Has anyone seen or uses a similar application to jetware mobile to enhance the bluetooth on your PDA??
I use BatteryStatus, It can place a (bluetooth, wifi) shortcut on today....
Have a look also to Ilauncher....
With that you can have what ever icon you want on your today....
So bluetooth, wifi, shortcuts to other program ecc.....
You can also edit the icon with your own...
That is a very nice app...
Thanks for the reply but what I am actually looking for is similar to jetware which adds extra profiles to the bluetooth stack not icons, it helps with devices or bluetooth car kits that can read sms etc
Battery status does not actually add anything or extend the bluetooth stack.
I wonder if we can contact the author of the jetware extension to release the source code. He's obviously not doing anything with it anymore.
Top! UP! UP!
Yep UP! i'm also looking for a way of extending the BT stacks functionallity without having to replace the stack itself. Perhaps we really should try to contact the author of jetware
No other app in this world to function like Jetware extension?

may i ask why are you looking for a similar one and not use this one?
i am asking 'cose i found myself long time ago that is causing some problems
with the BT communication....do you have the same problems?
In my case there are some minor problems with BT connection and it also does not deliver entire functionallity that i require - like PBAP and other stuff
Same here. It's not finished and the developer just kinda dissapeared two years ago. Sooo we're looking for someone to take over. Someone please take over on this! There could be a lot of money involved. I would pay up to $100 to get this done!
I'm on the case
Also, what is PBAP?
Ok I think I've found everything I need to get started on this. Since I don't have a device to test this with, I need to know what feature you think would be easiest to implement or what feature you want the most. ie: List contacts, list messages, etc.
This way, I can focus on implementing this one thing, and once it's working i'll know i'm on the right track and can move on from there.

i'm gonna go try this on my pioneer bluetooth
*update* pocket bluetooth works perfect with my pioneer in-car bt unit.
HI guys
Just wondering does Jetware 1.31 work well enough with car kits? I tried my Polaris with the Alpine KCE-350BT and it doesn't work so am about to test it using Jetware. Just wanted to know do you need to run Jetware each time or just for the initial phone book upload? Once the contacts are uploaded i think it should work properly without running Jetware correct?
Just can't really place anything on the today screen or a shortcut, so interested to hear if there is anything else better.
thanks,

this didn't seem to work on my HTC TC.
Anyone else close to a working alternative? I really need something to replace OBEX and use the PBAP format to upload contacts to Alpine car kit.
Are there any registry fixes or does WM6.1 get around the problem as claimed by MS.
Cheers,
I can report that theJetware 1.31 works perfectly on my Orbit II with Parrot 3200LS car kit (use the Disable Synchro phone profile and then send contacts via Jetware).

How do you go about disabling synchro phone profile - is it the same with touch cruise?
I never really 'got' Jetware. Do you just need to send contacts once to the car kit? Also i assume you are meant to toggle bluetooth on/off using the Jetware shortcuts, not the normal bluetooth??
Thanks- i'm going to go bakc to the shop and test it now i've got a 6.1 Rom on, as the OBEX was a problem so perhaps with this turned off in adv. config. it may work (fingers crossed).
When you go to pair the phone on the Parrot, you should see 'Disable Synchro' in the list of phone types available. Select this and then proceed with pairing. Once paired, you can go into the Jetware extension (Contacts area) and Send all your contacts. The huge plus is that if you use automatic synch, you will get duplicate entries for every phone number held for a given contact. If you use the Jetware Extension to send contacts, you get one entry per contact, with all the numbers correctly identified as mobile, home, work.
Then when you dial, you say the contact name, then 'home' or 'work' etc. If you use voice dialling this is essential, otherwise you have to record every number individually (voice tag "John Doe home", "John Doe work" instead of one tag "John", then "mobile" or "home" when prompted for number type).
I hope that makes sense, but since your message is two weeks old (sorry, haven't been here for a while) you may have it figured out.
AFter all that, it seems the developers at Jetware have given up. They don't respond to email and the link to purchase the software is broken/dead. That's a bummer as I have lost my activation code and just got a new phone....

