a recovery. To that I said yes and then restarted my phone.
Sadly, there is no step 3. :crying:
My phone never restarted. The usb cable connected to the computer does nothing to it but just shows it as "QHSUSB_DLOAD" .
I tried doing that HOME BUTTON + POWER BUTTON + VOLUME DOWN stuff but nothing has happened. Its almost like dead.
Please give me a way to revive it... Its really really important.

Hey man, sorry for the slow reply.. Have you tried going into download mode? (Volume Down+ Home + Power button) while the device is off?
If that doesn't work. I would take the battery out, plug it into the wall, then try to enter download mode.
If THAT doesn't work, I would leave the phone completely off, plug it in. Then try to enter download mode..
If you get to download mode, you have hope.
I don't recommend the twrp app. Flash custom recovery in odin.
It's bootlooped 4 of my devices all of which, from what I understand have unlocked bootloaders.
I would also recommend not using kingroot at this point because i believe it changed my imei now i'm network blocked. Odin and whatever rom you need for your model is your way back i hope. Remember BL bootloader AP is the same as PDA and CP is the phone file and you don't have to have a pit file necessarily.
