[Q] Trick to Play unsupported games? - Optimus One, P500, V General

I installed stardunk, but it force closes as soon as I open it. So, I installed chainfire, switched to nvidia, powervr and qualcomm one by one, also clocked my cpu to 729 mhz, but it still force closes.
I also tried modern combat 2. It displays "phone not supported. please request for a refund" no matter whichever plugin I choose in chainfire.
Any trick to make such games work? And any known unsupported game that u know which works via chainfire on o1?

try some russian websites where they have modded games to work on o1 ....
use miks cm 6.6.1 for better gaming experience...

I couldn't find any such site. Can u help me?

Pirated software is not allowed on this forum as it is against the spirit of development.
Where do you get the game?
Nothing in the market, is it in that Tegra game-thingy?

Whoops, clicked thanks by accident.
Anyway, you need to install Chainfire3D from the market, as well as the relevant plugins from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1121575 (nvidia in this case, although theres also powervr and qualcomm which you should install anyway), then use the 'fix market settings' option inside. That will open up Shadowgun on the Android Market, along with any other games which are 'Nvidia Tegra Only' or whatever. When you do install Shadowgun, open chainfire again, use the per-app settings, and change it so that it uses the nvidia plugin. You can even turn on 4x MSAA for better graphics, although some have found that 16x MSAA is actually too much for the phone to run.
It should play perfectly after that, since those are the exact steps I used to play it.
Tried the alternative one (if you know what i mean) to test, the free version of chainfire was unable to handle the game it also crashes at the first level, after the introduction cinematic.
Ok!! Thanks very much to all!!

Yeyeye, knew all that. But I can't find it in the market, neither on my PC (Even when not being signed in)
I have always used that fix market settings.
Thanks though

Chainfire3d just wont work

I simply can not get the darn thing to work, I did everything as directed. I am running wanalite ROM or something.. Any help..
After you install chainfire you have to install the cf3d driver, then you need to install the nvidia plugin, then switch to the nvidia plugin and the game should work.
I did all that, how would I get tegra zone to show up in the Market?

No idea, that's not what chainfire does.
I seen the youtube video where after he put the Nvidia plug in and in the market all the apps showed up including the tegra zone..
It's one of the pro options "Fix Market settings".

All gameloft games not supported

Hello I have a GT-I9100P (Orange) with a 2.3.4 gingerbread official (not rooted , no cyanogen) and every single gameloft game does not work , when i launch either modern combat or nova or 9mm or asphalt any game from gameloft it says that my device is not supported , and i dont know what to do.
It seems that Gameloft doesn't know, what GT-I9100P (Orange) is. Can you download it from market?
nope either does not show up in search or says incompatible.
I had problem with gameloft games too. I tried to install Let's Golf 3, but i couldn't find it on market from phone. I found games instalation file and could install and run it. I also have rooted my phone and installed CyanogenMod7. So this does not seem the same problem.
well the only game i got working is modern combat 3 , I had to root my phone then use titan backup to make the game launch in offline mode only. So the check dissapears and I get to play the single player portion of the game , though i cant find similar methods to other games.
Try if this works:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20904858
first backup, because phone might not boot up, because of wrong values.
There is also link to my post. Thy your luck
Open /system/build.prop
Search for "checkjni", change value to 0. This applies for modern Combat and Google Earth and probably many other apps

there is no such line in the file , should i create that line?
Have you tried downloading the games directly from Gameloft website?
I couldn't find Let's Golf 3 on Market, but I went to its website and now I've got it installed and running on my SGS2.
I tried but the gameloft does not support the phone model so i cant get passed that screen , BUT yesterday I installed ICS and all gameloft games worked , probably because after flashing the build.prop was changes ( i dont actually now i just think that it did) but i didnt like that some functions dont work so i reflashed back to stock , so the games stopped working , so im thinking if i find what to do in the build.prop file , i would be able to play gameloft games.
See if change ro.product.model= line in build.prop to GT-I9100 helps.
got it resolved , flashed cyanogenmod 9 to my phone , now all games work fine.