Thanks for the reply - I have never seen this option of 'disable synchro' anywhere on the phone, jetware options or on the car kit interface.
It seems to be working well enough now, but the phone book did get corrupted and couldn't fix it till i paired another phone then mine again. (contacts were mixed up - some first name last name, and didn't show /H or /M for home or mobile etc but seem ok now).
Part of it could be having to be patient with the Alpine BT kit, as it takes a while 'updating' on pairing to copy all the info again. Still doesn't work as fast or as reliably as i'd hoped, but probably good enough. May not have this phone forever, but don't want to get another one yet.
It's a shame they aren't supporting their product any more. Hopefully someone else could improve it or write something better, as the one annoying thing now is that i can't put the phone into sleep mode when i press the button - keeps powering back on to full lit screen, every few mins which wastes the battery as well as distracting when the phone is in the car mount- now i just have to lock the device as a workaround.
Make sure you follow these steps exactly! If you don't, you will have to do a webOS doctor and start from the beginning to get it to work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Things to do first!
Download freeTether from Preware.
On your phone, go into where the bluetooth settings are. Turn on messaging access or MAP. (these settings are in all cyogen roms and a lot of other phone too, like sensation and MyTouch)
Make sure you turn off WiFi during the pairing, it can confuse it. You can turn it back on after if you want.
In freeTether make sure you enable "Auto BT Tether " in general preferances and enable "PAN profile" in bluetooth pref.
Turn on touchpad and phones bluetooth now!
Tethering time!
1st - Launch freetether and just leave it running.
2nd - have your phone search for devices.
3rd - You should see the Touchpad, but don't pair it on your phone yet! Now launch the bluetooth setting on your touchpad(don't close freetether though)
4th - Now pair with your touchpad on the phone. Wait until you see a pairing request on the touchpad bluetooth settings screen. It comes up at the bottom. Accept there and then finish on your phone and your done.
5th - you can now close freetether just don't uninstall it. From now on both devices will automatically recognize each other so all you have to do is turn on the bluetooth on the touchpad and touch your devices name that's saved under bluetooth settings.
Hit "Thanks" and Enjoy!

This enables you to use your TouchPad as your phone basically. The TouchPad comes with a Phone Dialer and and a messaging app installed already, so you don't need to download anything extra to get it to work. The TouchPad was designed to only pair with other WebOS phones to use the SMS/Calling, this is a way around that to allow you to use other OS's.
And no bluetooth headset is needed, calls play over the speakers on the TouchPad.
very cool will try this later tonight thanks!
Can you please edit the "Motorola Droid Charge" to the "Samsung Droid Charge"? I saw it like that in the Palm forum and it really irritates me!

don't see the messaging access setting on desire running miui pretty good find though!
Some Phones/Roms dont require you to active the MAP. So Give it a shot anyways. Worse comes to worse, the calls will still work for ya.
Sounds very cool... Will try it.
Sent from my CM7 Atrix!
htc evo 3d has report issues and will resend the texts sent from the hp touchpad once the phone is restarted.
mine did it.
I have a Samsung Infuse 4G but it does not "find" the Touchpad when I do a search on the phone. Both bluetooths are turned on. Also on the TP, what do you select to find the phone? Do you choose Audio or Other?
On the 'Free Tether' app a circle symbol has appeared next to Bluetooth and it also shows as on, yet my android phone is picking up the touchpad
Any ideas?

Well you shouldnt be doing the paring from the TouchPad, you should be doing it on your phone and then wait for a pop up on the TouchPad. You will probably need to doctor your TouchPad and start over now. From some reason if you make a mistake with the pair process the TouchPad won't allow it with that phone again.

