I froze corporate sync authenticator and every time I went to group contacts my contacts foresclosed on me. Anyone no why? I defrosted it and the contacts work again without foresclosing on me.

Samsung T-Mobile app that merges facebook and twitter feeds. Any help is much appreciated.

there is one of these already on the vibrant.....on the stock rom anyway.
its the samsung feed widget....as long as you have your twitter and facebook accounts setup they will show in the widget.
I upgraded to bionix (sp?) 1.5 and it wasn't included. Didn't want to take up space in the development forum so thought I'd ask here.

you can pull the widget from the deodexed build.... i attached it for you...you can try pushing it to /system/app
and kudos to you for posting in the right place!!!
Thanks! Worked perfectly!

If you dont need a widget or just prefer something different try Tweetdeck Beta.
Hey should the native facebook app on the dx2, push notifications. To the phone?

Ok what I mean to say is how do I get notified from facebook using the stock facebook services?
Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk
To be honest, of course this is just a personal preference I have always had, I normally freeze the native facebook and just download the app from the market.. I know that doesn't answer the question asked but it may be easier for you..
I moved the native fb ap, and use the one from the market. The push notifications from it work great for me
Yea I cant figure it out for the life of me. Lol, so im going back to tweetdeck. Thanks guys.

Ever since loading the vzw 2.3.4 sbf I've had issues with contacts storage & process.acore fc's when trying to access any contact entry that's linked to Facebook. This is on the stock 2.3.4 sbf(rooted only), eclipse 1.1 & the stock deodexed 2.3.4 posted by pepperm1nt. Once I setup FB or twitter in accounts, any contact associated will fc, but the individual apps work fine, they just won't sync any current contact pix. All of this occurs w/o removing/freezing any of the blur social apks.
Anyone else seeing this?
Update: Sorry, forgot to add that it's only the blur contacts that fc, go contacts works fine so I might go back to eclipse & just push that to system/app if I can't figure out what's going on.

What rom are you on? On stock sbf or stock deodexed, the Facebook icon lets me sign in & it runs through the setup too. Friendcaster shows in accounts on stock but it won't open anything when selected from there. Eclipse allowed everything to be setup, but still fc's in contacts for me.

If you like eclipse just push Go Contacts Ex to system/app & set the launcher icon to default to that as a dialer.

Problem solved. After going back to 2.3.3 sbf & coming forward to 2.3.4 sbf, rooting & loading the stock deodexed rom, everything worked until I restored my backup w/TiBu. After uninstalling apps & testing I found it to be the new Google + 2.0 that I sideloaded. For some reason that breaks blur social syncing for me.

What rom are you on? Do you have FB or twitter set up to sync through accounts? You can try to remove your FB/twitter from accounts & see if you can open individual contacts. That's how mine was acting. W/o any social syncing I could access everything. Once I setup FB & twitter in accounts it was fc city, but only on contacts that had those links. Any contact that was strictly Google was fine.

I was on the stock sbf. I had also deodexed my ROM and installed the drop down toggles. I went ahead and sbf'ed, and now it is not happening. So we will see what happens.
I recently bought a vibrant from a friend of mine as a spare phone and I rooted it. The wife grabbed the vibrant and used it one day. she was messing around with the ROM toolbox app and then it started force closing. I don't know what she did but every 30 seconds or so it gives a prompt that says, "process Android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly". does anyone know what this means, or what I can do to fix it?

As i remember it, it had something to do with contacts sync error. Go to all apps and force stop google framework services and then force stop contacts, gmail and clear data. Do it a couple of times. Reboot and let everything sync again and hopefully it should be ok.

It has something to do with the contacts synching from what i recall.
1. Uninstall the facebook app if you have it installed.
2. Go to app manager: settings>applications>all>contacts storage>clear data
After this you can install the facebook app if it was installed.
I tried both solutions. Its still doing it, just not as often.

You might Also want to clear data from contacts storage after clearing contacts data. It will probably delete all your contacts, sms and call logs so backup etc.
I did a factory reset and force stopped/cleared data on anything that had to do with syncing contacts. I thinks its fixed! I'll post later to make sue though. I don't want to speak too soon. Thanx guys! Your help is greatly appreciated!

...well its at it again. My success was short lived. Could the wife have deleted something that may be causing this?

What rom are you using? Try a no wipe reflash
I didn't even think of flashing a rom. I flashed an ics rom and now it works fine. I'd still like to have a stock vibrant rom on hand just for the heck of it though. I really appreciate everyone's help on this. If anybody knows where I could find a stock t959 from let me know.

if you're on ics now and you want a stock rom you should odin first...you will be on stock 2.1...after that you can use kies mini to update your phone to the latest samsung official firmware which is 2.2
Err never ever use kies under any circumstance. Its a recipe for a brick. Read the sticky in this forum. Plenty of links for roms.

When my phone was doing this, it was not a contacts synch error, but a Calendar synch error. I had to clear my calendar data, export my Google calendar and re-import it, and re-do my Google account login in order to get it to stop. From my investigation, it could be any of the Google synch services.
Do a Google search for the error and one of the first responses will be an XDA thread about how to fix the error.
Thanx, I'm gonna try this tonite.

Hello children. Uhhhmmm I recently flashed epinters 10.1. Actually this is the first time flash a custom rom. I just wanna ask about my facebook contacts. I added my acct Facebook but it didn't snyc like blur does. I used sync me but wasn't satisfied. I want all my contacts in Facebook sync in my phone even though they dont have phone/contact numbers. How'd i do that?! Thank you.

Thats because this isn't a blur rom.
I recall seeing contact sync on android apps section.
EDIT: I cant fimd it, but you could also try in the playstore, there seems to be several apps that do what you need