Chainfire 3D games. (cm7 only)

Ok, So as many people have noticed, it's possible to install chainfire if you are running cm7. (Stock nook rom bootloops when you try to install, so if you don't know what "cm7" is, or "stock nook rom" don't even think about installing chainfire 3d unless you are a masochist.)
This thread is dedicated to what games you have been able to run on the NT with chainfire installed, and a quick mention of what settings you used to get it to work.
I've so far only downloaded and installed TegraZone, and got it to forward me to the market download pages. (not yet had the time to download anything) Though I am looking forward to playing around with it.
I will be compiling a list of games and what settings were successful here as people list them.
Soulcraft THD runs with reduce texture quality and the nvidia plugin. It lags when some spawns load, but this doesn't seem to prevent playing.
Street Fighter IV runs with Qualcomm plugin.
Ive got Chainfire3D set up but how exactly (and where exactly) does one obtain the nvidia drivers?

Nevermind i found em and installed but afterwards i still cant run any of the games. I chose the nvdia driver under opengl and clicked fix market but still says its uncompatible with device. Itll load the market page from the tegra app but then it says its uncompatable

After I installed the chainfire plugins I cleared the data on the market app and rebooted. I used fix market of course and the market no longer shows me the incompatible with this app message.
Trying to get princess punt thd working but so far no luck at all. Thinking I'll be skipping it and moving to the next game

Hmm, Other things I have setup in my settings might make a difference. In the chainfire menu, I've got the nvidia driver setup under default for all apps, and setup as well under per app for the tegra app store. Try making those changes, clear your market data again and reboot (and refix the market)

Hmm. When I first installed the tegra app, I couldn't install from the market. (was trying to install soulcraft) I searched a bit, and found an apk online to download. it installed easy enough via es file explorer, but wouldn't run. I uninstalled the chainfire driver, and reinstalled it with the box checked for the beta egl driver. I then set the nvidia plugin under defaults with chainfire and cleared the market data. (I think this is also where I fixed permissions with rom manager for good measure). after rebooting and setting up chainfire for tegra app to use the nvidia plugin (and only nvidia plugin) for good measure, I also clicked on fix market again for good measure, I tried soulcraft and it still wouldn't run. I went into the tegra app and looked up soulfire. It went to the market download page and the update button was available. I clicked update. the app redownloaded and updated. Now it loads, and I notice that all the thd apps are showing me a download option in the market now.
Somewhere in all this the market started working with the tegra apps. Searches now will show up THD apps and downloads work fine too. I can't think of any other actions i took in trying to get them to load. Perhaps it was the fix permissions that tweaked things. not certain if it was the using the market to update soulfire but I don't see how that could be. I just assumed it was the clearing market data that did it. It might also be the beta egl driver that did it.
Lol ill try that soon when i have the time. Yu really want these tegra games dont you? And are they actually running smooth on the tab?

I've noticed a lot of games seem to come out first for the tegra based devices take soulcraft for instance. I read somewhere it's coming out for all devices soon, but the first release was tegra. When it comes to gaming, I'd rather not wait for several months to play a game if I don't have to.
As for running smooth, so far yes and no. I'm finding that soulcraft plays quite smoothly for the most part. However there are points where it freezes up for like 20 seconds while new creatures are loading. this hasn't negatively impacted gameplay but it's annoying. Otherwise it's played as smoothly as if it was meant for the NT. Still havn't been able to tweak princess punt to work, so I will move onto the next game I see later on tonight.
Ok, After tinkering with reinstalling chainfire after various rom flashes I think the key to get the market to show the tegra apps is simply to first wipe the market data. Second use the "fix market" button in chainfire.
If anyone cares Street Fighter IV runs with the help of Chainfire 3D and the Qualicomm (sp?) driver. Had to mess around a bit and watch a youtube video, it runs well but compared to other games the graphics are just ok and it can be a little choppy.