If you can't see your TouchPad on your phone Or your phone on your TouchPad under the bluetooth settings, then the only thing that I can recommended trying is doing a WebOS doctor and starting from the beginning. Like I said in a previous post, there are so many phones and Rom out there the pairing will be different with a lot of them. Just play around with it and post how you got it to work here!
So I managed to pair my Milestone 1(droid) with TP. I can answer phone calls with TP but I can't dial out. Furthermore, text messaging doesn't receive and I don't know how to send one.
Any ideas?
PS: This is so fun to answer a phone with my TP though!!! Thanks a million!
Can confirm voice calls work with Photon 4g, text messaging does not
ive tried it but i dont see a pop up screen om the touchpad to inter the password...
Great guide, many thanks.
Calls working on my Desire with CM7 and HD2 with WM7 (mango)
SMS not working though, would be v interested if anyone can fiddle it so it works!
This didn't work for my HTC Inspire. The phone didn't find the TouchPad at all.
Does anyone have the Ca-Fi Android car stereo? It seems it was recently released. I really want one, and will probably get one.
ca-fi.com/en/
Im debating on ordering one too.... though they list a 800mhz and a 1.2ghz version. Seems the 800mhz version is the only one available
Wish XDA would make a section for it and some custom **** was done with it!
total junk. save your money
I got one yesterday and installed it. Save your money. Its total junk. Was definatelu rushed to market.
No android market (yes you read that right)
Navigation requires data connection either through hsdpa gsm 3g or wifi (meaning you have to provide data for navigation to work at all)
Voice navigation doesnt work (it asks you to install additional files via the market, which again doesnt exist so it fails)
Every time i start the unit it goes to fm radio even when i dont want it to. Force closing the radio app does nothing.
The list goes on and on and on. NEVER AGAIN

I actually thkught about that too. Problem is you really cant connect it to a pc so any rooting work woukd have to be done via microsd card and run natively in 2.2. Not only that even if you root it theres no gurantee the android market would be installed as the "default" market. This means the voice navigation may never be solved.
Long story short, i am veey disappointed. :-(
that unfortunately, I wanted one for my birthday

