Hi guys,
I was running the latest version of VillainROM and after trying to flash stock kernel and rebooting, I am getting a BOOT LOOP at the VillainROM startup screen. I tried connecting to Odin in download mode but ODIN is not recognizing the phone.
Please help out. I forgot to take backups using CWM before installing the kernel and now I am not able to connect to the PC either. Is there any way of flashing back the old kernel/ROM using external memory card? Any suggestions? I would be really grateful! Thanks.

Had been using Cyanogen Mod and Siyah kernel. Decided to reboot and the phone got stuck at the ! Insecure kernel stage and woudln't go into rcovery.
Went into Download mode and flashed my O2 stock firmware via Odin. Boots part the intial stage and now its stuck at the animation of the S with SGS2 at the bottom and doesn't go any further than that.
Any suggestions would be great.
ur-root then re-root it

I second this.
Yes, that thread have helped me to get out of the boot loop situation.
If you did a backup before, you're good.
If not you will lose your data, but still, you get your phone to work again

I know issues like these can suck. But please post in the right section.
Eg. Q&A / General.
As for the phone, do you have a recovery installed? Just boot into recovery mode and flash a new ROM.
no i don't
Follow these instructions (first sticky in the dev section):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1286432
That will return your phone back to stock.
Sent from my Galaxy S II (i777)
After Odining back to stock, enter stock recovery and do a wipe data/factory reset.
Which is in the very first post of the thread Quarlow linked...
creepyncrawly has a more detailed guide in the General section that is stickied.

If you have recovery then wipe everything and reboot then pull the battery for 20min. and try to flash an originall firmware.Otherwise go to the sticky threads and read the posts on as advised on how to unbrick. If you have recovery then you should beable to get it working again yourself. Also see if you can flash Lightning ROM to recover it.Works for a lot of people.
If you can access download mode then you only need to flash to unbrick it
Hey ive followed all the steps from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1657056 and I still cant see to get it to work.
Once my tab enters recovery mode, it just goes back to the android recovery and not the custom recovery. Not sure what ive done wrong.
Pretty much stuck on step 4.

Well...if you have a 10.1 tab 1 WiFi only. I have a rooting thread in the Q&A section. I'm not sure how it will work on the 3g model.
But your link was to a tab 2 rooting method..if you have that device...then you are posting your help question in the wrong forum.
Let me know and I'll help.