Doesn't it have a USB port on it?
I made the same mistake of purchasing one. I have been unsuccessful in trying to root it. Z4 will just freeze the device requiring a power cycle. I attempted to connect via USB but did not have any luck using this method either. The problem is that the radio runs both USB ports in Host mode. This keeps it from showing up as a device when you connect it to a computer. I have tried both the front and rear ports with Windows and Linux.
I did manage to get the Android Market app installed. It took a good bit of work and involved copying the Google apps including first boot to an SDcard and sideloading them. The first boot app did break my home button, it currently does nothing and I can't figure out how to re associate it with the launcher.
Once I was able to connect my Google account, I was able to sideload the market apk. Of course, this required working wifi. The dumb device is configured for wifi using a wpa_supplicant file which specifies that 802.1x authentication is required. Seeing as I'm not using this on my wifi, I needed an app called wifi fixer to override this setting. I also needed to setup an unsecured wireless network because I couldn't get wifi-fixer to connect to a wep or wpa network. Once connected, the wireless was very spotty but worked long enough for what I needed.
After all this was completed, I was able to download an offline navigation app, copilot live, that would allow me to use the device as a nav while I wasn't sitting in the driveway connected to the wifi. I did try connecting to my rooted DroidX with CM7 using wifi tether but could not get the radio to complete the connection.
As shassouneh pointed out, it boots into FM Radio every time its powered on. This allows it to start playing music quickly, but is very annoying. I typically stream music from my phone over bluetooth which requires the volume to be much louder than when listening to the FM Radio. When you start the vehicle, the volume is remembered and will be deafening. The FM radio application is very buggy and it will take several attempts to save your radio presets with an acceptable name. It tries to use the digitally broadcast station information as the preset name, but often it just returns garbage. After trying some twenty times, I was able to get most of my presets to read the frequency and the FCC station name. (ex. 93.1 WPOC).
The touch screen is very disappointing. It's a low-quality restive type which requires that you touch below the point you're aiming for. This makes getting to buttons at the very bottom of the screen a challenge. I tried calibrating the screen, but was sent into and endless loop of touching the cross-hairs...
The "Phone" app has all the bluetooth configuration including pairing, contacts, music, etc. it is very rudimentary. The radio frequently fails to connect to my phone on its own and needs to be forced to connect. Sometimes the play button will start the phone playing music and other times it won't. I haven't found a rhyme or reason for it yet. It doesn't support AVRCP and as such you get three buttons when streaming music over bluetooth: Previous, Play/Pause, and Next. There's no indication of which song is playing nor is there any way to browse the music on the phone from the radio.
Overall, the device is absolutely terrible. Perhaps if I could root it, I could fix a number of its annoying characteristics and it wouldn't be so bad. I was most disappointed by the poor wifi and the FM radio at boot. There is such potential here to make an awesome device... Do not waste your money on this piece of garbage no matter how tempting it may be.
Bought one also !!!
I discovered that the product seems to be sold has with another brand :
http://www.ekoore.com/web/en/product/car-hi-fi-2/elija-2/overview-6.html
The point is that they are providing an update.zip containing files and probably could be used for rooting the device. Found the link http://www.ekoore.it/download/elija/update.zip in the italian forum.
From what I understood, this is a 2.3 device ...
Confirmed mine is 2.3.3
Tried several rooting tools (Z4, GingerBreak, Visonnary+, Universal Androot ...) none of these are working.
Wasn't able to dump the rom (no ADB, used terminal with RomDump V7.2) but found that there is a physical switch inside the box. I can have a message displayed "No signal received", just by starting the device while the switch is pressed. Didn't manage to konow if this is bootloader mode or not.
Found a Quick Start guide explaining how to build kernel and so on http://wendang.baidu.com/view/6545cb13a216147917112879.html
Chip TC8900 seems to be used widely for several chinese tablets. So rooting shouldn't be as difficult as it seems. My guess is that the only way to have it rooted is to modify the update.zip above....but I don't know how to do it !!
From what I understood, the radio, BT etc ... parts are not running Android and are something completely different. The only way to switch to an android environment is to go to navigate mode.
Guys,
I'm surprised, I've had this installed in my car for a couple months now and it works great and I do use it daily and thoroughly.
I have installed Android market (couple of minutes, easy to do), have my email, contacts, everything setup, I even get auto updates for installed apps
Bluetooth pairing with both my HD2's works flawlessly and synced all contacts from both phones
The dedicated iPod interface works great with my 160Gb iPod, I have a USB hub in the glovebox with a 2.5" HDD , WiFi dongle and 3g dongle all connected in.
Navigation doesn't require a data connection, I have a several different SatNav apps installed - some online and some offline, but I stick with Waze as I like it..., Waze unfortunately starts up in portrait but that's easily sorted with a press of the home key and Waze also puts up a single warning about battery being flat, but there's no battery, so what would you expect.....
can also listen to good quality internet radio on the move
If you buy a device like this, you've gotta expect a data connection to be required for initial setup of your apps and how you want them, I've run the device without internet, through my phone and through a 3g dongle.
It works properly and reliably with my original steering wheel controls and the way it sets this up is the best I've seen on a in car device and simplicity itself.
It also boots to the last source being played, in my case normally iPod, but if the iPod etc is missing, then it will default to the radio.
The touchscreen isn't the best in the world, but is very useable, if the alignment is out then recalibrate it by holding the back button until the calibration screen appears..
Only thing I really don't like is if you burn some mp3's to a cd/dvd, they play through the dvd interface, not through the android media players.
I genuinely like the unit, it's a nice toy to have in the car and has no more issues than any other android device I've used...
J
Should say that the FM quality is really awful ! Can't even get the RDS working ...

Cool device. I loved it sound quality, pure, very sharp image. Very quick response. Yes, the touch screen isn't as good as we used to have on smart phones. Still works o.k. Just look at others DVD player made on Windows CE6.0 platform. They ain't better in anyway.

Could you please give me a hint how you manage to install Market on that thing?
Still working on it. Which Android version do you have? I have 2.2
You see, Android Market which built for smart phones doesn't work very well for CAR stereo devices. That Market doesn't differentiate between "good" and harmful applications, which can shut down your system forever.
Remember most of software designed for smart phones doesn't work under CA-FI platforms. Supplier said so, I 'd be happy to be wrong.....

Is that possible to use that manual for building a kernel, which could be used instead of pre-installed software? Seems interesting. Any thoughts?
Market came from the 2.3.3 build already installed on device. You probably can try the apk within the update archive http://www.ekoore.it/download/elija/update.zip . As the italian website is quite slow i extracted it. From what i understood update seems to not working on all devices.
Regarding the manual, of course I was thinking it could help for anything like root, recovery image or enabling adb. But honestly i don't have enough knowledge to do myself.
Hi Everyone, just found this thread. I have this unit as well and have been building info on the MP3car site about it, overall i'm happy with the unit although i haven't been able to do everything i want to it.
The audio quality for me is good and i can tether data off of my phone to play internet radio and navigate through waze or otherwise. I'd definately like to see some development in this area myself as there are some welcome improvements to be made. i've sideloaded the market but was never able to update it. the player will default to the last built in media that was played when it shuts down and there seems to be several volume streams built in, i've heard people haven't been able to adjust these with volume apps.
here is the MP3car thread: http://www.mp3car.com/android-tablet/150109-innotrends-ca-fi-on-order-will-review.html
Upon request, here is the update zip from the italian forum. Rename from update.zip to elira-update.zip
elija-update.html
I recently purchased and installed the Ca-Fi "Universal" 620 to replace my JVC head unit that died after 5 years. Because there isn't much information out there about this product, not even from the manufacture, I thought I'd provide the good and bad from an audiophiles perspective(...and I only coin the term audiophile because I have a full on sound system in my car, not because I'm into the lossless debates and all that BS).
The Bad (or the ugly):
-Has an individual RCA jack for subwoofer output. (left/right(white/black, red) is pretty standard. Now I have to buy a sum'er to join the channels. What if I had two subs running left and right channels of bass...I'd be up a creek and would have to buy splitter then a line driver...blah come on.
-Although there is individual subwoofer level control there is no subwoofer (low) frequency control. So, my lows that run to my subwoofer are the lows that will run to my speakers and I can’t do this cause my front stage was meant for highs and mids.
-The Graphic EQ, although having 10+ frequency to set they provide automatic roll off of nearby frequencies so, it's hard to fine tune.If you’re going to give me that many frequencies then please let me control each one of them.
-The balance controls (and all other touch screen sliders)were OK but, they sorely need increase/decrease buttons (i.e. “+” and “-“). Trying to configure a good sound stage is hard with resistive touch screen sliders.
-The P.CNTL (I assume Power Control, again no documentation) is switched off and on when you change sources (or I think actually when no sound is “sensed”) whaa? So now, because my amps have delayed starts, each time I switch a source (or Pandora even buffers a new song) the relay power drops to my amps and I have to wait for my amps to power up again. Not to mention the pops because of the high current switching on and off..man. So now I have to find an off delay relay so my amps don't turn off when I change the source. Now I could very well be the idiot on this one and need to use the P.ANT (I assume power antenna) but, the reason I didn’t is because P.ANT is solid blue wire, whereas P.CNTRL is a blue with white strip which is more industry standard for relay control.
-The boot up source is always going to the Radio. I read some other folks already discuss that here and there but, come on, really, you can't just remember the last source I had.
-Bluetooth (or lack thereof) yes, it will play your music from your phone (in my case HTC Sensation) but, that's about it. If I want to change an artist or song or whatever I have to do it from my phone. I thought it would have this to make me a safer driver so I don't have to look/mess with my phone to get new songs, guess that's what I get for assuming?
-Auto screen Dimmer doesn't work or isn't that great cause I still have to manually dim the screen at night.
-Resistive touchscreen I gotta hammer the screen to push buttons. Each push takes my attention away from the road, no bueno!
-Wifi doesn't support WEP or WPA no biggie since I'm driving and I don't think hackers do drive by hackings (or do they?). But, still sucks cause when I use it at the airport I have to turn it back on. Just a nuisance but, wifi WILL tether (provided you buy the additional USB Wifi Adapter).
-Some Apps don't recognize my wifi connection and thus will not work. Case in point, Google Maps. wft! the whole reason I got the thing was to wifi tether with my phone and control goolge maps from ca-fi. Nope can't do it. booo.
-Double DIN – not really. I don’t know what standards they followed but, my original brackets from my original Double DIN HU (head unit) didn’t work. The unit sticks out so far my radio door won’t close and there’s a gap of about .25 inches on both sides. No install kits will work with this because it’s not truly a standard Double DIN.
The Good
-The bluetooth phone capabilities work good. Contact list is ok. Of course it sucks for me because of the whole P.CNTRL thing. Yes, when I switch to Phone it turns off and on my amps…grrr.
-Mini SD card slots and a miniUSB port in front, very nice/convenient.
-System isn’t as slow as one might think for such a “slow” processor. My HTC Sensation runs circles around this thing ;p.
-Nice interface for the radio.
-You can run Apps. Although a lot of them crash (i.e. Force Close) every now and then for no apparent reason.
-Pandora works (with wifi tether) very nicely.
-Push button (knob) for mute and knob volume control.
….that’s all I’ve got for now but, so far the goods don’t out weight the bads so, I’m not happy with regards to the amount of money I spent vs. what I’m getting vs. what actually works. I’m not upset because I went into this fully knowing I was going to be a guinea pig but, if you’re a music first, apps and other **** second, kind of person like me steer clear my friends.
Not that any manufacture ever cares or even reacts to forum post, I’m going to try and communicate this to the manufacture and hopefully see if a) they’re aware of these issues and b)if they plan to release fixes/patches to help their “new adopters” out. Don’t get me wrong this company has a great product and great idea but, they’re seriously mistaken if they think they can compete with the big boys (Android Apps or no Android Apps).
What do jou Guys/girls think about this product....... http://www.chinavasion.com/2-din-ca...chable-android-23-tablet-panel-wifi-gps-dvbt/
I find it very interesting
I have a Sprint S3, and it will pair to my car stereo just fine, but it keeps disconnecting. Once paired, there is option boxes for "Call audio" and "Media audio"
It seems like if I turn one option on, it disables the other, and vice versa. Every time I start the car, the pairing is out of whack and I have to start over, enabling whichever one I want, and after a few times it works. I did get both to work one time, but as soon I turned car off then on, it was broken again.
My old phones have never had a problem connecting both Call and Media to my car, so I am concerned it is an issue with the S3.
I have 2010 Nissan Altima with the upgraded stereo. I have removed all previously paired devices so only the s3 shows up. I have removed and re-added the s3 several times. I have renamed the car's bluetooth name several times as well.
Is anyone else experiencing a similar issue, or can you test it with your car audio systems and let me know if it works for you?
Let me know if there some information I should provide to better understand the issue.
Thanks,
Rob
Hey robmtx, this might help you out. Theres an app in the market called bluetooth fix repair.
I had the same issue with my last two droids (1 and 3), and this solved the dropped connections. good luck
Thanks.
I'll give that a try.
I've also been reading how this might be more of an ICS issue than a device issue. It appears there are similar discussions in other device threads. I'll keep researching and also try this app.
I used my S3 in a rented car a view days ago and paired it with the installed Ford car stereo.
I played MP3 via Bluetooth and made some calls via Bluetooth. It all worked flawless. I also did not see any checkboxes for "call audio" or "media audio".
When I left the car and came back later it connected automatically. So I guess the problem is not a general problem.
this happens on mine as well from stock XALE8 to the latest XALF5. i went ahead and posted on samsung's FB page..but doubt we'll get a response
by the way, ive had this same issue whether im connecting to a bluetooth 2.0 or bluetooth 3.0 headset/car kit.
Right I might know the answer to this as I had the same problem as few weeks ago.
If you have Facebook, twitter, whatsapp or anything like this best thing is to get rid of them if you don't want to go to your accounts and sync on your phone and untick the sync with contacts on any of the apps you have installed.
Then go to call log and clear your call history.
Delete the bluetooth pairing turn the phone off and back on, repair with the car, mine has worked perfectly since I did this.

Did you remove your Gmail account too when doing this? I plan to remove FB, stock e-mail (yahoo) but wasn't sure I wanted to go through removing gmail and removing Touchdown for Exchange.

Sorry for the newb question - but what are these in reference too? Are they a firmware or similar version of something? I was looking under About phone but didn't see anything similar.

I have no problems pairing the s3 with my Volvo. Streaming, skipping titels, switch to phone during streaming - everything is working fine. Syncing E-Mail via Exchange an Gmail makes no difference.

yes this is your firmware version. settings > about > build number > I9300XXALF5. this is the most current. stock should be I9300XXALE8. under baseband version is your modem (which should contain the drivers for your 3G radio/bluetooth/wifi (i think)

My Build number is IMM76D.L710VPALEN which threw me off. Guess it is different for Sprint. Baseband L710VPLEN
I think I'll just buy a car without bluetooth and be done with this mess. It's so annoying playing the "will it pair" game.

bluetooth bug
I have a strange problem with my bluetooth audio...I have a Denso radio in my Ford Mondeo and the nightmare starts whan I connect phone via bluetooth to it. Phone some time don´t wake up from sleep. The only way how to solve (partialy) this is to reset phone (long press of power button). Then phone connect perfectly and everything is working like a charm. This problem I had on every rom I´ve tried yet
Every other phone I´ve had before didn´t suffer such prblems (galaxy note, evo 3d...)
Somebody could help? I don´t know what to do...
Same Issue
I'm having the exact same issue with my SG3 (Stock, not rooted *yet*). The initial pair works great - phone and audio sync. Once I shut the car off and back on again, the Phone connection does not automatically initiate and I have to manually connect it on my head unit. I'm driving a 2013 Mazda CX5. It's not my headunit since both my HTC Inspire 4G and HTC One X connect without issue. Another annoyance is the lack of song titles or other ID3 info on screen. Even my old Inspire had that!
My connection is great, but I am having an issue with tags. I'm using PowerAmp, but my Alpine unit displays the wrong song info - it automatically uses the default app. Is there any way to fix this?

i have the exact same problem, having before a Milestone/Droid 1 and a Galaxy S1, both have functioned flawlessly with my car...
By the way, my car is a Renault Fluence 2011, maybe it uses the same BT chip as your Altima as Renault and Nissan are pratically the same manufacturer...

Hi,
Did you get it working with CX-5 as I just spent 500pounds on this phone and have exact same problem. Thinking of getting an HTC One X instead.

So far I'm still in the same boat. I rooted today and used a market app called "Bluetooth fix" so next time I'm in the car I'll see if it fixed the issue.

Hi HOX+ forum.
Here is my little contribution.
I have tested SONY´s Smart Connect avalible for FREE on >>>Google Play Store<<<, and it actually works on our HOX+ smartphones, both the AT&T and the International version, and probably also a lot of other phones as well.
It can do allmost everything you need...
It can eg. switch on and off things like settings and programs when you connect the charger, or your headset, OR it can turn things on and off at specified times.
- or even a combination of these...
Say you want to set the phone silent at night, but ONLY if you are at home, then just set a "sound off" time AND set charger as the other option, then both things have to be correct for the software to turn the phone silent...
There are a lot of options in the apk, here is a few:
Triggers:
Time
Charger
Headset
Headphones
Start options (Also stop options):
Play
Bluetooth (ON-OFF-SWITCH)
Data
Call
Sound
Read time
Send SMS
Send Facebook status
Start program
Volumen
Wifi (ON-OFF-SWITCH)
I use it simply to turn off sound every night, when it is connected to my charger and the time is 23:00-06:00...
I have been using it on my SONY phones as it is pre-installed on them, and then i discovered the program on >>>Google Play Store<<<, and tried it, and it turned out that it actually works really fine on HOX+ also...
We use the software daily in our family on a Samsung Galaxy SII, HTC Sensation, HOX+ and also 3 different SONY phones.
just thought i put this here since ive never heard of it before.
Just verified that it works on One X+ for AT&T.
thanks OP, works good.
Wheere is apk for that ...

You can do all this and a ton more with Tasker. Tasker does cater mostly to the pocket protector crowd, this may be simpler, so thanks for sharing. Love my Tasker though, the best $5i have ever spent.
